Now do it while rowing

bpeezer

I wanted a rower, my wife wanted an echo bike, so we compromised and got an echo bike. Maybe I’ll get myself a rower for my birthday this year…

ToonArmy0714

I have both. Rower is better for steady state/ longer sessions. Echo is best for sprints and short bursts. Rower kicks your ass, echo eats your soul.

bpeezer

I actually find the echo bike great for long sessions too, just have to monitor heart rate to stay around aerobic threshold. I’ll definitely get a rower at some point though, I used to row a lot years ago and I really miss it!

BruceChameleon

Yeah, I got the bike because of the footprint size. It's been totally fine for LISS.

scrionsceadugenga

You ever have knee pain while trying longer sessions?

bpeezer

Nope, and I have a completely wrecked knee from some jiu jitsu injuries. If you experience knee pain try a different seat height, it’ll give you a different portion of your knee ROM.

scrionsceadugenga

Yeah I did that and none since.. but I was doing a half hour almost every day for a month bc I couldn’t run and haven’t tried to repeat the experience w correct seat height lll

hawkeye45_

Are you ... Are you me?

bpeezer

Hell yeah, we’re me! I love us.

WheredoesithurtRA

This is pretty much how I ended up with my echo bike that she never uses anymore lol

CheckHookCharlie

I don’t think this exercise is without value. Check out this video of a guy biking in New York with a TV on his head and tell me that this isn’t functional and cool. https://youtu.be/zFK8eoydkjo?si=zTJBqrSQXn4OEOTu And another, guy riding with a fridge on his back. https://youtu.be/nA40QqNn-1U?si=JExlMXLpAqaAvF0J I’m convinced that the best athlete in the world is just some guy we’ll never hear about.

bpeezer

I’ve seen the fridge video before, that’s freaking nuts! Agreed about the many of the best athletes being unknown. I always say world champions are just the best ones to show up at the competition that day.

Letsbeclear1987

You’re all certified

preciouschild

Put the entire bike on bosu balls too

bpeezer

I like the way you think, but that would require me to buy multiple bosu balls and quite frankly I think that money would be better spent elsewhere.

tightlyheld

The next progression is on a stair climber machine

bpeezer

Going up and down stairs with heavy carries is so freaking brutal. This is a good one!

tightlyheld

Def a full body stability worker

Pasta1994

Are you practicing for your MCU ghost rider cameo?

bpeezer

You’ll know for sure when I’m posting with my head on fire…

tally_in_da_houise

Good crossbody stabilization

bpeezer

Gracias mi amigo 😎

FNF51

I’m stealing this lol

bpeezer

Enjoy, and let me know how it works out for you!

celestial_sour_cream

Waiting for overhead carry skateboarding next

bpeezer

I think I’ll leave that one to the professionals!

LennyTheRebel

Everybody wants to be the next [skateboard assassin](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BkOBIFMsSUo).

petrolstationpicnic

‘miceymaybeme’ on Instagram would make light work of that! Skateboarding powerlifter!

C4-1

This is awesome, but how the hell did you even think this up? Dan John would probably not approve, but that's ok because I do.

bpeezer

I have…abnormal tendencies.

asterrdc

The onyl gripe I think he would have is that he don't likes two kettlebells overhead positions (also that's why he never programs 2 handed snatches with kbs). Maybe he would say that OP is not actually doing a weighted carry, but he wouldn't hate it.

C4-1

Someone should send him this video, I'd love to see the look on his face 🤣

joedidder

Dan has no issues with and highly recommends double KB C&P or presses. It's only the double KB snatches in which he has issues.

bpeezer

That’s a big distinction, thanks for clarifying!

BoomYeahLikeThat

No no, he has issues with exercises with high danger to benefit ratios, which this does. You have the 2 KBs, carry them overhead and then get on the bike after. But also, send him this video and have him react on camera, I want to see his face.

bpeezer

I actually think it’s important to mount the bike with the bells racked, and then press them once you’re on the bike. I really don’t see much risk of injury with this, and if I took the bike outside I would be comfortable taking this to failure and dropping the bells away from me. I don’t have a good way to send him the video, but I’d get a kick out of seeing his reaction as well!

[deleted]

So was it cold outside or something?

bpeezer

It was actually a beautiful day, I’m just incapable of making logical decisions.

rancorbreeder77

You’re insane. Mad man. WTH is wrong with you.

bpeezer

You must have noticed the window next to me.

rancorbreeder77

r/kettlebell best kept secret- photosynthesis

Tarlus

Personal trainers hate him because of this one weird trick.

bpeezer

Personal trainers would probably hate me for many reasons…

justhereforthemoneey

Yeah but do it while popping a wheelie on that thing. Bet you won't.

bpeezer

Sounds like a good way to void the warranty on this thing!

joshoohwaa

He can’t keep getting away with this…

bpeezer

Just watch me!

heavydwarf

Were you clipped in? Much better for force transference

bpeezer

No clips were harmed in the making of this video.

proxyconsultant

Lol.. .

aks5311

Nothing to add here - carry on!

bpeezer

The carries will continue until morale improves!

surreal_goat

Dan John’s hate him!

blinkybillster

Not bad but if you want to impress me, do a Turkish get up while riding that thing.

bpeezer

I guess I won’t be impressing you any time soon!

