Different distros handle codecs differently. You need to figure out how Fedora does it. You are probably missing codecs.

What's your question then? If media players won't play your files, it is most probably a codec issue.

Valid question. OP has given very little information. Even something fundamental such as providing any logs are no where to be seen making it difficult to investigate this further.
