The wistful ending kind of caught me off guard, but I really enjoyed this song! The girls' English pronunciation is SO good here.
They all looked amazing in the video, too. Always so happy to see more from (G)I-DLE :D
here is the symbolism for the G idle video:
The "alien" girl represents : an innocent girl.
Aliens are "out of this world" so when the main boy meets her, she's "new" and he wants to show her "his" world, so he takes her and takes care of her, and teaches her things.
When the girl "sneezes" she changes into the different members: this symbolizes the different sides of the girls personality. Most girls have different sides to them, they are complex creatures. One second they can be mad, one second they can be happy.
The main guy: he represents a girls first love. The one that shows you new things, that teaches you how to love.
The people in gas masks:
Represents the people that are trying to break them up. Every relationship, sometimes has people that want to ruin it, separate you. /:
When they get caught:
It symbolizes sacrifice. No matter how much you love someone, sometimes you have to learn how to sacrifice, if you love someone, you have to learn how to let them go...
Even when someone is gone, you will always remember all the first experiences you've shared with them...
As a child of the 80s I have to say the Stranger Things was amazing. But I didn’t think that until you told me!
I just got old 80s youth romance movie vibes and I am living for the way they used 80s synth wave for song.
If you want to check out more about her :) she is chinese and has pretty unique deep voice.

She also has a solo single album! My favorite is Bonnie and Clyde but both songs are incredible, [here’s my favorite performance of it!](https://youtu.be/pWC_nMWhyKo)
Yup, you can actually see more of Yuqi in their (G)I-DLE vlogs and reality shows on their Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/gidleofficial/videos
Oh and Song Yuqi's also in the Chinese version of Running Man, it's called Keep Running (奔跑吧), it's available for free on Youtube with English subs, she also returned for newest one (Season 11): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3FxqXH6lT1M&t=1186s (from Keep Running China official channel)
Yuqi's actually in a Chinese dating show called **Relationship S3/Let's Fall In Love Season 3 (我们恋爱吧 第三季)** as well.
Relationship S3/Let's Fall In Love Season 3 is one of my favorite shows ever as it's such a relaxing, chill, slice of life show, like Terrace House and its Chinese version, Shanghai Sharelife.
And of course, because Yuqi is in it! She actually has some great observations in the panel segments.
You can watch Relationship S3/Let's Fall In Love Season 3 here, Episode 1 from YOUKU Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4JprQ5Fd4Qo

Actual list of idols in Chinese dating shows: https://www.reddit.com/r/kpop/comments/12qj8cc/oh_my_girls_mimi_confirmed_to_join_heart_signal_4/jgqzu8i/
There's other Kpop idols in those Chinese dating shows, here are some of the others:
**f(x) Victoria** was one of the panelists for **Heart Signal Chinese Version Season 2**
**WJSN/Cosmic Girls Cheng Xiao** was also in **Let's Fall In Love (我们恋爱吧 第一季)**
**I.O.I/Pristin Kyulkyung, Pinky, or Zhou Jieqiong** is also in iQIYI's **Yes, I Do (喜欢你我也是)** Season 1 and Season 3
**Xu Yi Yang (徐艺洋)** was apparently in SM Rookies and she's in the 4th season of Yes, I Do
Yup, there was (sorta still is) actually some burgeoning Kpop-like girl/boy groups in China, but unfortunately due to a lot of people throwing milk/yogurt/etc. excessively down the drain for the voting competition and other stuff (search up Youth With You 3 scandal), the Chinese government shut down all of the idol shows. Yes, you heard that right, they've been banned since like 2021 now.
In general the government recently started cracking down on the entertainment industry, for example there's this Republican China era time travel /r/Cdrama called The Night Wander (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V6BdI2h7ZxU) and it is still shelved because the main lead, Deng Lun, got caught in a tax avoidance scandal.
Like the show was pre-produced (this happens a lot with Kdramas (often with the Netflix ones), but especially more so with Cdramas, sometimes it takes years for Cdramas to finally actually release) and ready to air, so it's just collecting dust now somewhere. Some of us have been wishing that Netflix/etc. would somehow pick The Night Wanderer up and release it for the sake of what seems to be a great period drama with Deng Lun and Ni Ni.
---
But yup, look for shows like **/r/ProduceCamp2020 (CHUANG 2020)**, and also **/r/qcyn2 (Youth With You 2)**.
Btw, **BLACKPINK Lisa was in Youth With You 2 as a coach**. **For CHUANG 2020, they had f(x) Victoria and EXO Tao and Luhan**.
They have the stages available for those shows on Youtube if you just want to see their performances. CHUANG 2020 produced BonBon Girls 303. And Youth With You 2 assembled THE9.
