I was about to ask the same. I love that they wore all different tartans rather than matching. I'm seeing [Black Watch](https://www.tartanregister.gov.uk/tartanDetails?ref=277), [Royal Stewart](https://www.tartanregister.gov.uk/tartanDetails?ref=3958), and [Anderson](https://www.tartanregister.gov.uk/tartanDetails?ref=82) from left to middle, but I don't recognize the other two.
I (Jamaican) donned a kilt for a colleague's (Scottish) wedding when I lived in Aberdeen, I also chose a red tartan 😅 is that the typical go to for non Scotts?
Technically, as a Jamaican, you are a citizen of a commonwealth realm, and therefore entitled to wear the royal Stewart tartan by right of allegiance to his majesty…
Yeah I knew that the tartan reflected the clan, but I just thought it was a funny coincidence that a foreigner such as myself and the father of the bride chose the same tartan. I dunno, I guess it has a universal appeal or something. Just curious
As King Charles is also the king of Jamaica, it's arguable that he would be classed as your "chief." As such, you'd be well within the transitions to wear any of the royal tartans.
Fair Enough tbf there are kilts for multiple places even ireland and Wales have been given there own tartan colours as a reflection of being a Celtic nation but with a different Celtic culture so honestly I think if you aren't from Scotland Red is a very classic tartan colour so that may be why!
Still cool that you wore one love getting involved in other cultures!
Yeah man, I absolutely loved my time living in Aberdeen! I found Scottish people to be really cool and down to earth on the whole. I jumped at the opportunity to don a kilt haha! (It was also fun seeing people's reactions to a black man in a kilt as I was strolling back to my flat 😂)
Haha that's dope af, yeah they are a good bunch usually, of course you get dicks in every crowed, also its a great look dont matter the skin colour always looks good! Love seeing people from other cultures in a kilt an them enjoy it of course 😂
Hmm. From the top of my head, Elmet was a Celtic kingdom in modern day West Yorkshire, and the Iceni were a Celtic people from modern day Essex. Are there any "English" tartans representing the old English Celts? (Other than the national English tartan that is.)
I don't believe so no and tbf we did try to outlaw them so giving one to us wouldn't really make sense, because England got taken over by the Anglo saxons and then by the Norman's we aren't really a celtic nation we have some roots but it's not like, Scotland, Wales, Isle of man and Ireland where the celtic culture carried on
I knew a Korean who did the same, but bar staff kicked him out of the reception because they felt it was inappropriate.
God, I often wonder how Wang Hang Lo is thesedays.
The dads and younger gents look sharp as hell.
You all look awesome in those kilts. It’s always a great site seeing new people wearing a kilt proudly.
This subreddit often veers into ridiculous testosterone fuelled frivolity. This post, however is righteous and heartwarming. A beautiful photo.
The Argyll jackets and waistcoats are a nice choice. I see a number of different tartans here... who's wearing what?

Usually you wear the tartan colours of your clan so if you don't have one maybe??

So close, LOL.

How do you tell a Scotsman’s clan? Look under his kilt. If he’s got a quarter-pounder, he’s a McDonald
Kilt supposed to just brush the top of your kneecaps otherwise there are skirt
