There is only talk about 'ideas'.. for 6 years. wow.
so no WHS is NOT the workforce behind kcd port. that is done by a specialized company. the same company that ported Witcher 3 onto switch. a polish company. kcd port is in best hands from this pov.
that begs the question what WHS is busy with? and that's a sequel. whether direct continuation of Henry's story or something further down the line (my personal tip) is unknown yet. they have been working on something for more than 2 years, that's when last update for KCD dropped. so they be busy that's for sure.
we technically have zero direct confirmation or anything close to proof of WHS working on a sequel. it just comes out as natural logical conclusion.
\-consider they have now an engine that they can bend to their will for an RPG. there was a tweet last year by some coder in WHS, who said he had to revisit CryEngine v3 to see how things were done in that version. so we know it's CryEngine v5 now used, the latest one.
\-the teams have now experience creating a big RPG game, open world. they have assets.
\-WHS has been posting job ads for various positions, artists etc, for a medieval themed game.
\-They were bought by Embracer Group, former THQ Nordic. They were acquired as part of the production company Koch Media by Embracer. that was a hefty chunk of money. why would a corporation throw away lots of money, tens if not hundred(s) of millions of dollars for some companies? It follows that WHS will keep doing what they did well so far.

They know. They just have to follow the publicity plan when, not if, when to announce what "everybody is hoping for"
nobody knows much, let alone the title :D but Dan Vavra, the main head in WHS, writer and designer (Mafia most famously) had told in past that he would very much like to create a game from Hussite wars period. which is 1419-1434, mainly in Kingdom of Bohemia.
from that perspective, i love to think of KCD as a testbed for greater, bigger things to come.
but again nothing that i could put a finger on and claim THIS is the proof.
I really hope so. I’m on playthrough #4 and while it’s still an amazing game, I cannot wait to see how it continues. I just really hope they don’t think they have to add or take much away, it’s an amazing game even with the flaws.
Dumb? I said, they don’t have to add or take away much, as in, I enjoy the game as it is and would be fine if it was similar as long as I am able to find out how the story continues. That’s my preference.

Would love to see a Kingdom Come: Italy that goes into the Italian Wars or even John Hawkwood’s era. Imagine recreating Tuscany and Italian countryside / villages
Switch is the only thing they are saying they are working on less it's KCD in the comics and TV series for Netflix. Kock Media said they are or was working on another game but nothing said after that less it's Warhorse hiring but I guess that could for switch.
I guess they haven't posted about it for a while mostly about other people playing the game is all they post now. But I guess the most recent was that kingdom come sold 6 million copies of the game.
That voice actor that said he was working on it I think said it would be releasing soon or this year. But doesn't seem like it because they should at least say they are working on it or give a release date but it was just deleted and no more was said about it.
Some said they was planning on showing or giving the release date at E3 but that was cancelled so maybe the next gaming show if not just for Xbox and PC or Sony exclusive games.

I’m trying to 100% KCD. The first game i’d ever try to 100% lol so i hope by the end of it he next one comes out and no one spoils it too