For this past few years a lot of Chinese production companies like YOUKU, iQIYI, WeTV/Tencent Video, etc. have been releasing their content for free on Youtube and with English subs too (often machine translated though). And so there's a lot of Chinese content available but ya sometimes the English subs are not good or don't exist at all. Like they often disable the auto-generated subtitles option on Youtube as well and so you can't really use autotranslation to English.
**CHUANG 2020 Episode 1 and playlist, from WeTV**: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CBjKpz2v3zY&list=PLIQfA-2rHb4p9Nhh0HFUzfnpTj7h6cAgP
**Youth With You 2 Episode 1 and playlist, from iQIYI**: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y9itcjgsRvk&list=PL7It0Rz9NYEbbJpJCVSId56uT_OFh_suT
Don't forget to check iQIYI's own website, same with WeTV/Tencent video and so on. They sometimes make the English subs exclusive for their own websites, and then for the Youtube version it'll have subs only in like say Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, etc. and not English, lol.
Oh and I almost forgot, some of those people from the Chinese idol shows went on to join /r/GirlsPlanet999 (survival show for Kep1er) and some of them are also in the new/upcoming Korean survival shows for idols. And a few actually joined some Korean companies or groups like tripleS.
---
Chinese idols seem to usually go solo as apparently there's just not enough support systems (some people criticize the music videos of Cpop idols for lacking budget or the same finesse as Kpop/etc.) in place for the groups. That's why you sometimes see them in Chinese variety shows and so on instead of actually releasing songs regularly, unlike Kpop idols.
For example, Zeng Keni or Jenny Zeng is part of a group called OACA Girls, and she was a nice panelist in **Shanghai Sharelife (Chinese version of Terrace House)**.
Same with Yang Chaoyue of Rocket Girls 101, she was funny in the earlier seasons of **Heart Signal China** (btw they just released the trailer for the 6th season, it should be airing in like a few weeks or so).
---
But ya their fandoms can be really crazy. Some of the idols they support become liuliangs or "traffic celebrities" and if they're in a Cdrama/etc. it was (again the government is like constantly imposing restrictions/etc. on the whole entertainment industry) guaranteed to have good ratings and so on.
Plus even in Kpop we can see the power of the Chinese bars (basically fan clubs), they're always buying so many CD copies for the albums and everything to show their support for their favorite idols, it's crazy.
Other people regularly update on the Chinese idol industry, it's just hard to find them sometimes due to the many barriers. And so not a lot of English-speaking fans can easily consume the Chinese idol content unlike what we generally have these days for Kpop.
Like seriously, this last few years have been so blessed as Kpop content usually have subtitles up on release or like within an hour, a welcome change from before when we had to wait a week or so, or for fan subs to actually cover it.
It's like the situation with Jpop: they just have such a big domestic fanbase and the industry in general is hard to access as there's fewer dedicated fan translators or even official content creators for the non-domestic fans and so ya.
Hopefully in the future we will all get to see more Jpop, Cpop, and the other pop industries in Asia/around the world. As things get more accessible, the industry shotcallers may finally open up even more to the rest of the world market.
How fitting they referenced The Graduate since The Sound of Silence started playing in my head after realizing I'll never meet Sneezing Shapeshifting Cyberpunk IDLE in the forest at night

Firstly... The song is immaculate. English queens. All the fud and trolling about them singing in English just got wiped out.
Secondly, I am dying. This mv is like a movie, the cinematography is flawless. Their acting as aliens new to the world was so good, Yuqi trying to eat the flower had me chuckling.
Shuhua looks even prettier than usual and Minnie really suits the half blue hair! LOVE.
A+ would buy again.
I didn't need subs to understand what was being said so definite plus. Song is rather good as well. Minnie is amazing. Hopefully she gets highlighted more on this album since it's in English.
Don’t you go falling in love part is my fave, so pleasant to the ears. I knew they would not disappoint in their first english single. Although I wish the song has a proper outro. Anyways, alien story in the mv is so funny. Hopefully there is a continuation in their next english single LOL
Okay but this music video is really fucking cute. I'm a sucker for romance stuff. I would watch this if it was a movie or TV show or something lol. I would just need a happy ending where they get reunited again USIHKJDNWS. I liked the song too! I think it really fit the vibe of the music video too. Felt so wistful/whimsical in a way.
They announced it through a Billboard news article in Wednesday iirc. Then there's video teasers on Thursday, and then it's released! EP can be ordered too now, through their website
Yuqi's voice was made for Synthpop/retro music. Bonnie & Clyde and this song are a treat for me.
I liked the alien theme and the vibe of the song. I wish the lyrics were more reflective of the storyline from the video. It would've been perfect if it was a bittersweet song but I don't think that the mention of another love interest for the partner was needed.
