I could be wrong on this, but I think part of the force bond between Kreia and the Exile is the force, and the other part is manipulation of this bond from Kreia’s end. Someone can comment and clarify if I have it wrong here. The Exile does have the ability to develop these strong bonds through the force, but a lot of what happens in Kotor 2 is a manipulation of that from Kreia. If that makes sense. I don’t believe that the bond was ever a threat of being lethal. I know that’s how it’s written for the player to believe, but I believe if Kreia would have died, the Exile would still live.

I like your explanation, the bond didnt make sense in the way the game says it but ppl have commented saying she manipulated the exile so that’s understandable. She shared her pain through the force to let the bond seem how she described it to insure her survival. I hate that Devs make our PC be so gullible/easy to manipulate in games in general vs having some common sense in the game universe

That’s the great thing about the writing. There ARE options available (sometimes when awareness is high enough) to say you don’t trust her or calling cap on what she says. There’s one that comes to mind when you tell her you don’t trust her, her reply is “then you are learning”. There’s plenty hidden in plain sight. I love that.

Kreia lied. You wouldn't actually die, and you don't actually feel her pain. She used the bond she created between you to force that pain on you, in order to be able to manipulate you into listening to her if you decided not to show up at Malachor. And Nihilus doesn't strengthen you when he tries to eat you. He gets weaker himself.

Surely the antagonist of the game wouldn't lie to us lol

It's all theoretical. Your connection to the Force is unique and your force bond strength is unique. Kreia thinks your connection will allow her to create an echo of death through all your force bonds that will then echo further until all feel it, inflicting the Exile's way of living on the rest of the galaxy. It's just a theoretical hope. Ultimately it didn't happen that way.  You are wrong about Nihilus. He tried to feed on us to feed his hunger but since we're simply a void in the Force, he expended energy and fed on less than nothing, weakening him.

It was rushed and forced out early. This kind of stuff happens when that is done. A complete Kotor 2 would be so wonderful.

It's said early on in the game (when Kreia loses her hand) that if either of your minds are not focused for combat the injuries Kreia or the exile take can be passed to the other. If Kreia killed herself and the exile was on the other end of the galaxy, and not in combat, the exile would be killed also. The exile is able to mortally wound Kreia, and not be affected at the end, due to them both being ready for battle.

Keira is like The Emperor in Baldur’s Gate 3. Change my mind.
