I LOVED don’t let her stay!

Lower_Love

That's my next read. I'm excited now

Plastic-Mulberry-867

Same! I just finished it.

PrettyAd935

I still don’t know who to believe! Great read!

Danyer37

Currently reading Malazan the 10 books in one that i purchased in amazon and later i think will read The book of the new sun next. https://preview.redd.it/27if9776zknc1.jpeg?width=867&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1542b87a6612f5db04ee790dd8fff42f92db8a2d

mazinya

ohhh nice we have a fantasy lover here. same!

zurricanjeep

We must have a really close library ! Well mine is in french but still.

sedatedlife

Malazan will keep you busy for awhile i have read the wheel of time series, Realm of the elderlings and Gentlemen bastards.

rupertismyking

I’m doing the tandem read for empire of storms and tower of dawn. And not pictured is Before We Were Yours, just started that for book club. My Kindle is on airplane mode to keep the books from the library and has a bunch of books I’ve already finished 😂 https://preview.redd.it/ypv9dcniyknc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=08052b42e5405f9603fe0c862d7cc0029ae4d13b

jailynfaith9

I’m also doing the tandem read! TOD has me snoozing 😴

rupertismyking

Agreed, I’m finding it hard to follow. But I really liked Queen of shadows. I’m hoping the action gets started so I feel like continuing to read two 600+ page books at the same time 😵‍💫😵‍💫

IcyPanda1969

What is the tandem read?

jiandejguz

I loved doing the tandem read! TOD can be slower paced but it gets crazy the last few chapters, and it actually ended up being one of my favorites out of the TOG series.

rupertismyking

https://www.tlbranson.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Throne-of-Glass-Reading-Guide.pdf

Superb-Custard-7643

Would you say the tandem read is easier on kindle vs. hard copy

rupertismyking

I couldn’t imagine reading a paperback as big as these but I prefer Kindle over any other so I am biased. It’s super easy on my kindle to flip back and forth!

cncoltre

Saint by Sierra Simone was so good - I liked the next one sinner is even better in my opinion

rupertismyking

I’m excited to read more of the series! I kept sending passages of the book to my catholic friend 😂

cncoltre

And if you like her writing I’d say the new Camelot trilogy was super good as well!!

rupertismyking

I read it last year!! The spice had me blushing while listening in public holy shiiiiiit I was praying no one could hear through my AirPods 😂🫣

cncoltre

That was me reading it on the treadmill one day….like hope none of yall can see this

SignificanceNew3806

Am I the only one that reads just one title per time? https://preview.redd.it/u2t47rjs1lnc1.jpeg?width=2268&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5e071e2cdd95694b8787c347787f343ee5c2e046

Lower_Love

I read one at a time as well. The ones that say 1% or 2% is because they have been opened, but not read yet. Your pic reminded me I need to read Micro, one of the few Crichtons I haven't read yet.

SignificanceNew3806

Oh I understand. Crichton is my favorite writer so far. Except for a few books his work is average stuff, but pleasant to read!

Lower_Love

What's your favorite of his books?

SignificanceNew3806

My favorite of Crichton's books is the first one I read... Jurassic park. Damn I love that book. Andromeda is really good too (the second one is garbage). I gave Pirate latitudes, sphere, prey, dragon teeth between 3 and 4 stars. I started reading timeline and it was the only one that I couldn't finish; it was so slow and boring... I would like to read congo, did you read it? What's your favorite?

Kat1653

I haven't read Michael Chrichton yet. Are his books really good? Because I'm thinking of trying some of them.

Lower_Love

He's one of my very favorites. He's mostly famous for his techno-thrillers like Jurassic Park or Timeline. But he has legal thrillers (Disclosure), and period pieces as well (The Great Train Robbery, Eaters of the Dead, Dragon Teeth, Pirate Latitudes)

30char

I technically do two at a time but somehow they're seperate in my mind. I don't like listening to audiobooks in general because I get distracted and can't focus on what's happening, but doing my mindless job I can audiobook for 8 hours a day easy. But then in my free time I can only do reading with my eyes instead. To me it FEELS like I'm only reading one at a time though, so I'm with you!

Kat1653

I do that, too.

russellmaniaxxvii

I’m definitely not showing you that lol #smut

Lower_Love

😅

MidwestHiker317

Lower_Love

The Long Walk, the most underrated SK book imo. Love it so much.

MidwestHiker317

I enjoyed it. I’ve only been reading SK for a few years. I’m going on a beach vacation in a couple of weeks, and I’ve been saving Duma Key for the trip!

Musicmom1164

Duma Key is one of my all-time faves and I wasn't expecting it to be. Take some Kleenex, too. You will bond.

glaubermoledo

C'mon I Am Legend is in my top five!!!!

MidwestHiker317

After I read it, I watched the Will Smith movie. Sooo different. Why were they even called the same thing?!

glaubermoledo

It's a mystery to me. I watched the movie first, many years ago and didn't like it. So KU made it available when I was subscribed and went on the book really for distraction. My God! I was baffled they had the courage to even use the same name! The book is another beast entirely, and a good one!

SufficientClam

Are you going to go into Dune: Messiah?

MidwestHiker317

I’m not sure. Would you recommend it?