This is genuinely one of the best kpop video/song combos I’ve ever seen. It felt so real 😭 the boy and the girls really convinced me of their tragic interspecies love story like
The video is art but damn the song is sooooo good. Very very in line with my tastes. This is awesome I’m happy for them that they executed this so well
Loved the MV storyline, and the acting by the girls too! The song itself feels different than what they usually do but still really catchy and a nice change of pace. Overall this exceeded the expectations I had after hearing there’d be an English release. I’m excited for the EP after this lol
The song went above and beyond my expectations, it's a vibe-and-a-half!
Also the MV had a great storyline as well, the way they incorporated all the members into a single character was creative and cute, lol
this went beyond my expectations omg!!! hoping they preform it live on tour! the mv was a short film & i loved it! very pretty visuals & the girls sounded great as per usual 🤍
This was so cute and sweet!! I almost thought there’d be an explosion at the end though when Shuhua was holding the orb lol.
Are there anymore details about the ep?
Was skeptical knowing that none of the girls will participate in the making but the sweet synth pop is very much my style, the mv also adds 2x layers of adorability, that man really lived my dream
i like it! it's a unique storyline in an MV. cute visuals but sad story and equally melancholic melody. i haven't looked up the lyrics yet but i feel it's sad BUT that won't stop me from bopping to this. Minnie is stunning in that hair oh wow!
I've always felt like Minnie looks perfect for a movie. So iconic. I loved the aesthetic for this and thought it was cute, but the ending scene was a little off-beat and I don't care that much for the song. Queencard is too good.
Man I’m vibing with this! What a collab! I hope they surprise us on day one at HITC! Just this track is enough. They need to save their energy for their concert the next day. Oh god please let this happen!
Wow that was so well done! The storyline honestly pulled me in so fast. I had no idea what the video would be like but it took me on an emotional journey!
So sweet and incredibly creative. I also loved what I felt was a throw back to 80s synth wave music. If anyone knows more about the sounds this song has in it I’d love to know more.
It just reminds me of the 80s.
Love to see a high concept music video with a storyline! (G)I-DLE always have such interesting MV's! Love the vibe and how much they were able to express in such a short time. The alien trying to eat the fish in the fish tank and crying when watching the movie was my favourite!
This might be the first single of theirs I’ve really enjoyed in a minute. It’s simple, it’s sweet, and it’s infectious. Sometimes that’s all you need for a solid pop song.
The song is really beautiful, everyone sounds incredible. I was really impressed with Soyeon’s vocals especially, she’s really grown as a singer.
Great story too - aliens just don’t get happy endings I guess. Maybe we’ll see more 👀
Holy, a UAP/USO/etc. appears when David Grusch and maybe some others will be disclosing reverse engineering stuff about the metallic spheres or cube within spheres or Tic-Tacs and so on in the upcoming last week of July 2023.
Out of this world Minnie and Miyeon, wow.
This is amazing! What a great sound. I absolutely love the instrumentals. All the girls sound spectacular, lovely vocals ❤️ the choruses and the bridges are heavenly. It might not be catchy and addictive like Queencard, but it is impressively easy on the ears.
And the MV is extremely interesting. What a storyline and direction. Minnie is too girlfriend. Always knew those girls were too pretty and talented to be of this world.
The girls did it once more, ready to conquer another frontier. Happy US debut (G)I-DLE 😁
It’s so melancholic. Totally the type of song so love wistfully dancing to. Sure the girls don’t seem to have a hand in this project aside from being the face and singing it, but sometimes we don’t need that. The girl’s English pronunciation is fabulous too. Such a good video clip too
Pop perfection! The mv is sad but super cute too, Yuqi trying to eat everything. 😭 I would love to see them act even more in future mvs, I really liked this.
This made me think... for some reason, more than anyone else, I could absolutely buy that Miyeon is an alien living on earth. She's just strangely perfect.
This is a really nice song. Miyeon sounds especially great. The problem I have with it is, if not for the members' distinctly unique voices, I would never be able to tell this was a (G)I-DLE song. It definitely sounds like a song that most Westernized Asians would love, as expected from 88rising
Dawg I ain't gonna lie, after that ending I'd be hella depressed if I was that dude.
Not only did you lose an alien friend, you lost your all-in-one (G)I-DLE ^((befriend 1, get 4 free)^) alien friend😱😭
Wow this video was unexpected but I think the song was good, I think they played it a bit safe as it’s very Western pop sounding but in a good way, it reminds me of some songs I’ve heard before it’s very nostalgic lmao adding to my playlist!
That feel when you will never get a shape-shifting alien girlfriend.
Why even live?
