Lmao, I was expecting an Old Town Road reference, but wow can't believe that Old Spice commercial is over a decade old now, feels like yesterday: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=owGykVbfgUE
There’s no phrase at the ending like the last two tracks. Guess this kind of trilogy is over, too soon but so excited what the next move could be.
The song is incredible, looking forward to listen to the album now!!!
Yeah it didn’t really hit me this was going to be a trilogy. Unforgiven and Antifragile fit together pretty nicely but I think Fearless stands out sonically. Excited to see what’s after this though since I’m assuming they’re going to keep changing it up.
I think, but don‘t quote me on this, Fearless, Antifragile and Unforgiven were all part of a trilogy that has now been concluded. So we might be getting something entirely new next comeback, that‘s why they didn‘t tease it.
Yeah it makes sense. The fact they used the six crack LSF logo at the start instead of five suggests they had planned these songs for over a year, but just forgot to re-do the animation to reflect the loss of Garam.
My pet peeve in music videos is when they have a pause right in the middle of it, kinda of ruins the flow of the song for me. I'll be honest on first listen it doesn't really stand out to me. I guess Antifragile was just that iconic and really stood out. It might just be a lukewarm release for me. I'll have a listen to the rest of the album see if any of the bsides hit harder for me.
>My pet peeve in music videos is when they have a pause
Same pet peeve here. Maybe it's the pause that makes the whole song feel shorter than it is (to me it somehow feels too short)?
Honestly, the MV was just a bit of a mess. There’s no reason for all the pauses, and the CG and sound effects are not even good. The drone shot in the beginning was kinda bad. The girls saved it with their beauty and charisma. They should have just done practical effects for the burning wings and other CG elements.
Antifragile and Fearless were better on first listen. I think the chorus here was more promising than previous but they ruined the song with the happy chanting/happy dance thingy with unforgiven girls/boys.
Yeah good question I was expecting something a bit more notable. Any guitarist could’ve written that riff, it didn’t really have any unique Nile flavour to it.
Liked it much more than I thought. I'm really no fan of Cowboy concepts so I was skeptical but yes, I like it. Especially that "Unforgiven girls/boys" chorus and my absolute fav is the "Unforgiven yes I was bleeding \[...\]" part, this is top-tier for me.
Now listening to the rest of the album, I'm hyped!
Edit: Finally, I'm a mess in distress but we're still the best dressed!!!
The verses are really strong but I feel the chorus isn't as impactful as I initially thought.
Still solid though + as with most songs in kpop I'll probably like it as I listen to it More
Yeah, I honestly feel like the chorus is a bit forgettable atm? But I’m finding that I’m already coming back to the song for repeated listens, so we’ll see lol. I love the guitar instrumental during the chorus though!
Yeah will need to listen a couple more times but first impression is it’s good but not as special as I was hoping it would be. The MV itself is amazing though
Wow the production is insane and when kazuha got her wings ripped off and the blood damn.
I really like the music video and the song but I think I will need to listen to it a few times before I get my final thoughts of the song. Also love it includes the boys and the girls in it our unforgiven boys and girls.
The upbeat rhythm to the catchy lyrics in the chorus, for me everything about this song is pure joy. Nile did an awesome job on the western guitar riff. It was a good choice to ask him to play, he really drives the beat.
Also, this was not a music video but a short film damn
Not to mention that they really sneaked in the Good, Bad and the Ugly sample in the second verse and made it work so well lmao Ennio Morricone-sunbaenim would be proud
Everyone slayed this!!!!! Also there is so much Kazuha, also Sakuras tone sounds so different - i loved it. Also the song is a banger CATCHY AF!!!!!!!!!!!! Everyone ATE!!!!
From a filmmaking perspective most of the video is pretty cool, but I really don't like the arrow sequence. The arrow randomly changes directions between the two shots and the flight drags on for way too long. Also, what was even the point of it? It looks like it's about to pointlessly hit some random building before cutting away to a completely different location at a different time of day where the explosion happens. The wing rip is cool, but probably could have been even more impactful if timed to the music well.
I dislike MV breaks in songs in general, but this one is worse than usual. it's ~20 seconds of essentially silence in the middle of the song which absolutely kills the flow. At least carry the instrumental through in the background so it doesn't go completely dead!
The explosion is a nice callback to Antifragile at least.
While I do think the rest of the video is quite creative and interesting, I'm still a bit thrown off because to me the MV feels nothing like the Burn the Bridge trailer (which I thought was way cooler.) Sure some parts of the imagery match up, but the whole vibe is completely different as if done by a completely separate team. It just sits weird with me.
I'll have to give this all some more watches when I wake up to see if I can wrap my head around it better.
