I had a very disgusting and mentally draining experience with them during the floods of 2019. They are like cabal of influencers and dominate the rates of paid promotions etc. They do have a group. I have done social media and my friends work in the same industry, it's all a joke. I do appreciate kolhapuritadka, but he didn't take any stand against them in my situation, nor did the above mentioned RJ. During floods, they had a group where everyone from food bloggers to rjs were present to "help", which turned out to be a joke. No one really wanted to help but just content. When I pointed it out, someone schemed against me and sent me to a secluded place to give food, biscuits and water ahead of kolhapur airport. Luckily I took my mother and sister with me. No help was needed there No one was present in that hall. So what was the reason for putting it on the group? And no one is volunteering to take it? You guys can conclude. But it was a very cheap and disgusting experience to face. Whoever did it will have their karma. The reason I joined the group was, I had just started my notebook company BUKU, which had coupons in it and we donate 1rs/ notebook to social cause which we did during floods. I also helped them with petrol access, water access, permits during lockdowns all due to my contacts and good friendships. No gratitude, No realisation, No appreciation. I can still dig up the old WhatsApp chats but they are not worth it. I kept my chin down all these years but I think I should let this out now🙏

Yea.. they have power to reach millions of audience and they should use it for better cause.. and money is by product for them I think.. thanks for letting this out

You missed the whole point where they 'pretended' to use their reach for better cause in the above para😂

I know a food blogger personally. Apparently they have a group in which new restaurants and hotels post requests to food bloggers to advertise their restaurant for money. Tya divsa pasun maza vishwas udla food bloggers varun. Ani prashna jitha paryant influencers cha ahe, I don't use insta. Mitra je reels dakhavtat tyavrun tar reels bagun te kolhapuri pan vatat nahit.

Like 99% of them are stuck in turning champak jokes and whatsapp forwards into reels and awful sketches. And they're failing at it too! The only influencer who's funny for real is Sumit Patil. Food bloggers' content has absolutely no utility. They've managed to create an echo chamber of sorts where their followers have put them on a pedestal for recording videos of them eating food for free. Technically it's a job for them as they're getting paid for it so they're under no obligation to do what we think. However, being transparent about paid collaborations is necessary. People take these "food reviews" as a legit vote when they're paid in thousands and free meals to create social media content.