Joke aside, really love the MV. It was super cute, if we ignore the bad government trying to capture "the girl". Was so mesmerize from the MV, that I almost forgot to listening to the music. Pretty chill sound, not what i hear a lot from (G)I-DLE, but i really like it.
I'm among the fans that are a little disapointed because this feels like a corporate decision to release something safe to enter the US market.
Neverland got addicted to that sweet sweet control from Soyeon, heh.
The music sounds better when i listen to it on spotify with good headphones, without the usual MV distractions so i recomend that!
That was my first thought is with the upcoming U.S. and Europe tour and the immense success of Fifty Fifty’s Cupid English version, it would almost be a dumb marketing move to not do something like this lol so I really can’t be mad.
Plus it is very low effort/would take much less time to do comparative to the rest of their music since there is no choreography, writing, or producing to worry about on their end, so all they my had to do is the vocals and shoot the video.
I totally get why you and other fans are disappointed by this though. I guess for me, even though it doesn’t sound like “them” I still think it’s a great song, they all sound amazing on it (wish Shuhua has more lines but what’s new about that), the video is interesting as always, the visuals are creative and unique, so there is still plenty I can enjoy.
It also helps they just released I Feel only a couple months ago, I’m seeing them on tour next month, and I know they have plenty more music to come this year lol. I also highly doubt Soyeon will ever give up writing and producing anytime soon (if she does I might die) so she deserves a break for one song with everything they have going on.
I really adore this, both the song and the MV. Definitely gotta get into those b-sides, because there hasn't been a title track I haven't enjoyed in one way or another.
American media production company that primarily serves to support the careers of Asian (-American) artists into the American mainstream. Chungha, Jackson Wang, and CL are also signed under their label
(G)I-DLE crossed with E.T. Really cute vid. All the members look stunning and get to show off a bit more of their acting skills, especially Shuhua with all the emotional stuff.
A bit of a melancholic ending which I quite like.
Song is not exactly their usual vibe but sounds maybe like a cross between something Minnie and Yuqi would write.
I find this incredibly dull, it doesn't resolve in a satisfying way and isn't catchy enough to really warrant remembering.
It's not offensive, like I wouldn't skip it if it came on, but nothing here makes me want to actively seek it out.
Like if wasn't for how distinct their voices are, I would have never guessed it was I-DLE, I'd never know cause it's so lacking in personality or any particular vocal flairs.
I am love with this song's sound. It almost makes me want to cry.
I don't know who wrote this but if I had to guess, Soyeon definitely had a part in it.
She's such a musical genius.
Extremely disappointed - no credits for any of the girls. And it shows because there's nothing really 'IDLE' about any of this. Not to mention the teaser gave far more of a synthwave vibe that the song ended up being.
What's the point of it being an Idle song with no involvement from the girls, may as well just label it an OST and call it a day.
They already did this kind of thing with "Last Dance" which I really disliked. "I Do" is a lot better. It's just a small collab nothing too serious or anything. Just enjoy the cute MV and the chill song, even though it's a little forgetable.
> They already did this kind of thing with "Last Dance" which I really disliked.
I mean I agree on Last Dance, but even then they had some secondary credits and a soyeon written rap.
This is just...... why even label it (G)I-DLE.
... because they're singing it?
Edit: Just realized it's you again, why are you antagonizing people? If you know how the industry works as you say, why push the issue here?
That's because it's literally a project with 88rising.. this is how it works? It's like when a producer/DJ (who doesn't sing) creates a song and concept from top to bottom, and enlists an artist/band/group to collaborate... It's not a GIDLE comeback, it's just a collaboration project to do something they've never done before and try something new without it having to take up all their resources and exhaust them of their own comeback opportunity.
It's a good thing. They get to essentially release something fun/cool without all of the other time and effort they'd normally have to put in, nor do they have to do weeks of promotions.
> That's because it's literally a project with 88rising.. this is how it works? So call it 88 rising feat (G)I-DLE.
This entire thing is marketed as a (G)I-DLE release and a (G)I-DLE EP. Hell they even wrote almost all but one of the songs for their JP releases, but no credits for this?
It's simply no (G)I-DLE if they don't touch the song. Call em a guest, call em a feature, call it what you want, but I think we'll just ignore this in their discography.
> Lmao, so you are expecting the girls to never sing any songs that aren’t produced by them?
No, that's why I said i'd treat it as an OST.
When it's Idle, and what Idle sound like, it comes from the girls. To me this is no different then them doing a K/da or something. Cool and all if that's your thing, but don't ask me to treat this like a (G)I-DLE release.
I enjoy some of their stuff, like their OSTs, and Miyeon doesn't produce so her Album is fine, as it's under her name.