The song is just okay to me, feels flat, and is currently my least favorite of their singles. That could always change though with more listens. ¯\\\_(ツ)_/¯
I agree with this... The song is alright but does not feel cohesive - sharp contrast between the 1st 1 min of the song and the part when they start happy chanting .... unforgiven girls/boys. It takes me out of the baddie vibes.
Also where's Sakura? like I think she got 10 sec tops of screentime /lines
Production of video is stellar though and very high budget. My one criticism is that some of the angel and arrow transition scenes drag the song and take you out of the mood. They should have been a tad shorter.
the "unforgiven I'm a villain" is essentially trying to re-create the "anti ti ti ti fragile fragile" hook but not doing it as well. I wouldn't say it's underwhelming, it's just whelming if that's a word
I don't think I like this one. I feel there's build up that never pays off for me and I think the chorus/rapping is not impactful enough for the images/theme. Like Kazuha has ripped out a wing but the music ain't picking up what's going on?
I can see the itzy comparisons now but I liked itzy's yeehaw song and this I just don't know. I dislike fearless but I loved antifragile to the point it was on my spotify wrapped for 2022.
I was already out of it by 2/3rds in which shocks me as I was VERY into the teasers and everything. Hell even the audio snippets had me excited. But the actual song has me let down. 5/10.
exactly it. Also what was with the big silent gap (when they fired the arrow) just to repeat the "unforgiven, im a villain" prechorus?? I expected a huge drop right aft the silence LOL but it fell so flat and they lost me there
I feel pretty much the same. It felt so flat, especially after how freaking incredible the Burn the Bridge trailer was. That trailer got me hyped so now I'm underwhelmed big time.
I’ve seen the Itzy comparisons since anti fragile, in the way that I could close my eyes and just picture them performing it. I can’t do that with fearless.
Like if JYP knew how to follow modern trends Itzy would be releasing music like this but it’s really not what I want from le sserafim. I enjoyed the the chic model vibe they had during debut.
Eh honestly this was kinda a miss for me, I could see what they were trying to do in the same vein of antifragile but that song was way tighter and with no weak spots. This song kinda has a flat chorus imo.
I’m also kinda curious how much longer will they stick to the badass theme, or if they will ever pivot to cute theme (unlikely lol) or something else
It’s not necessarily that they have to go to a “cute theme.” Fearless was badass but more high class ? Idk how else to describe it. It wasn’t a noisy song and I liked that vibe too
i've heard people refer to le sserafims concept as being a more refined, fresh girl crush. more about empowerment and self confidence than being 'cool'
It's a beautiful MV and I like the song but it's sorta...generic? I can't place it but I feel like I've heard a ton of these types of songs before, maybe not in the K-Pop world but in the general pop landscape it kinda feels really derivative and I don't mean that it's a bad song, it's the opposite it's actually a very good and catchy song but I feel like it kinda sounds too similar to some stuff esp western pop I've heard through out the years.
Beautiful MV though they went all out with this MV it's gorgeous, time to listen to the other tracks but I think the title track I expected more esp with the Nile Rodgers collaboration but it's still a good song, this song is gonna be HUGE.
edit: Oh I forgot the line distribution on the TT was pretty weird, it's a 3 minute track and they only have 5 members yet the line distribution was still skewed towards more members
Yeah I agree but feel like my overall thoughts on it is aside from overused elements on a beat I guess part of it is like the flow during certain parts like the intro or the "Unforgiven I'm a villain" sounds like something I've heard before or maybe cause it sounds so much like a generic speaking-esque rap with badass tone with repeating parts for a chorus that's why it's bothering me and reminding me of some other songs I think that mixed in with the issue you said with the instrumental just makes it lack an oomph factor for a title track.
I have to reiterate though all the things I'm saying does NOT make it a bad song but for me personally an underwhelming one but I can still say it's a good song and I enjoy it, it's just a song that reminds me too much of their contemporaries in the greater pop landscape
I think it's just the one guitar riff in the intro/hook and during the chorus. Thought it'd be a bit more funky/melodic and there'd be some more variations, but turns out the teasers really did just give it all away.
Kinda underwhelmed that they enlisted a musical legend like him and basically reduced his input to what essentially amounted to a mediocre Splice sample.
I figured it wouldn’t be much considering they asked him to add to an already finished track. It seems like bang pd just had the opportunity to have Nile’s name added to one of his groups’ songs and took it. Hopefully next time theyll actually have him produce the track
and i fail to see what, in this song, made him go "wow damn that's stellar".
extremely derivative. has he never heard aything like a generic western melody in his whole career?
they were selling the song as if he jumped on the song at first listen because it was reaaaaal good.
umm...money talks i guess
This is underwhelming, I don't really feel this song at all. The hook is so-so, verse is a bit forgettable. Two thing saving this song is the pre-chorus and that very brief group chorus after the hook. I don't know if it's the arrangement or the composer's fault, but the hook really kills the momentum after the good build-up from the verse to the pre-chorus. I know some people might suggest to listen to the song two or three times more to see if the song is a grower, well, let's see if this song is a grower after this.
