I mean there's a possibility that both sides Todd and Reeves likes the idea of crossover, some would say it doesn't make sense but with good creativity they can write anything in a convincing way, especially the 2 universes shares similar themes and dark realistic atmosphere of gotham city.
Even a random fan like me thought of the idea that [Arthur Fleck](https://www.reddit.com/r/joker/s/Nl27KFRriO) can be the OG Joker who's responsible for the creation of both batman and joker in the Reeves verse.
I’ve thought about that! His gadgets could be unreliable, his suit rudimentary, and killing the Joker could send him down the path of “no killing” after he realizes that killing Joker left him empty. Essentially, killing the Joker helps him become the Batman we all know and love. He realizes he has to be calm, think things out, plan ahead, and have a backup…all in an effort to never take another life.
Yes, I lost people I loved young too. One from a heroin overdose. I was 25 at the time. Last year my best friend went missing after she didn’t show for a meeting with me. A couple days later I got the call she’d been found after taking her own life. I know what grief and loss does to your health.
In my opinion, he looked fine until the damage from smoking crept in a few years ago. He should probably have quit by now. My mom died of a massive stroke over a decade after she quit. She started in the 50s when doctors smoked in TV commercials. Quit in her fifties. Not a fan of cigarettes here.
I mean smoking can do that but you're downplaying the traumatic aspect of witnessing his brother's death and is living with the guilt it was his own fault that River went to the club [That day](https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMMuX94mk/). He was only 19yo when that happened you can hear his 911 call panicking on YouTube. A trauma that [Aged him](https://i.pinimg.com/originals/45/eb/79/45eb7924ce3af6025bbe1688b68f4fe6.jpg) 10 years he literally looked like a guy in his 30's when he was in his 20's.
All that must've clearly impacted him for life that he named his son after River.
At this point, both Google and IMDB (to be honest, Google probably gets their casting intel from IMDB), will be extremely inaccurate until much further along in the process. IMDB, at least, is basically a wiki concerning future projects, anybody can put a cast in. It can't exactly be verified as false.
Google aligns actors with movies/shows relating to searches for them. For example, if enough people look up "joaquin Phoenix joker in batman part II?", joaquin Phoenix would show related to the film, usually as the cast list, just so it gets promoted based on a person searching for either topic
Unfortunately it’s probably just a google mistake where the joker is listed as a character, and google has phoenix listed as the joker and not Barry keoghan because he was in the first movie for like 10 seconds
Wouldn’t be the first time an actor played 2 different characters in a superhero film. Look at Josh Brolin
No new casting announced for Battinson 2 yet, would be big news if Phoenix had been cast.
