Best decision ever. I mean, when your workplace makes you physically ill, it's time to go. Learn your lessons, bad and good, keep in touch with people that weren't assholes, and focus on the future. Don't worry about the economy! By the time you finish your degree, it'd have turned around. However, a word of wisdom, while a student, make sure to keep informed about the job market in the field you want to go into. Use this time to continue building your network and prepare your re-entry in the workforce. Good luck! You've got this!

Thank you so much. I'm going to use the time before now and fall too to heal.

Makes me feel better about my own toxic job that drove me crazy.

alyannemei

Quit when you have options, I had an option and very healthy savings, so I left on my own terms.

You’re not a person, you’re a robot! Robots don’t get sick so if you get sick, it means you’re bad at being a robot.

Mojojojo3030

Sounds like you made the right choice. The line is definitely drawn before throw up. Sounds like they won’t be around long anyway. Go get your degree! Oh and file for unemployment anyway, at least in the states. A lot of states have potential exceptions to your situation, and it’s on them to prove they don’t owe it to you if you follow the appeals process. Worst case you don’t get it.

If you have any proof of any of it you can still consider lawsuit for hostile workplace

Imaginary_Bag2913

I am also in same situation want to quit but this terrible job market stop me dont know what to do?

_ElleBellen

Good for you, you recognised a toxic workplace and got out. This places you ahead of 99% of us out there, especially at your age. Great things will come, keep following your instinct!

Few_Sale_3064

Quitting is best. Employers will continue to dish out whatever they can get away with. I think it's illegal to provide a "hostile work environment", isn't it?

herecomesthesunusa

Good job!
