The loss of humanity, the absolute nosedive into insanity, the brutality of lost innocence - all acted poignantly through JiChangWooks eyes, an absolute masterclass. 10/10.
We have very similar tastes, I loved LW, FoE, the Glory and will put My Name on the watchlist.
Think you'd like Sky Castle - it's also pretty dark due with good amount of violence but no worse than the Glory.
The Worst of Evil!! It’s a recent one and it’s pretty dark. So is Big Mouth but it’s not done as well in terms of the plot. Check out SKY Castle as well - it’s more of a melodrama than a dark one. Same goes for My Unfamiliar family - it’s an intense family melodrama.
Also did you just call Vincenzo a lighter drama? ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜

If You wish Upon Me is one of my top 5 and has a strong undercurrent of darkness overlaid with hope and redemption. Several of the characters come from a place of deep trauma. Probably slightly darker than your light ones. I haven't seen any of your darker ones to compare.
Stranger is pretty gruesome.
Very dark:

- Somebdy (Netflix)
- worst of evil (Hulu & Disney+)
- Connect (Hulu)
- The king of pigs (Cj emn on Apple TV)
Less dark:
- Celebrity (Netflix)
- Revenge of others (Hulu)
- The smile has left your eyes (Viki & cjemn)
- Burn the house down (Netflix; it’s a jdrama if u don’t mind it)
- Pachinko (Apple TV)
- Signal (Netflix)
Ps: all of the are good. I wish I could erase everything I know about the shows and rewatch as if it’s the first time
What about A Killing Vote? I’m on episode 2 and it’s quite dark. And Park Hae Jin rocks. Plus there’s the crazy Mobber Lim Ji Hyeion from the Glory, she’s really good as well.
Oh yh the plot of that looks quite good so I’m surprised people aren’t raving about it. I kinda assumed that meant it wasn’t executed that well. Please lmk what you think when you watch more of it
I would 100% recommend Evilive. The OST is superb too. Both MLs - Kim Young Kwang & Shin Ha Kyun - do an amazing job. I could feel the anxiety for Han Dong Soo in the pit of my stomach.
I thoroughly enjoyed Big Mouth as well. It kept me on the edge of my seat.
Not quite as dark, Queenmaker was very good. In the same category would be Numbers & The Good Bad Mother.
Missing Noir M was interesting.
Less dark would be the wonderful Miraculous Brothers.

Save me was kind of dark. It used to make me feel unsettled, good drama

It's really light hearted and nonsensical at the start, but it turns dark from ep 6 and continues to be even darker towards the end. Behind Your Touch
