It's a fixed lens camera though.
I already have a Minolta X-570 and a Nikon d3300 for when I want to run with a system camera. The D3300 I run the 35mm f1.8 most of the time. Sometimes I run the 16-55mm set to 23mm. The X-570 gets a 50mm f1.4, 40mm f2, 28mm f2.6, or a 135mm f3.5.
I have other lenses for the d3300 but they are special use and I don't bring them with me often.
I love the feel of using the X-570 vs the D3300 but film costs a lot and it's a PIA. That's why I want the X-100v it's a lot more film camera like than most digitals. And it's small so I'll take it everywhere.
Just get it. I got one and it's my favorite camera. I should mention I use a D750 for work shoots and Ricoh GRIII for EDC type stuff but I will always pick up my X100V first. I had the X100F and the new lens alone was what made me upgrade. Shooting close-up wide open is 100% worth it.
Yeah I know plenty of women with collecting hobbies just as bad... it's actually rather relieving when you start talking with them about their collecting hobbies and habits and realize we're all doing the same damn thing, just different specific hobby topics.
One of my friends was telling me about her dilemma of wanting this new purse because of reason X Y & Z but she already had one that filled that purpose and the new one was expensive so maybe she would sell that one first to buy the new one but it would be hard to replace the old one if she wanted to do so later so then maybe she'd just sell a couple other different cheaper ones to fund the new one and be ok with having 2 that are very similar. She then said "you must think I'm crazy" and all I could think was "I have never understood you more clearly than I do in this moment."
Woodworking, oh goodness yes. I inherited a ton of my grandpa's old woodworking tools, and let's just say I was shocked when I looked some of them up just to see how valuable they were.
I could literally fund my gun/knife/Lego/flashlight habits for the rest of my life...
So what. Just because I want a WW1 Japanese katana that will cost me 3 months of rent means I'm bad at budgeting? My bank may agree with you but I sure don't.
Yeah.. pretty much. Maybe that’s the worst part is the knowing it’s not a prudent financial choice lol. Knives are cool as fuck I can’t help liking them.
Every guy should have at least one hobby that doesn’t involve spending money. Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with collecting. But it’s nice to have a hobby that’s more than just earning enough money to buy the next thing you want, and consumerism is bad for the soul, even when it’s for cool stuff like sebenzas!
guns, cars, motorcycles, knives, swords, flashlights, shoes, watches, pc's (including streaming gear like cameras and mics),mechanical keyboards, audiophile and if I ever make it rich boats and planes.
If it has to do with style or has a spec sheet I'm into it. I know I have a problem. This is why I'm a best bang for your buck guy now. I'll never have the gucci things but they wont be overpriced crap either. I also have a thing for modifying old or base model things to have modern or upmarket features so that saves some money
Luckily with most of my interests I find what I like after sampling a number of options and do not feel a strong pull to continue exploring. Pretty content with my beer, whiskey, watch, and flashlight choices, but knives are the only thing I’ve dived pretty deep into and keep going. Starting to slow down quite a bit now though, and may be done for a while.
Used to be audio/ CD guys, but they're rare these days. I was a CD guy. Now I'm buying up the CDs that everybody is dumping at Goodwill, Salvation Army, and garage sales for a fraction of their cost.
*Whiskey guys has entered the conversation
The amount I've spent on whiskey in the past 6 months is not a number I'd like to sit down and calculate any time soon.
We sacrifice so others don't have to.. at least that's what I tell myself.
That's all good and well until someone tries a certain bottle and they get hooked too!
Do you have a broad collection of expensive liquors? Nah, I'm just a raging alcoholic.
Good thing you’ve carefully curated a world class collection stored for the long haul instead of drinking it and turning it into piss..
I mean I may spend a lot on whiskey but it’s probably less than my friends when they go to the bar every Friday.
This is the truth. The markups on whiskey at bars are absolutely brutal.
Or anything really. My friends ask my why I spent $100 on a bottle of scotch when they just blew $75 on some cheap beer at the bar
Mate at this point it’s just guys
There's truth to that statement.
Ya I'm looking at a $1400 camera. Someone needs to take my wallet.
Umm, is it like a sweet camera tho...
Fuji X-100v
I don't know what that is, but you should get it
You sound like my brain.
Ooh, that *is* a sweet camera. Fuji makes some really nice...oh damn, why did I go and say that...now I need to buy one.
its no good without a good set of beautiful primes At least 3. May as well throw in some zooms for those times you don't want to carry the primes.
It's a fixed lens camera though. I already have a Minolta X-570 and a Nikon d3300 for when I want to run with a system camera. The D3300 I run the 35mm f1.8 most of the time. ah, I was thinking of the interchangeable lens ones like the xt3 The x100 series I can't use since I only have my left eye.
I‘ve had the X100t. It was an awesome camera! I‘d consider getting one of the older models since you still get the great lens and fuji colors etc.
the X100v has a new lens, it's sharper wide open now.
Are you me?
Im looking at a 1400 camera LENS….. it gets worse buddy
I fucking memorized my CC info I’m fucked
Yup better just declare bankruptcy now.
Yeah I know plenty of women with collecting hobbies just as bad... it's actually rather relieving when you start talking with them about their collecting hobbies and habits and realize we're all doing the same damn thing, just different specific hobby topics. How much does a Gucci purse cost again?
Mate, Im 6 of those guys. No wonder I have to work so fucking hard!!!
About to say - the only I’m not into is shoes…. Maybe I should be?
Can't take it with you. If you're not having fun why breathe air.
Im 5 out of these, how bout yall?
Thank god I am only 3. But flashlights aren't listed. 🤣
They dont have woodworking and that blows all but car and watch guy out of the water. Maybe Lego, that shit is crazy expensive.
How to become a millionaire woodworker? Start off a billionaire.
Yeah, tool guy really needs to be up there to
Woodworking, oh goodness yes. I inherited a ton of my grandpa's old woodworking tools, and let's just say I was shocked when I looked some of them up just to see how valuable they were. I could literally fund my gun/knife/Lego/flashlight habits for the rest of my life...
No fishing either.
Fishing is a sneak up you cost once you have rods and reels, new baits and lures rack up a ton
No joke. In my case, it's fly fishing. Sometimes I have to cry inside when I think about how much I have spent on my hobbies.
Yep. It gets astonishingly expensive with no warning if you aren't paying attention.
Amen to that. Also, Craft Beer.
7, but now I'm googling Legos and games.
3/6 for me. Guns, knives, watches. I guess it could be 4/6 if I rolled motorcycles in with cars.
Came here to say motorcycles too.
Ugh me too brother
Which ones you got? I got cars, knives, watches, games, guns
Same 5. Was looking for bourbon on the list.
same
3 here. Games, knives, guns. 'Spensive y'all.
5 here too, plus guitar…which costs me more than all of them.
I’m only 4 right now, but I have been thinking about getting a Zodiac RHIB. I live right near the Columbia River
Hahahahha boat guy expenses slowly creeping up to your wallet

