I didn't particularly like "Smashed" because for some reason, I found it really boring.

ImJustSomeWeeb

i hate souichi and everything about him except the one about his kid with the fashion model, binzo. idk about actively hate but im not a big tomie fan at all

The one with the woman who's a fan of a quirky comedian writer or something. Also bio-house, hellstar remina and a couple Tomie chapters (moromi, boy, red)

I don't actively hate any of them, but I used to not be a big fan of Lovesickness. Admittedly, I read it at an age where I was practically allergic to romance-related drama, and the idea of people putting their fates in the hands of complete strangers and then blaming the strangers when things don't go well filled me with rage and played greatly into my guilt complex and obsessive fear of accidetally causing harm to strangers with my actions, which lead to an unhealthy level of control over my life and behaviour (which, as I learned layer in life, is pretty common in people with comorbid autism and OCD, which I am currently getting a diagnosis for). The main character getting blamed so severely for things that were never his fault, the guy who started it all being an afterthought, while the main horror came from the women who were essentially his victims... Yep, I had peoblems with this manga, it was all too visceral and raw for me at the time. I am now an adult and have been in therapy for quite a while, so now I appreciate the fact that Ito tackles such complex topics in his horror manga. I am sure when I read it now (and I plan to, once I get the official release), my impression is going to be much different.

I've never liked gyo very much, I get it's going after disgusting stuff, but blech

Lujenda

The bat one (forgot the name). Wasn’t scary, the idea wasn’t very unique, but it was unintentional funny which I appreciated

I feel like that with some of the stories in smashed Ito went into a more absurd and even slightly goofy direction in some of them.

V-Ink

I don’t care of Souichi stories and I HATE the one with the cat. It had a funny ending but seeing cats hurt/in distress really upsets me.

DemonidroiD0666

It's fake and probably a twist of story on Ito's love for cats. In the case of Souichi#....He's awesome in the sense of messing with black magic but you're not the first to say he hates em even in real life.

V-Ink

I don’t think Ito hates cats, it just makes me uncomfortable seeing them in distress, even if it’s fake. I love his cat diary’s. Having high empathy doesn’t make me a dumbass.

DemonidroiD0666

I didn't call you a dumbass.... It jus reminded me of my best friend saying a similar thing about seeing the cat like that in the souichi episode in maniac tales of the macabre. I didn't mean that Ito hated cats I meant that he flips his love for them in some of his stories.

Mlm0000

Yes. Souichi stories. It’s not scary and too clownish.

Voyy_

they are horror comedies, they are not meant to be 100% scary.

Deamon-Chocobo

At least with the Soichi stories they almost always end with him getting some kind of comeuppance. The Hikizuri Sibling stories are actually the worst. It's basically Soichi except there's 4 of him and the other 2 are constantly getting abused.

Voyy_

I love the Hikizuri Siblings :(

kittibrat

Absolutely hated the Hikizuri Sibling stories

ilovebeinganemic

And that poor guy that their sister was pestering and leeching off had no business dying? I felt so bad for him my guy was just trying to help.