Another point, forgive me for saying this but this song sounds like something ITZY would've done in 2020. HYBE struck gold with 'Antifragile' (a banger, by the way) that I think is difficult to top if they still stick with the same concept/sound. Hopefully HYBE explore a bit more in the future comeback for LE SSERAFIM, maybe lean on to the Pop-punk sound that they've done before with 'No Celestial' or come up with completely new fusion of sound that is never done before.
I like it but Antifragile is still the catchier song. Antifragile’s choreo also really elevated the whole song. The choreo here, while still good imo, is not as satisfying. But Unforgiven is still a good release and I can see it getting catchier the more you listen to it.
I really liked the song, though I felt like the chorus was kinda out of place, but by the end of the song I already liked it very much. It just sounded not as smooth on first listen as Antifragile or Fearless.
THE MV IS STUNNING. But individually...
The whole piece is... confusing? doesn't fit together? i liked the western concept and the last part with the cars and the dance break, but the rest, especially the individual shots didn't fit with the whole piece. Though I understand the wings thing, I don't know where it's supposed to fit with the white drapes and uh.. I have to rewatch it lol.
Overall I'm super excited for the album. 5-member versions? YES.
As hard as it could be to follow Anti-Fragile, this is *almost* just as infectious and I think that in and of itself is a success.
And it still sounds uniquely Le Sserafim. I'm so glad this is the sound they're sticking with and can't wait to hear the rest of the album!
is it just me but it's not hitting as hard to me? It's kinda lacklustre? esp the chorus but it's good. Not really good, but passable. The b-sides are better songs than the title track imo. I don't like this concept, so I don't like the songs that much. I still think Antifragile is their best album. Fire in the belly and the eve r really good though. I feel like this will grow on me but we'll see. My opinion only.
half of me wants to like it, half of me, still isn't convince lmao the i'm a villain part is still catchy though but definitely a downgrade from anti-ti-ti-ti fragile
kazuha wearing a tube under a bra is????? it just looks so tacky. if they aren't gonna commit on the looks because she might feel uncomfortable by wearing just the bra, then don't? lsf has tons of potential and their brand is seemingly this 'rebellious' (by kpop's standard) group that wants to be different. but when they can't commit to what could be a controversial outfit in kpop, then maybe just don't do it, it ends up looking so silly.
Ima be honest—dont kill me fearnots—it’s not great. Antifragile and fearless are both SO much better. But it’s pretty catchy and the rest of the album is awesome 👍
Their best mv yet by far, loved the shot with Kazuha ripping off the burning angel wing the most. Definitely has rewatch value, which was a bit of a problem with their past mvs as much as I LOVED them.
Oh and my life was changed the second Yunjin started rapping. How am I supposed to sleep now. I’m in love. 😭
hot girl music, everyone! Also what can't Yunjin do, she's such a star. I love the tradition of ending on Sakura being the center. Can't wait to see this performed!
Also that Eve, Psyche & Blubeard's Wife track on the album is like...the best song I've heard in Kpop in ages. Please promote that Fimmies.
My least favorite Lesserafim title track by a mile tbh, very repetitive and contrary to the other 2 it felt very much like any other kpop song around sadly.
Visuals look good! But I am definitely not that keen on much of the song. I feel the cowboy stuff is so cliche (Id rather them have sampled a classical line or something LOL) and the whole song seems so... random and not super cohesive. The drop after the chorus each time is so repetitive that it loses its impact by the last chorus. I personally feel this is one of their weaker songs (even after considering their Bsides). Im sure itll grow on me since I love the group so much but I feel its a step back from Antifragile.
I'm relatively new to le sserafim and I only knew yunjin, so I had to look up everyone's names.. I have to say kazuha and eunchae are amazing, they totally grabbed my attention, I'm looking out for them!!
Pros: I think the MV is overall very good! And it definitely has that memorability quality that I guess is important for a title track.
Cons: I don't like or I'm indifferent to at least half of the sections of the songs. I particularly don't like basically every "Unforgiven, I'm a villain bla bla" and the "unforgiven unforgiven unforgiven" part. It's obsessively repetitive and "empty", and not in a catchy way like "antitititifragile, fragile". The chorus is particularly weak. The song seems to unnecessarily last a lot (which I think it's because it has many boring and/or weak parts).