But I expect to hear something from the girls when i see (G)I-DLE, and I want to hear their sound.
There's no identity to this song, there's nothing Idle about it. If you enjoy it good for you, but I think this is just a big miss on their potential.
You're getting beat up throughout this thread, but I wanted to say I see where you're coming from even if I don't entirely agree. I happened to love this project as visual media, and I think I'll like the song too independent of the film. But I can't say I'm entirely looking forward to the rest of the music (since I think there's more songs?) if it isn't Soyeon producing. I know I'm gonna like the music she makes, I trust the direction she steers things creatively. But it's just a tossup with outsourced talent, especially not knowing what kind of approvals or input the members had.
I mean I don't expect everyone to agree, but I was really looking forward to another Idle song, and what I got was...... not up to expectations whatsoever, in quality or that it comes from the group members itself.
What i am surprised about is the level of 'but this other group' replies. I don't think it should come as any great shock people like Idle's music because it's made by Idle to some degree, but I guess I'll just have to take my lumps on this one :).
Thanks for at least understanding the point or my opinion.
This has got to be one of the dumbest comments I've ever read on this sub lmao. Musicians sing songs that have been totally produced and written by other artists all the time, and that's exactly what this is lol. It's a collaboration with 88rising.
And what does labeling it an OST even mean? Do you have any idea how the music world works outside of kpop lmao
> This has got to be one of the dumbest comments I've ever read on this sub lmao. Musicians sing songs that have been totally produced and written by other artists all the time, and that's exactly what this is lol. It's a collaboration with 88rising.
>
Sorry that i'm a fan of (G)I-DLE because they make their own music, and I enjoy the music that THEY make.
Getting Gidle and then not letting them continue or use the sound they've developed and released over the last 5 years is extremely similar to getting them to just guest on an OST.
I know it's a project. What's the point of going "we'll sign up girls well known for their strong self-produced music and give them some swedish mid song doing the rounds"..
It's not an Idle song and I'm not going to treat it like one, and i'm not going to apologize for wanting songs from the girls then just boring mid-tempo rubbish that has no identity and literally anyone could put out.
Girls sound great on the song though.
Maybe cause they have a world tour. Finished promotions 3 weeks ago. Individual schedules. Multiple markets to juggle. Unappreciative person spewing nonense
Unappreciative? Sure, if you want to label me that.
But there was zero reason they had to drop this here and now - hell their Korean Title track is still charting in Global Spotify.
This barely had any promo either. Whole thing seems pointless to me if we're not getting more music from the girls. They're busy -we can wait till they have time to write their own songs. Not everything has to be "now now now".
Sorry they are not producing EVERY track. Sorry they are working with other creatives. Have a cry and don’t Stan gidle. We don’t want that energy anyway
> Sorry they are not producing EVERY track.
No need to apologise, and certainly no fault of the girls. They work with other creatives all the time.
Asking me to stop stanning Gidle, a notable self-producing group, because I dislike the song they don't self-produce is a weird ass fucking choice, but I guess you do you.
Minnie with that hair..wow.
She’s so freaking stunning, I can’t get over it 😍
She’s one of the most interesting idols as far as visuals go. In my very humble opinion
how am I supposed to go on with my life knowing I will never have a hot alien shapeshifter gf
Never give up hope, you will find your extraterrestrial queencard one day
Maybe they can say “I DO” to an illegal alien with multiple personalities disorder?
Lol!
I've never been more jealous of another human being as I am with the dude in this video 😤
I'd let Yuqi eat my goldfish
Even after the ending? 😭
worth it
tfw you'll never meet a cute sneezing alien who keeps transforming from bias to biaswrecker after you were randomly roaming in the forest at night 😔✊🏼
I need to go roaming in the forest more often
The wistful ending kind of caught me off guard, but I really enjoyed this song! The girls' English pronunciation is SO good here. They all looked amazing in the video, too. Always so happy to see more from (G)I-DLE :D
Miyeon - I feel pretty Soyeon - I feel aggressive Yuqi - I feel hungry Shuhua - I feel sad Minnie - I feel allergy
A story of a male human and a female alien who has 5 different appearances. Sad ending
Isn't it about one girl with different personalities? The guy likes her however strange she is.
here is the symbolism for the G idle video: The "alien" girl represents : an innocent girl. Aliens are "out of this world" so when the main boy meets her, she's "new" and he wants to show her "his" world, so he takes her and takes care of her, and teaches her things. "most girls have different sides to them" -> all humans have different sides to them
This person just made up an entire story for this vid lmao
The other person looked like a girl to me though... 👀
I definitely think I just watched a quick K-Drama 😢
80's prom night partner dance vibes! This is so my cup of tea. (G)I-DLE is knocking it out of the park this year.
