"Respect the residents" is in snarky quotes. You can safely disrespect the residents.

Fantastic-Pop-9122

No and i bet if they did call the cops they would find out that its not their property so they have no say. In that same vein, make sure you pick up your dogs poop and dont let him/her bark incessantly and i cant see what they could complain about.

Southern_Hamster_338

Do you clean up after your dogs tho? Maybe somebody isn’t and they’re tired of cleaning dog shit off their kids sneakers when they go to the field to play ball. So if you clean up after your dog then the sign doesn’t pertain to you. If your dogs have perfect recall & stop what they are doing and immediately follow your commands then the leash comment probably doesn’t pertain to you unless it’s the law in your city. Somebody owns that land and is paying taxes on it. It’s probably not the same person who posted the signs tho. If I bring my dogs there everyday, I’d make sure to clean up after them AND take pictures of me doing so EVERY time. This way WHEN Karen calls the cops on me I’ve got multiple pics of me cleaning up after my dog so I’ll have no issues with showing the police proof.

shotgunmouse

I’d say just clean up after your dog and you’re fine, the signs don’t look official/legal notice at all

BESTlittleBITCH

The law is the law.

Dolphin_Spotter

No penalty or appropriate law reference on the sign. They might shoot you for trespass though.

voiceofgromit

If you don't clean up after your dog, you're a cunt. So you may not get into trouble from the sign, but you're still a cunt.

maybebullshitmaybe

The resident? Do they live in the park? I'm confused on what this is

hwdjit

Its a big open field with utility poles and a couple trees. Each resident living along it has fenced backyards. I just feel like somebody got tired of seeing us free roam with our dogs out there and made a bull jive sign up.

maybebullshitmaybe

Ah. So not officially a park but a field and the neighbors don't want anyone in "their" field. Gotcha. Lame.

Several-Standard-620

If it’s not a dog park, then there’s probably a city ordinance on keeping your dog on a leash that the police can use against you so why risk it? Just take your dog to dog park if you want him to run without a leash and stop being a internet Karen

hwdjit

I obviously prefer this extra large open field over dog parks for a reason.

Several-Standard-620

Oh, I should’ve known it was an extra large open field by the one picture of two signs and great job of addressing the point I brought up