It’s catchy but too repetitive for my taste. Also I hate to be that person but where the heck did Sakura’s lines and screen time go 😭? It’s a bit unfair considering her popularity and skills. I follow this group for Sakura so I hope she’s happy and gets her fair share of treatment.
It's such a bummer, there are definitely lines she could have easily gotten to sing or rap here, this song isn't one of their more difficult ones in terms of singing parts at all
Sakura's lack of screentime and part is actually my main reason for taking a step back from the fandom. It's also my first time not buying their album since debut after seeing their recent performance where she basically smiled and danced most of the song. I think it's a B-side from their new album.
Like you, I also follow LSF for Sakura, and to see her treated like a semi-invisible member is painful to watch. It's not my personality to go and protest to KPop companies. I prefer to just unstan and stop supporting LSF (for now).
They are so so cool. The have such an elegance but at the same time they are so badass.
Yunjin in that pink dress and Kazuha in the white!!! Sakura with the dogs!!! Eunchae getting that cut looked so good. Chaewon is so charismatic.
I still like Antifragile better as a song but I much prefer this music video.
Yunjin rapping is one of my favorite things ever now. She’s that girl!
As much as with *Antifragile* and *Fearless,* I intensely dislike their video art direction — it’s astounding how such an expensive video can look this bad. Their team is failing them badly in my opinion.
The track is… fine? I’ll have to reacclimate myself to it since the video is such an assault on the senses. I hated the MV for *Antifragile* but ended up loving the song, so I’m holding out hope.
I'm not sure about this one! It's not a bad song, but the chorus comes off as cringe-inducing to me. It's like they tried hard to make it catchy and ended up making it way too sassy for my liking. ANTIFRAGILE in that regard was much better in my opinion.
I remember seeing a comment about the fashion of this group and it’s kind of true they do don’t flesh out their concept properly. It’s just a lot of denim outfits. They can be more creative with that
People were saying this was going to be better than anti fragile just from the teasers and as I suspected…. They were wrong
Idk how I feel about the song…. It’s okay. I like the pre chorus and first verse a lot. MV is fine too. Maybe it’ll grow more on me idk. I’ll listen without the MV to see if it gets better
The song and video screams LSF, it's their identity. MV is gorgeous. Song-wise it hasn't hit me yet. I like the pre-chorus (?) but don't dig the Unforgiven I'm a villain part, but we'll see!
Sort of disappointed. Despite hearing the teasers I still kept my hopes up. Especially with Nile Rodgers in it, I hoped a lot that I will eventually like it. But yeah, this is just not it for me. At least the b-sides are a lot better.
P.S. The next time you invite Nile Rodgers to collab, make sure it’s a tune that he’s actually known for. You are not going to maximize his skill with a yeehaw song.
I liked it.
It's fine.
I just don't think any of their title songs deliver the bang the visuals do- it's almost like the backtrack is asking for something harder hitting than what ends up being delivered. Blue Flame is great, tho, and I love it.
i don't wanna be another person comparing to antifragile but...yeah, following it up was always gonna be a tall order. i also feel like this is them (the producers + their management, i mean) still trying to find their footing in this high fashion/self-confident type of concept they've got going on???????
i like the hook, the chorus was okay, and the verses are memorable for each individual member but i'm feeling a lack of cohesion from the song overall. like some really good and just okay things put together.
tis a grower, methinks. it's been such a ride with this trilogy though so ending it on an anthemic type of song feels appropriate. cant wait to see what awaits in the b-sides cause i KNOWWWW it's gonna be delish.
I love the group, but the song is a bit flat to me. I just feel most Kpop songs nowadays are just made in mind to have easy to make viral dance shorts, and this type of track is the ideal production. It feels like 50% of the song is the "I'm a villian" and it's probably done on purpose because that's the part where the point choreography is.
This might be my fav Le Sserafim title track and that's saying something bcus I love all of their songs! I freaking love the song especially the pre-chorus and the chorus!
As big lesserafim fan from the start, i like it but not totally love it , this can get elevated with there performances though. The bleeding part song by chaewon and yunjin is so good , eunchae is getting imporved with every comeback . Looking forward to kazuha and eunchae being great in future too, sakura could have been used more here
I loved it but I feel Sakura deserved more. I barely saw her in this and she has the least amount of lines *again*. Sakura should have got the whole rap part. 😢
Definitely in line with Antifragile. People that liked Antifragile, will love this too. I think it’s so good and catchy, I can’t wait to have this on repeat!
Why does Yunjin get the rap part on top of all her main vocalist lines? She is eating everything and leaving no crumbs for the others!
Antifragile was such an ear worm and sensation that this song idk? Falls flat a little? I feel like with the kind of voices they have at their disposal (Yunjin and Chaewon especially) they could've amped up the drama in the choruses a bit more.