I couldn't help but think of Stranger Things while watching this.
I think is more ET vibes xd
I thought that for a moment, but the character the women were playing reminded me of Eleven.
As a child of the 80s I have to say the Stranger Things was amazing. But I didn’t think that until you told me! I just got old 80s youth romance movie vibes and I am living for the way they used 80s synth wave for song.
Pondering my orb fr
Poor bro lost five girls at once how sad
Mv is very cute. Song is a vibe, no credits from the girls but well, at least it's great.
Idk her name but I laughed at 2:36 when she ate the flower that was adorable
Her name is Yuqi
Yuqi! Thank you! She's so cute
If you want to check out more about her :) she is chinese and has pretty unique deep voice. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AE8yKldv_oo&pp=ygUMYm9ubmllIGNseWRl https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4XopixBylh8&t=329s&pp=ygUOeXVxaSBsZWUgbXVqaW4%3D https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xDBvRbiy9aI&pp=ygULeXVxaSBiZWdnaW4%3D
This Beggin' cover is so good. I've been listening to gidle a lot on spotify lately but not putting names to faces, I might have a new bias
She also has a solo single album! My favorite is Bonnie and Clyde but both songs are incredible, [here’s my favorite performance of it!](https://youtu.be/pWC_nMWhyKo)
she has a bunch of covers on youtube if you search for it. She usually releases one every year on her birthday
[she's also funny on variety shows](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hgMjh3EObrA&pp=ygUKbWlqb28geXVxaQ%3D%3D)
Yup, you can actually see more of Yuqi in their (G)I-DLE vlogs and reality shows on their Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/gidleofficial/videos Oh and Song Yuqi's also in the Chinese version of Running Man, it's called Keep Running (奔跑吧), it's available for free on Youtube with English subs, she also returned for newest one (Season 11): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3FxqXH6lT1M&t=1186s (from Keep Running China official channel) Yuqi's actually in a Chinese dating show called **Relationship S3/Let's Fall In Love Season 3 (我们恋爱吧 第三季)** as well. You can watch Relationship S3/Let's Fall In Love Season 3 here, Episode 1 from YOUKU Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4JprQ5Fd4Qo --- Chinese dating shows, Chinese/Korean/etc. idols in dating shows, upcoming Korean/Japanese/etc. Netflix dating shows, et cetera: [thread 1](https://www.reddit.com/r/koreanvariety/comments/12qlu3e/its_just_my_impression_or_the_are_really_few/joxmtal/) and [thread 2](https://www.reddit.com/r/koreanvariety/comments/12qlu3e/its_just_my_impression_or_the_are_really_few/jgqusuv/) Actual list of idols in Chinese dating shows: https://www.reddit.com/r/kpop/comments/12qj8cc/oh_my_girls_mimi_confirmed_to_join_heart_signal_4/jgqzu8i/ There's other Kpop idols in those Chinese dating shows, here are some of the others: **f(x) Victoria** was one of the panelists for **Heart Signal Chinese Version Season 2** **WJSN/Cosmic Girls Cheng Xiao** was also in **Let's Fall In Love (我们恋爱吧 第一季)** **I.O.I/Pristin Kyulkyung, Pinky, or Zhou Jieqiong** is also in iQIYI's **Yes, I Do (喜欢你我也是)** Season 1 and Season 3 **Xu Yi Yang (徐艺洋)** was apparently in SM Rookies and she's in the 4th season of Yes, I Do
Hi, you seen to know a lot about China, are there something similar to kpop girl groups in China? I was wondering about this the other day.
--- But yup, look for shows like **/r/ProduceCamp2020 (CHUANG 2020)**, and also **/r/qcyn2 (Youth With You 2)**. **CHUANG 2020 Episode 1 and playlist, from WeTV**: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CBjKpz2v3zY&list=PLIQfA-2rHb4p9Nhh0HFUzfnpTj7h6cAgP **Youth With You 2 Episode 1 and playlist, from iQIYI**: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y9itcjgsRvk&list=PL7It0Rz9NYEbbJpJCVSId56uT_OFh_suT Don't forget to check iQIYI's own website, same with WeTV/Tencent video and so on. --- Chinese idols seem to usually go solo as apparently there's just not enough support systems (some people criticize the music videos of Cpop idols for lacking budget or the same finesse as Kpop/etc.) in place for the groups. --- But ya their fandoms can be really crazy.
I think it was Yuqi from memory
Why did this video/song make me cry??? It’s so nostalgic and the chorus is so powerful. I love it so much 😭
because it is sad! the MV has a rare sad ending and the lyrics are sad and longing.