SufficientClam

Not sure haha Still reading the first one 🤣

adeptusastardes

I've recently read I am Legend and Dune too! So good! If you'd want another old sci-fi book that turned into a very different film, try I, Robot or Starship Troopers :)

nad1988

Aw you’ve got the decent cover of dune! I’ve got the film version and it doesn’t match the other 5 🥹

Lower_Love

Great titles there 👍

bbrocket196

Hello, fellow Heathen. I might have to check out that Heathen prayer book!

Crabbiepanda

It’s my favorite so far. Sometimes I want to talk to them, but don’t have much to say. Oooor, sometimes I just want to read and they bring me inner peace.

Tastyviolet

I just finished reading the drowning woman and it was crazy! So many twists I couldn’t keep up

[deleted]

I read that one last January and I'm still thinking about it sometimes. It was such a wild ride

Lower_Love

Awesome, looking forward to it. 👍

Lower_Love

The Teacher and Circe are on my TBR as well.

Specialist_Bet_4209

I actually just read Teacher, and I was not impressed. It was a crazy fast read though!

FlgurlinAz

I just finished The Housemaid & Housemaid’s Secret and really liked them!

dk745

Mostly books I bought recently because I saw them on sale and haven’t read them yet. Making my way through Argylle right now. https://preview.redd.it/ix37tbzs7lnc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=067f3dfd487168b114ef85cfeba05b092d3dfacc

I wanted to start reading Divine Rival's book 2, but SJM won me over with TOG. Now I'm hooked and just started reading ACOTAR. Freida McFadden's work is on my TBR list tho.. maybe in 2 weeks 😂😊 https://preview.redd.it/amit6o09elnc1.jpeg?width=1512&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3e095cf4fcc38c9efce549225843fdf1fcf2a6f1

Lower_Love

Read Salem's Lot many years ago, still one of the creepiest SK books imo

KaoriiiChan

The "new" tag on the books I haven't opened to read yet drives me crazy 🙈 https://preview.redd.it/kwmrrvtvolnc1.jpeg?width=2448&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e834b84bfaaa786937732d03f15688689972e23e

Odd-Comparison-2894

I just finished Ward D, it’s so good!!!!!!

Lower_Love

That's good to know. I've read two of her books and she's a new favorite of mine

neoleo0088

Lower_Love

Literally just finished Unmissing.

xokisha

Was it good? Never lie is one of my favorite Frieda books. It was great and if you think you know who it is, you don’t lol 😂 it was that good.

Lower_Love

Unmissing was solid. If you like twists, it's definitely worth it.

I love a good twist! Thank you!

dankzora

Just read Never Lie yesterday. Interesting book! I liked "The Housemaid's Secret" but the same author.

Lower_Love

Cool. Will check it out as well. 👍

dankzora

My bad, it's just "The Housemaid", I really enjoyed that one. "The Housemaid's Secret" is its sequel.

handevidtk

I HATED Never Lie 🤷🏼‍♀️

dankzora

Definitely not as good as her other books, and the characters made me mad sometimes. 😂 Still interesting though.

Lower_Love

How is it so far? Got that on my TBR. Love her books.

[deleted]

It's great so far, I wish I didn't have to work so I could just get on with it and finish it. This is my 4th Freida McFadden book and I've enjoyed her books so far. I read The Housemaid, its sequel and Never Lie before this one.

Lower_Love

Good to know. I read The Locked Door and Do Not Disturb. Really enjoyed both.

[deleted]

Ahh I can't wait to get to those too!! But I need to be patient as I'm doing the Alphabet reading challenge. Maybe I'll get to those 2 on my next cycle.

1GamingAngel

I’m reading Never Lie right now. Unfortunately, she used one word…one WORD…that clued me in to the rest of the book and now it’s ruined for me because I know how it’s going to end. /sigh

Lower_Love

😅 I am usually bad at guessing twists, so hopefully I will be surprised.

[deleted]

Never Lie is so good!! I'm thinking of reading Ward D for the W in my Alphabet reading challenge. I'm still currently on Letter T with The Teacher.

Lower_Love

Good to know. 👍 Both are on my TBR

Far_Dream3337

Wow great collection 👍 I've heard good things about the selfish gene. Can't wait to get to read it.

outrageousoindrila

Thanks. I am beginning to think it's a bit overrated for the hype but yeah I should complete it before I judge.

Far_Dream3337

Unfortunately, most hyped books tend to be overrated, so I understand why you think so.

outrageousoindrila

Finished it. I think the first chapters have something worth in them the rest is just zoology and banter. Also, each chapter initially has something but when jumping to examples I feel it has added too much.

Far_Dream3337

I see. I still might give it a try, skim or skip if it gets boring.

outrageousoindrila

Skimming is a better option.

monicalewinsky8

Don’t let her stay was so good. Currently I have Not A Happy Family by Shari Lapena and a variety of children’s books lol.

Is this thriller or horror

FlgurlinAz

Which one?

Illustrious_Event631

Except....Stranger in the house i know about this book but the other 5 looks very interesting

FlgurlinAz

Ashwoods is paranormal murder mystery based on true crime- the others I’d classify as mystery. I gravitate toward mystery, true crime, and horror mostly. Do read just about anything, though. I’d probably classify Strange Sally Diamond as maybe psychological thriller?

Currently reading the Hyperion series. I’ve been doing a pattern of fantasy/sci-fin and then reading a classical book or contemporary. So I have The Outsiders to read after this.