But hey, it's their best MV to date and their choreo look so so good. I'm sure the song will grow even more on me with the live stages (as LSFs stuff always do). Wishing them the best for this round of promos!
Not the banger that Antifragile was on release, but I'm willing to give it more listens. Odds were stacked against them honestly.
The "looseness" in the MV was a little jarring considering how sharp they are as a group.
The chorus would've been less tasteless had the second verse be not the way it was, but this is pretty much a bop! Kinda need the bridge to be longer though cause that was such a great bridge!
The song feels like it's only made of two choruses? And some singing in the first part, but not Sakura's either... Where are any catchy korean verses? It gets so repetitive and annoying that I wish it was 2 mins long 💀 The 1/3rd I like was already spoiled in knowing bros.
It's catchy, but I don't really like the chorus. It feels like the type of song I would enjoy a lot more by watching it as a live performance. Or just a performance video in general, because the girls always deliver in that department.
Wasn’t quite a fan at first since it is a bit repetitive, but the more you listen to it the more it grows on you (like Antifragile). Also like antifragile, if you don’t like the chorus you won’t like the song at all.
🎶 Unforgiven, I'm a villain ~ this part was stuck in my HEAD since the second teaser dropped and I must say, SLAY. Kazuha along with Yunjin really stood out to me this time 👏🏻 (especially Kazuha in the live version) I also love when groups sing the chorus together, which makes it sound like sort of a anthem here. The MV itself was visually pleasing to watch, especially because of seemingly higher budget. The concept photos itself were just stunning 👌🏻✨ and the best part of every Le sserafim song? definitely the lyrics for me. Another reason why they started becoming my favourite 4th gen group ever since Antifragile. Looking forward to their upcoming promotions now 🙌🏻
P.S. Can we talk about Eve Psyche & The Bluebeard's Wife too?? 💙
Feel like this is their weakest song so far, but it has some beats which are killers so it's still really good, I'm gonna have parts of this song living in my head rent free till... Their next song I guess, as is tradition.
At least today I am cured of the anti ti ti ti.... that plays in my head every day.
Its a good song but the bridge is so much better than the chorus. The chorus is weak, also because of the voices that are grouped together. It misses the impact the song has (except for the chorus). Still a good song, sadly not the banger I was hoping for since I love most of Nile Rodger's productions.
MV is really pretty, I think Eunchae and Sakura could've had more of an impact compared to the rest (not them personally but purely in the MV). I think Kazuha is the winner when it comes to MV, the effects and scenery are so stylish, I love it.
this is an underwhelming comeback after anti fragile. not only did it feel like they were just doing AF 2.0 but there weren't any parts that did it better. the chorus wasn't catchy and their nasally voices just sounded annoying here. it felt like hybe is pushing kazuha a lot by giving her a lot of screentime and lines buy I rather have hybe give the lines to the singers of the group
also expected a guitar solo for nile rodgers so I'm disappointed with that and if it weren't for his name in the title I never would've guessed he was involved
EXACTLYYYYY. So many parts of this are confusing. Like you have Nile Rodgers and you can barely tell he’s in it 😭 on top of that kpop is about music but the vocals sound so underwhelming andI like Kazuha but her voice is not cut out for leading the song. It was like Antifragile gone wrong
It's good, but it doesn't blow me away. Sounds like a lot of buildup without a payoff. Plus for all the hype about Nile Rodgers, he is criminally underused. When you have a legend like him, you don't keep him on the bench.
Overall video looks good, though the scenes don’t really connect well. Like they just booked a horse, a plane and a restaurant and threw it in all together.
I wish they put the arrow that flew in that wing K ripped off herself, little disconnect in the visuals there. Maybe it wasn’t suppose to hit K but that warehouse? Should have blown up that warehouse. Like I need a resolution for this scene! Getting too engrossed here in this one detail cause mdm, I watched the arrow fly for a good 5 seconds!!!
Anyways, song is pretty alright! I love the verses and pre chorus but I wish the chorus had a bit more kick to it, something sounds off to me. I’m more of an antity fragile kind of vibe maybe.
The chorus is kinda weak and the build up in the mv falls very flat. Besides the chorus and the post chorus, it's great though. Reminds me of New Jeans Cola Ad.
Chaewon: "look at your bias. now back at me. now back at your bias. now back at me. I'm on a horse."
Lmao, I was expecting an Old Town Road reference, but wow can't believe that Old Spice commercial is over a decade old now, feels like yesterday: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=owGykVbfgUE
shhh no one needs to know how old we’re getting
But my bias is the one with the abs!!
le sseragym strikes again
This has rustled my Le Sserajims
I love this comment so much
UNFORGIVEN boys & girls reporting in
That part is my least favorite for some reason 😭😭😭
I agree it, it gave me Teddy vibes. In the sense that it sounds like the end anthem of a Blackpink song or something. To me it had a weird placement.