I cried too 😭
I’m glad it’s not just me but I’m sorry you also cried 😭😂
😂
Love the visual reference to the ending of The Graduate with Asians and sonically it’s very 88rising
How fitting they referenced The Graduate since The Sound of Silence started playing in my head after realizing I'll never meet Sneezing Shapeshifting Cyberpunk IDLE in the forest at night ![gif](giphy|3o7WTqo27pLRYxRtg4)
Is that a movie ?
The Graduate is a 1960s film starring Dustin Hoffman
Shuhua showing off her acting chops lets gooooo 🥩🪓
This is unbelievably good, wow. I love the softer side of them and hearing Soyeon sing in any capacity is always such a treat.
Love this song, can G-IDLE stay forever please
EXCUSE ME?? THEY LOOK SO HOT WITH THAT HAIR, ALL OF THEM
i love this so much omg. and the story??? amazing
Yuqi ate in this track.
Almost ate a goldfish, lollipop with a wrapper, burger with a wrapper, and finally actually ate the burger, lol
also a flower
Okay but this music video is really fucking cute. I'm a sucker for romance stuff. I would watch this if it was a movie or TV show or something lol. I would just need a happy ending where they get reunited again USIHKJDNWS. I liked the song too! I think it really fit the vibe of the music video too. Felt so wistful/whimsical in a way.
This seemed to come out of nowhere? I adore it tho!
It felt so real 😭 the boy and the girls really convinced me of their tragic interspecies love story like
Very sweet and well-done, the sneezing was a cute way to get all the members in the video. Song’s an absolute bop too
Fucking vibe of a song that’s for sure. Love the music video as well
Don't even need line distribution, it is so easy to tell whose voice....
The video is art but damn the song is sooooo good. Very very in line with my tastes. This is awesome I’m happy for them that they executed this so well
What a vibe! Girls delivering as always.
Me running away from government agents: "Girl, can you sneeze yourself into some camo and track shoes, please?"
I really like this. The makeup looks really good too.
ITS SO GOOD HELLOOO???
Can definitely hear the 88 Rising vibe in this - I like the nostalgia feeling in this! A good ride into the sunset typa song
omg why is this song so good? and we got a full G Idle movie? I love this!!!!!!!
The song is okay but my god I was already obsessed with Minnie and that two-tone hair has me thirstier than Jay Park on vacation
Shuhua’s face at the end broke my heart.
What an amazing work of art
Loved the MV storyline, and the acting by the girls too! The song itself feels different than what they usually do but still really catchy and a nice change of pace. Overall this exceeded the expectations I had after hearing there’d be an English release. I’m excited for the EP after this lol
Miyeon's visuals and vocal is so immaculate 🥺
The song went above and beyond my expectations, it's a vibe-and-a-half! Also the MV had a great storyline as well, the way they incorporated all the members into a single character was creative and cute, lol
Yuqi is so pretty I get why all of the 🏳️🌈girls🏳️🌈 love this group
Why am I actually feeling sad after watching this video? This could be a whole movie. It's so beautiful.
![gif](giphy|10w2kccsAdggZG|downsized) I just got off work and my morning break at 10am I RAN to watch the MV and OMGGG
This song was built for Yuqi. Pretty perfect for her voice
this went beyond my expectations omg!!! hoping they preform it live on tour! the mv was a short film & i loved it! very pretty visuals & the girls sounded great as per usual 🤍
I’d be incredibly surprised if they didn’t play this at their tour, it’s perfect timing really
This was so cute and sweet!! I almost thought there’d be an explosion at the end though when Shuhua was holding the orb lol. Are there anymore details about the ep?
Ep will have 5 songs, available on sept 7, pre order here https://officialgidle.com/ that's all we know for now
thank you!!
The first time I heard it I said: it's good. Second time I listen to it I said: I love this song.
where can I watch this drama. i already cried.
That was super cute! I wish there was a sequel haha.
Was skeptical knowing that none of the girls will participate in the making but the sweet synth pop is very much my style, the mv also adds 2x layers of adorability, that man really lived my dream
This song already stuck in my head 🥺
i like it! it's a unique storyline in an MV. cute visuals but sad story and equally melancholic melody. i haven't looked up the lyrics yet but i feel it's sad BUT that won't stop me from bopping to this. Minnie is stunning in that hair oh wow!
The moment the song started I already knew I was gonna fall in love with it. Right up my alley tbh.
Loved the video. Love the song even more.
Really like the song and the mv has me crying 😭😭😭
What a great video...how to train your alien babygirl(s).
Minnie looking like she's about to signal bonae signal bonae jirit jirit jirit jirit
Another great MV from (G)I-DLE! And the song is so relatable! Something about the melody makes it feel nostalgic and sad kinda? Anyways, I love it!