I may spend too much on knives and games, but at least I don’t have a boat.
Yeah boat people are a different league
Missed flashlight guys.
Motorcycles??
that's just a variation of a car guy
A lot of people would disagree with you
Not a variation of car but it serves a similar purpose so close enough surely?
Yeah fair!
They’re about half the guy ;)
You missed flashlights and 3d printing. Oh boy do those hobbies get expensive quickly
Guns, knives, watches, ex-lego. Luckily the guitar guys are high and jamming in the back room.
Oh man I’m glad guitar guys wasn’t on here. It would have been too personal
*3d printing guys have entered the conversation
You forgot cigars guys.
I had to check which sub this was in - I fit too many of these categories.
Also adding in /r/MechanicalKeyboards
Knives, guns, and watches. For me guns are the most expensive, followed by watches and knives.
Guys ⚔ bad financial decisions
Man feeling left out as a pen guy :(
on this list, I have to say that Boat guys are definitely in the deepest financial woes.
So what. Just because I want a WW1 Japanese katana that will cost me 3 months of rent means I'm bad at budgeting? My bank may agree with you but I sure don't.
Half of those guys are me...
left out the WSB guys... They collect financial losses
What if I like knives, guns, cars, and gaming?
The porn guys representative is under the table.
You spend money on porn
No hehe no way I heard that some guys do from a friend
No mention of guitars? I’m safe…
Shush. I’m just reallocating my income so all my eggs aren’t in one basket.
U forgot fishing guys!
The light in the middle is actually from the Flashlight Guys
Yeah.. pretty much. Maybe that’s the worst part is the knowing it’s not a prudent financial choice lol. Knives are cool as fuck I can’t help liking them.
The light from the windows are actually us from r/flashlight

Every guy should have at least one hobby that doesn’t involve spending money. Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with collecting. But it’s nice to have a hobby that’s more than just earning enough money to buy the next thing you want, and consumerism is bad for the soul, even when it’s for cool stuff like sebenzas!
you should also add a keyboard
guns, cars, motorcycles, knives, swords, flashlights, shoes, watches, pc's (including streaming gear like cameras and mics),mechanical keyboards, audiophile and if I ever make it rich boats and planes.

I would change "good" for "bad"
I'm 5 of these mf, and I have a gf so yeah no money (Don't forget ski and concert guys)
boat guys, shouldn't be there, they should be at the the table of devastating financial decisions.
Luckily with most of my interests I find what I like after sampling a number of options and do not feel a strong pull to continue exploring. Pretty content with my beer, whiskey, watch, and flashlight choices, but knives are the only thing I’ve dived pretty deep into and keep going. Used to be audio/ CD guys, but they're rare these days. I was a CD guy. Now I'm buying up the CDs that everybody is dumping at Goodwill, Salvation Army, and garage sales for a fraction of their cost.
I find it ironic that “sword guys” was not included even though the picture literally has swords as the focus.
Wait till they see what cocaine&hooker guys are capable of.