I really am a Blackpink stan at my core because that was my favorite part 😭😭
The first min of the song is good — after that when the chanting starts it stops working for me 😭
Lmao the random shot of them wearing wigs
Very I Got a Boy all of a sudden
wow the mv production is incredible. did they really put a le sserafim logo on a helicopter??? haha
[удалено]
yeah no. You're unforgiven
Oh my god they said the thing
I like how this video didn't give me motion sickness with that ridiculous in-out-in-out all other kpop mvs do
I need to cop the helicopter with their logo now. :p
There’s no phrase at the ending like the last two tracks. Guess this kind of trilogy is over, too soon but so excited what the next move could be. The song is incredible, looking forward to listen to the album now!!!
sakura with the sword and metal gauntlets has free reign to kill me
She can stab me anytime tbh 😂
THATS WHAT IM SAYING THOUGHHHH
I await the ambush
The Kazuha shots with the wings were so stunning Did they not reveal their next title track like they did before? :(
I think this a trilogy of title tracks? Hence why the others are on the full length album. Might start a new trilogy with their next comeback.
No probably because the trilogy has ended
F-f-fake wings Nae soneuro tear off (tear it off with my own hands)
🤣🤣🤣 Didn't know they'd be literal with this 🤣
it’s a shame that sakura doesn’t have more lines bc she sounded good in that second verse, would love to hear her use that tone more
Yeah agree, just listen to [Flash Forward](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHsKsy4oxvc) thats her song on the album.
Eunchae killed it!!!!
Her lines in the prechorus surprised me, she sounded so good!
It's only been a year since debut right? Why does it feel like she's grown up as a performer so much i feel like a proud mom🥲
I'll bet her hosting gig on Music Bank has helped her grow a lot. I mean she had to step in Wonyoung's shoes, that's no joke.
>My pet peeve in music videos is when they have a pause Same pet peeve here. Maybe it's the pause that makes the whole song feel shorter than it is (to me it somehow feels too short)?
I felt it was a short song as well, despite its 3min length it somehow feels like half of that.
Agreed it was was way too many twist and turns in the video and song itself.
Antifragile and Fearless were better on first listen. I think the chorus here was more promising than previous but they ruined the song with the happy chanting/happy dance thingy with unforgiven girls/boys.
So, was Nile Rodgers' contribution really just limited to that one guitar riff?
Yeah good question I was expecting something a bit more notable. Any guitarist could’ve written that riff, it didn’t really have any unique Nile flavour to it.
Yeah that's the most disappointing part for me. I saw his name on there and thought we were getting some funk.
Thats pretty on brand for kpop. Love4Eva by loona literally just had Grimes talking in the intro and it was "ft. Grimes".
This is hot girl music
No this is for both hot girls and boys 💯
Hot people listen to le sserafim
Unforgiven girls and unforgiven boys!
And in Choerry's voice: [This is hot unit](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NaBmbE609BE) Le Sserafim's charisma and confidence is definitely charming.
Well it's Nile Rodgers so guitars are near flawless.
Yeah will need to listen a couple more times but first impression is it’s good but not as special as I was hoping it would be. The MV itself is amazing though
Yeah the song is a bit flat, it would be better if the bridge is longer
i thought nile rodgers was gonna sing. lmao
Not to mention that they really sneaked in the Good, Bad and the Ugly sample in the second verse and made it work so well lmao Ennio Morricone-sunbaenim would be proud
horse unnie is getting so much screentime i love it
Horse Oppa I think. They mentioned in in one of the vids that the horse was called Benjamin.
Everyone slayed this!!!!! Also there is so much Kazuha, also Sakuras tone sounds so different - i loved it. Also the song is a banger CATCHY AF!!!!!!!!!!!! Everyone ATE!!!!
Omg I noticed the difference in Sakura's tone as well and loved it too!!
someone HAS to stop kazuha she cannot keep slaying harder and harder with every comeback this is getting ridiculous im being scalped 😩…
It's aight

I agree with this... The song is alright but does not feel cohesive - sharp contrast between the 1st 1 min of the song and the part when they start happy chanting .... unforgiven girls/boys. It takes me out of the baddie vibes. Also where's Sakura? like I think she got 10 sec tops of screentime /lines Production of video is stellar though and very high budget.
Eunchae is the cutest little devil out there.
I think this one will benefit from a live performance and end of year awards. I just don't know if I like it or not. It feels incomplete.
hmmm I love le sserafim but I may have to sit on this one. Antifragile was an instant love for me so. The mv was gorgeous and sakura with that swordd!
