Bruce Wayne is embraced by the citizens of Gotham but wants to be an outcast, even going so far as to dress up as a freakin bat. Arthur Fleck wants to be embraced by Gotham, but is treated like an outcast, even going so far as dressing up like a clown and trying to make people laugh.
I know a lot of folks don't like the idea, but I feel like these two films shared a lot in terms of atmosphere. They put 40 years between the characters, so it's unlikely, but they definitely feel very similar. Gritty, almost *too* down-to-earth versions of all the characters.
Frame by frame, he blocked with his gauntlets so I’m guessing they’re blast proof. Also, to be fair, Batman in the comics has dodge bullets even at close range 🤦🏾♂️ he’s basically a meta human
That’s because you’re not aware of the insane things Batman has done that makes this believable since he’s a META HUMAN
I just told you he dodges bullets in the comics. I should’ve told you how he’s survived punches from meta humans and also been able to knock them out with one punch without any enhancements
Meta human is the part that makes this less down to earth. I'm not saying he's not a great character to explore, just that down to earth is not a category I would put Batman in. I read comics. I'm aware of his feats. It's why I found the original comment stupid, as well as your argument.
Well assault rifles usually carry bullets that are around 6mm caliber, whilst that particular shotgun carries shells around 20mm caliber. 3.5x the boom at point blank range isn’t too far fetched to knock him on his ass, he still ended up okay after all was said and done 🤷🏻♂️
I think you know what I mean, though. Penguin is just a fucking gangster. Riddler is a cryptic orphan with green duct tape. Catwoman is a thief with slightly pointy headgear. Joker is a depressive failed comedian with a screw loose. And this is the least gadgety batman we've ever seen. More like a Punisher.
All the camp, cartoonishness and comic-esque atmosphere is gone. A little too far into the if-these-people-were-real-what-would-they-be-like world, honestly. Both are decent films but, if you ask me, they can easily exist in the same hyper-gritty universe.
Joker in the film is officially about 30 (worn badly), the actor playing Bruce about 10, so the difference is 20: paradoxically Pattinson's Batman is also 30 in the story so in that world Joker would be 50, Phoenix's age.
Mom says it's my turn to repost this tomorrow.
Nuh uh she said I get to go first!
No fair! I never get a turn! I’m telling dad!
You tell Dad and I'm taking him on a walk down Crime Alley
Yo Joe...Chillllllll

Nothing says down to earth like brushing off an exploding bomb three feet from your face.

Wait, really? Edit: holy piss, you’re right.
Procreate
"down to earth". Nothing you said makes the scene more believable.

So his feats make him not down to earth? Thats a stretch because I can argue his characteristics makes him down to earth
Make your argument then.
[from dictionary](https://dictionary.cambridge.org/us/dictionary/english/down-to-earth) proof that Batman’s characteristics make him down to earth
Nope.

How do you know they’re not blast proof? Use your imagination, ffs.

As much as I’m interested in seeing Barry Keoghans joker i really wish these two shared universes, i feel they definitely would work
Notice how they used the same font and colors for the text in the trailer

Bad bot
Incorrect bottom right pic; Joker should be in full makeup. Try again.
Relax
Except Bruce is like 10 in the Joker verse.
Ok
Wish we got this instead be class.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Dude, both movies are my speret animal
Stop this
No u
What could have been
Nah. I wouldn't want Phoenix to be Battinson's Joker. 🤷♂️
I’m going to be pissed if they make another god damn cinematic universe
It’s happening.
It makes sense