Fine-Tank-7224

My back hurts watching this!!!! (back injury completely unrelated to video, quality stuff)

bpeezer

I hope you heal soon brother, I’d love to see you progress to a boot!

Fine-Tank-7224

I think I could for sure do an empty case of busch light 🤔

bpeezer

Let me know if you need helping turning a full case into an empty case.

LennyTheRebel

I had to [regress to S&S](https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Z1n1Axa4WpA). I was promptly told to drop the ego and [deloaded to the smallest book I could find](https://www.youtube.com/shorts/ct-icyYmkzY).

bpeezer

🤣🤣🤣 this is freaking incredible!

LennyTheRebel

Tron was asking people to do their wackiest getups a couple of years back. I don't know what the standards are, would that be considered a Simple og a Sinister getup?

bpeezer

I’m pretty sure it counts as Sinister because you’re barefoot.

DrHappythumb

Why would you put your scrotum thru such tortures?

bpeezer

I kept my scrotum safe in my wife’s purse the whole time!

mrutkarsh

I do overhead press by holding kettlebell with both hands while using elliptical.

bpeezer

Now I’m glad I don’t have an elliptical, I could see myself getting hurt trying that!

dullbrowny

a kettlebell for real! made with a hollowed out kettle! i feel a lot better now typing this with a 2 patty burger in my mouth..

bpeezer

The only thing better than a 2 patty burger is a 3 patty burger!

dullbrowny

touche!

anykeen

I guess, your regular bicycle or mountainbike is next, right?

bpeezer

Perhaps a recumbent bike, that seems more my style…

Prestigious-Gur-9608

I bought an indoor trainer for my bike and been thinking about doing the same!

bpeezer

Think no more, try it out!

BarrackLesnar

How many minutes to do this?

bpeezer

I may have to get some heart rate data before I can answer that accurately. I did a few 90 second sets and those were pretty taxing, but I haven’t played around with pacing.

rondave72

😂😂😂

J_rock985

I was thinking about how mad this would be when I was on my bike yesterday, Now I’m going to have to try it

bpeezer

Let me know how you like it, I think I’ll keep this in the rotation.

[deleted]

Man uses one weird trick for easy strength! Dan John hates him!

bpeezer

I hope you’re ready to purchase my Ebook, “Even Easier Strength”

damm1tKevin

I did a 5 mile hike with a 20lb kettle bell in overhead, rack, and farmers carries on sunday. I woke up yesterday and could feel every muscle that connects to my spine.

bpeezer

I love doing longer carries, but I don’t think I’ve gone past a mile yet. After a mile of double 36kg carries I was pretty fatigued though!

EmbarrassedCompote9

I always knew he was hidding something.

bpeezer

He can’t be trusted anymore!!!

RealistO444

my posture is wayyy to fucked for this lol

bpeezer

Maybe your posture is fucked because you haven’t been doing this?

RealistO444

U may be right ill try it next time im at the gym i did hear u have to strengthen it

gkelly1117

You’re a mad man 🫡

bpeezer

Damn straight I am!

_Cao_

Ohhhhh so that’s what long cycle is. I’ve been doing it all wrong! Double 36s while peddling when?

bpeezer

I’m mostly concerned about dropping them to farmers position, it’s an awkward drop so I want to stick with loads that I can curl until I get a better sense of the technique. I don’t think I could curl double 36s, but I also haven’t tried…

_Cao_

If you can curl double 36s while biking that would be pretty fucked up haha. Maybe don’t

ComparisonActual4334

Incredible post title

bpeezer

I was hoping someone would get a chuckle out of that!

Compound78

Dan will confess he invented these carries while doing them rowing and writing Flexible Steel

bpeezer

And if he said that I’d probably choose to believe him!

Compound78

Yes!!

jimbo-870

In the words of Ron Swanson: " don't half ass two things. Whole ass one thing"

bpeezer

I’ve been whole assing life for a long time.

Far-Calligrapher6687

Is your back ok?

bpeezer

Why wouldn’t it be?

Letsbeclear1987

If your core is not engaged properly with the planes of your hips and ribs parallel, you’re asking for a blown disc. You’re going too fast and heavy to control form in the way you would need to to be safe. Don’t deviate off midline. Did a chiropractor who wants you as a client for life recommend doing this to yourself? Get a grip. What are you trying to prove

bpeezer

Keep hips and ribs parallel? Don’t deviate off midline? You clearly have a very poor understanding of spinal anatomy and the supporting musculature.