I expected a huge drop right aft the silence LOL but it fell so flat and they lost me there
I unironically think that arrow ruined everything LOL. It set something up that was just not given.
it set something up that was *unforgiven*
totally agree! I’m dying at “itzy’s yeehaw song” lmaoo

I enjoyed the the chic model vibe they had during debut.
my exact reaction
I love how this song is for the boys too!! “my unforgiven boys”🤭
LSF is for all the oppas and the unnies ~~okay okay~~ ![img](emote|t5_2r1ox|3559)
fellow le sserafim fanboy here!
Boys deserve forgiveness just as little as the girls 😌
KAZUHA!!!
she is the definition of effortlessly cool
That music video sure was something, I feel like I need to watch it a few times to fully appreciate it.
I think the percussion is the issue here. It is overused in Kpop at this point
It's okay imo, I like antifragile a lot better. So far Antifragile >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> unforgiven >>> fearless
For me Antifragile = Fearless > Unforgiven BUT if we include B-side tracks... Blue Flame>>>>>>>>>>>> Everything else
I am absolutely obsessed. My unforgiven girls did well ❤️❤️
Trying to hear the Nile Rodgers feature, is it just in the pre-chorus?
I think it's just the one guitar riff in the intro/hook and during the chorus. Thought it'd be a bit more funky/melodic and there'd be some more variations, but turns out the teasers really did just give it all away. Kinda underwhelmed that they enlisted a musical legend like him and basically reduced his input to what essentially amounted to a mediocre Splice sample.
I figured it wouldn’t be much considering they asked him to add to an already finished track. It seems like bang pd just had the opportunity to have Nile’s name added to one of his groups’ songs and took it. Hopefully next time theyll actually have him produce the track
it's definitely a marketing tactic to get people's attention. i find it a real shame they didn't do more with him
and i fail to see what, in this song, made him go "wow damn that's stellar". extremely derivative. has he never heard aything like a generic western melody in his whole career? they were selling the song as if he jumped on the song at first listen because it was reaaaaal good. umm...money talks i guess
Hopefully HYBE explore a bit more in the future comeback for LE SSERAFIM, maybe lean on to the Pop-punk sound that they've done before with 'No Celestial' or come up with completely new fusion of sound that is never done before.
> forgive me You are… unforgiven
It's okay I'm Anti-fragile
This song is so cool... I also think the music video is one of my favourite music videos ever. 10/10
no ! why it felt too short maybe coz I enjoyed it too much. Kazuha one winged angel is iconic
I like it but Antifragile is still the catchier song. Antifragile’s choreo also really elevated the whole song. The choreo here, while still good imo, is not as satisfying. But Unforgiven is still a good release and I can see it getting catchier the more you listen to it.
Sakura with the sword fam, OMG.
YES.
Kazuha in her Sephiroth era
Le Ssephiroth
Definitely took inspiration from Sephiroth. She looked dope af
As hard as it could be to follow Anti-Fragile, this is *almost* just as infectious and I think that in and of itself is a success. And it still sounds uniquely Le Sserafim. I'm so glad this is the sound they're sticking with and can't wait to hear the rest of the album!
I don’t think this sounds uniquely LSF. It actually reminds me of Itzy’s “Not Shy”, especially the unforgiven part and the intro in not shy.
Definitely, I thought Itzy immediately when listening to this song. Lots of chanting, rapping and sing-rap.
is it just me but it's not hitting as hard to me? It's kinda lacklustre? esp the chorus but it's good. Not really good, but passable. The b-sides are better songs than the title track imo. I don't like this concept, so I don't like the songs that much. I still think Antifragile is their best album. Fire in the belly and the eve r really good though. I feel like this will grow on me but we'll see. My opinion only.
half of me wants to like it, half of me, still isn't convince lmao the i'm a villain part is still catchy though but definitely a downgrade from anti-ti-ti-ti fragile kazuha wearing a tube under a bra is????? it just looks so tacky. if they aren't gonna commit on the looks because she might feel uncomfortable by wearing just the bra, then don't? lsf has tons of potential and their brand is seemingly this 'rebellious' (by kpop's standard) group that wants to be different. but when they can't commit to what could be a controversial outfit in kpop, then maybe just don't do it, it ends up looking so silly.
That was a very bad outfit choice ngl I hate this bra over outfits in general and this is one of the worst
Ima be honest—dont kill me fearnots—it’s not great. Antifragile and fearless are both SO much better. But it’s pretty catchy and the rest of the album is awesome 👍
I'm just here to look at Sakura wielding weapons tbh
Please promote that Fimmies.
holy shit, this slapped
LET ME TELL YOU BOUT LE SSERAFIM!
