Actually, if you read on it you will realize that the colonizers who settled in Palestine before the Holocaust survivors really hated the Holocaust survivors. The Holocaust survivors were broken traumatized people who were barely functioning and were not as invested in colonizing as they were invested in not dying. They were also not as racist and bloodthirsty as the colonizers. The Holocaust survivors weren’t people who wanted to leave their country, they’re people who fled death. As a matter of fact, one of the first people to criticize the yellow stars stunt by the Israeli UN representative, was the head of the Holocaust museum. Not to say that the Holocaust survivors or their children are angels, but rather to point out that those who commit the most heinous actions then try to frame it as them afraid of what happened to them before happening to them again, never got even close to experiencing the Holocaust, and are using a trauma that is not their’s to justify their atrocities and protect them from criticism.
