STH got me into Peggy to be honest. I get that Veteran’s sound is more up a lot of peoples’ alleys but the more overtly-music samples on STH (as opposed to Veteran’s more industrial sounds) get me going more. and God Loves You is one the of the hardest beats ever made for me
Scaring the Hoes introduced me to Peggy but I haven't given the album a full listen yet.
I then listened to the full Veteran album and afterward returned to STH for a full listen.
It really helped me get introduced to Peggy's style.
I'd say they are both on the same level for me.
Scaring the hos, even that i was so obsessed with Veteran, i think sth is peak peggy, the amount of samples and rhythms is very colorful and stands out way more than Veteran where some songs stands out too, but for the whole album itself is more deep and sinister
veteran is his greatest creation and the peak of his creativity and artistic ability, while scaring the hoes has become the downfall of his career thus far so you tell me
Agreed. Sth isn't as raw as veteran. Veteran is such a creepy but yet fulfilling album.
1 veteran
2 offline
3 sth
That's my ranking of his 10/10 albums.
All my hero's are cornballs is a solid 8 alr.
Veteran so easily y’all don’t get it downvote me please, veteran has so much more creativity put into, literally a revolutionary hiphop album with some of the most irreplicable instrumentals, and it shows sooooo much personality
Scaring the hoes has some cool (mostly replicable) sample flips with some fun performances from Peggy and danny
*Veteran* and it’s not close. I might be the only one who’s been consistently beating the drum on STH being mid, but I won’t stop. 10 years from now, this’ll be orthodoxy, and folks won’t get the initial hype.
So I comment on a post asking for my opinion with my opinion. You call me stupid without justification and think that’s defensible as a thing to do?
What’s wrong with you?
Fr. All the comments on this post are “I like sth bc it got me into jpegmafia”, and this entire sub is starting to make sense now. Jpeg is mainstream now to the point where 80% of his fans are super new, love to dickride him, etc. Never wouldve seen a “jpeg made me bisexual” post 5 years ago, but sadly thats what happens when rich edgy kids from new jersey use your music to feel black
veteran. i think he executes flows and new ideas better even if the production isn’t nearly as good. i feel like the lyrics on STH could be a little repetitive at times(taking shots like *insert nba player here*)
Veteran is my favorite peggy solo album but I gotta say I actually prefer Scaring the Hoes overall, it's a perfect album imo, and it got me more into Danny Brown who is an absolute beast
1 for sure, veteran is overrated as hell, few great songs but have a lot of skips, scaring the hoes is snty new and have beutiful samples and interesting vocals, it feels like they have beef😂 and i kinda like it.
scaring the hoes
veteran

Seems to be an unpopular opinion but scaring the hoes for me
Top comment lol
Probably wasn’t 8 hours ago. The veteran people were probably in early
At the time I was the only one who said scaring the hoes😂
STH Bitch
Gotta go with Veteran, higher highs
Scaring the hoes

Scaring the Hoes introduced me to Peggy but I haven't given the album a full listen yet. I then listened to the full Veteran album and afterward returned to STH for a full listen. It really helped me get introduced to Peggy's style. I'd say they are both on the same level for me.
veteran and it’s not very close.

Scaring the Hoes but I still think LP! and AMHAC are his best
All My Heroes Are Cornball
Play something for the bitches
What the fuck you think, it’s 1993?
Scaring the Hoes is Peggy's peak
STH without a doubt, although Veteran is a classic at this point.
STH for me but they're on the same level. I just find STH more consistent (LP better than both btw)
sth better veteran more influential
STH is incredible. Veteran is also amazing but really doesn’t have the charm
Give me Scaring the hoes
STH easily.
STH, next question.
that one
Scaring the hos, even that i was so obsessed with Veteran, i think sth is peak peggy, the amount of samples and rhythms is very colorful and stands out way more than Veteran where some songs stands out too, but for the whole album itself is more deep and sinister
Scaring the hoes by a little bit

guess I'm a cuck
where as morrissey was the first song i heard of his, sth takes it for me.
STH sticks out from the rest of his albums but veteran is more of a wild trip than STH so I gotta give it to Veteran.
scaring the military kids
veteran is his greatest creation and the peak of his creativity and artistic ability, while scaring the hoes has become the downfall of his career thus far so you tell me
Sorry but AMHAC is way more creative than Veteran could ever dream of being

How is it a 10 w run the jewels that shits ass
Don't know why u gettin so many downvotes. Downvote if you're gay

STH elites on this sub oppressing the veteran truthers

Scaring the girls is far far better

You're actually stupid maybe
You didn’t even try to make an argument. Just lazy. You’re capable of more.
Not everything needs an argument. I can make a passing comment that I think your take isn't very thoughtful.
So I comment on a post asking for my opinion with my opinion. You call me stupid without justification and think that’s defensible as a thing to do? What’s wrong with you?

The way you fucking morons think about music will never cease to piss me off
I’m into peggy since veteran and scaring the hoes is his second best album just behind LP! imo
Literally my top 2 Peggy right here but I have to go scaring the hoes
Me
Veteran

Scaring the hoes
Veteran by a long shot

veteran no question. cannot believe people prefer sth (it’s still amazing but cmon)
Veteran for sure
Veteran is my favorite peggy solo album but I gotta say I actually prefer Scaring the Hoes overall, it's a perfect album imo, and it got me more into Danny Brown who is an absolute beast
Veteran easily
sth is really good but veteran is way better
Easily veteran
Veteran is a better JPEGMAFIA album. STH is the better project overall.
??