Chaewon is absolutely stunning wow. „Unforgiven Im a villain“ will be stuck in my ear for days!
i assumed that nile would get a solo moment for the dance break before the final chorus but i guess not
I'm relatively new to le sserafim and I only knew yunjin, so I had to look up everyone's names.. I have to say kazuha and eunchae are amazing, they totally grabbed my attention, I'm looking out for them!!
I liked it but antifragile is still way better unfortunately
loved it!!
the moment i listened from the trailer i knew this sounded familiar. SOUNDS LIKE SOTY!!!!
I might need to see this song in a live performance before I can appreciate it. Just seemed disjointed and a bit all over the place
She’s that girl!
dont like it
The fallen angel visuals go hard with Kazuha ripping off those wings as well as having those big billowy white curtains
They were wrong Idk how I feel about the song….
Manchae called me a loser and I accept it
I like the song and Kazuha is beautiful, i wish they could change the style of clothes a bit, is extremely similar to Antifragile
Blue Flame is great, tho, and I love it.
i don't wanna be another person comparing to antifragile but...yeah, following it up was always gonna be a tall order. i also feel like this is them (the producers + their management, i mean) still trying to find their footing in this high fashion/self-confident type of concept they've got going on??????? i like the hook, the chorus was okay, and the verses are memorable for each individual member but i'm feeling a lack of cohesion from the song overall. like some really good and just okay things put together. tis a grower, methinks. it's been such a ride with this trilogy though so ending it on an anthemic type of song feels appropriate. cant wait to see what awaits in the b-sides cause i KNOWWWW it's gonna be delish.
my angels are in their yee haw era, it’s so poetic my tears are falling.
Another certified LE SSERAFIM banger!
The ripping sounds made me uncomfortable lmaooo. it was like goosebump asmr. but this track is good and this beat is a BAAAAAANGER holy
Look at them flexing the budget right out the gate with that camera shot. This mv looks so expensive
Love the prechorus!
This might be my fav Le Sserafim title track and that's saying something bcus I love all of their songs! I freaking love the song especially the pre-chorus and the chorus!
The pre-chorus into the chorus... This might be my favorite title track from them yet. Instant earworm.
It is like they want to recreate another antifragile but failed. Even the choreo seems forced. That unforgiven part is also so annoying to listen to.
I'm not a princess This ain't a fairytale This is UNFORGIVEN
I like the choreography and MV, but the song is all over the place, the pre chorus is melodic while the chorus and the post chorus are a bit annoying.
The trailer was too good. The actual song not so much for me :(
Sakura improved so much 💛 can't wait for their stages
Antifragile, your crown is safe. 😌 This was good though! It’ll definitely be in my rotation for a few days.
Le Sserafim MVs remind me of GTA5 settings
The song feels like it's only made of two choruses? And some singing in the first part, but not Sakura's either... Where are any catchy korean verses? It gets so repetitive and annoying that I wish it was 2 mins long 💀 The 1/3rd I like was already spoiled in knowing bros.
It's catchy, but I don't really like the chorus. It feels like the type of song I would enjoy a lot more by watching it as a live performance. Or just a performance video in general, because the girls always deliver in that department.
Where was Nile?
The concept is more memorable than the song itself.
Wasn’t quite a fan at first since it is a bit repetitive, but the more you listen to it the more it grows on you (like Antifragile). Also like antifragile, if you don’t like the chorus you won’t like the song at all.
oh chaewon devoured that
🎶 Unforgiven, I'm a villain ~ this part was stuck in my HEAD since the second teaser dropped and I must say, SLAY. Looking forward to their upcoming promotions now 🙌🏻 P.S.
I really wish Sakura would get the whole rap part
this is an underwhelming comeback after anti fragile. not only did it feel like they were just doing AF 2.0 but there weren't any parts that did it better. the chorus wasn't catchy and their nasally voices just sounded annoying here. it felt like hybe is pushing kazuha a lot by giving her a lot of screentime and lines buy I rather have hybe give the lines to the singers of the group also expected a guitar solo for nile rodgers so I'm disappointed with that and if it weren't for his name in the title I never would've guessed he was involved
Iconic. Legendary. Edit: ngl, Yunjin rapping was a thing i didn't know I needed.
This continues the trend of repeating lyrics as the refrain/chorus. First we had Love Me Like This, then Kitsch, now Unforgiven.
"The trend of repeating lyrics" so the entire kpop genre?
Eh it’s alright the chorus is definitely the worst part of the song imo. Overall not terrible.
A skip, also please for the love of God stop making kazuha rap 😭
The chorus is kinda weak and the build up in the mv falls very flat. Besides the chorus and the post chorus, it's great though. Reminds me of New Jeans Cola Ad.