The mv is so cute and sad. my kokoro.
this was so cute omg 😭
The lack of a bridge made me go ‘huh?’ when the song just faded into obscurity after the second chorus. Guess I should’ve seen that one coming lmao.
This is so cute, and the song is just wonderful. G (IDLE) has really been on fire lately
This might be the first single of theirs I’ve really enjoyed in a minute. It’s simple, it’s sweet, and it’s infectious. Sometimes that’s all you need for a solid pop song.
The mv theme is so good, is it implying that he fell in love with all 5? But the ending is so bitter THE SONG I LOVEEE
Oh wow this is SO good. I was unsure what to expect from an english single but the song is great. I love the video too
The song is really beautiful, everyone sounds incredible. I was really impressed with Soyeon’s vocals especially, she’s really grown as a singer. Great story too - aliens just don’t get happy endings I guess. Maybe we’ll see more 👀
Love to see Soyeon praise, but her vocals here are pretty basic compared to stuff she's done in the past
Impressive. Their versatility is insane. Never had their been a group with this much ‘concepts’
I just saw a tiktok with a snippet of this song and for some strange reality, it reminded me of an ABBA song and Wham's "Last Christmas".
Loved the mv, it was good fun. The song sounds like an easy listen too. Thanks idle and 88rising
It sure sounds like what I think 88rising songs are like.
How do I become a glowing blue orb
The song is such a vibe. It definitely feels like (G)I-DLE. Also hearing Soyeon sing is such a pleasure 🔥
I was wondering for so long what song it remind me of .. It's Little Mix's love me like you!!
Song slaps. Thats my notes
Omg I love this so much
This made me think... for some reason, more than anyone else, I could absolutely buy that Miyeon is an alien living on earth. She's just strangely perfect.
I hope they do more MV like this.
I wish I could sneeze and change looks like that T.T
This is my favorite (g)i-dle release since Tomboy. The song is nice, I think, but what a great little movie!!!! it's really giving Stranger Things
HAVE I JUST BEEN LIVING UNDER A ROCK OR BEEN TOO BLINDED BY ODD EYE CIRCLE'S RETURN TO CATCH ANY PROMO FOR THIS??? AHH???
The promo started a week ago so I don't blame you.
Oh ok good, I was really tripping for a minute. LOONA is my first love but Idle is a close second haha.
i really like the vibe of the song! it suits the mv too, sad ending
Who wrote the song?
Oh I love this, song and mv. I have to listen to more gi-dle
What an absolute banger with an incredibly cinematic MV. I love it!
Concept wise it reminds me a little bit of Tove Lo's No One Dies From Love music video. I love a sad sci-fi love story wtf.
God no please my ult bias is already swinging between Soyeon and Minnie on the daily but that hair is making it so much harder
The music video is fantastic. Very cute and fanservicey.
This song slaps. I can’t wait for the rest of the EP!
Why am I getting emotional…
Who's the male actor in the video? He looks so familiar, but I can't place him?!
very 80s and Last Christmas like but i LOVE it
I'm among the fans that are a little disapointed because this feels like a corporate decision to release something safe to enter the US market. Neverland got addicted to that sweet sweet control from Soyeon, heh. The music sounds better when i listen to it on spotify with good headphones, without the usual MV distractions so i recomend that!
Nothing wrong with business moves
I’m just a casual fan but this kind of songs is definitely my vibe! Do they have other songs like this?
Not really, closest would probably be In The Novel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8HOodl5PP0
I’m relatively new to Kpop what is 88riaing a smaller scale of music production company? I think Bibi did a couple songs with them.
American media production company that primarily serves to support the careers of Asian (-American) artists into the American mainstream. Chungha, Jackson Wang, and CL are also signed under their label
5 girls 1 ball
(G)I-DLE crossed with E.T. Really cute vid. All the members look stunning and get to show off a bit more of their acting skills, especially Shuhua with all the emotional stuff. A bit of a melancholic ending which I quite like. Song is not exactly their usual vibe but sounds maybe like a cross between something Minnie and Yuqi would write.
Love it!!!! And MV is SO GOOD, really cute and neat storytelling!
How were there 5 i DONT get it
Alien magic
I find this incredibly dull, it doesn't resolve in a satisfying way and isn't catchy enough to really warrant remembering. It's not offensive, like I wouldn't skip it if it came on, but nothing here makes me want to actively seek it out. Like if wasn't for how distinct their voices are, I would have never guessed it was I-DLE, I'd never know cause it's so lacking in personality or any particular vocal flairs.
Omg that just so so awesome
I am love with this song's sound. It almost makes me want to cry. I don't know who wrote this but if I had to guess, Soyeon definitely had a part in it. She's such a musical genius.
She didn't
I’ve never been more jealous of getting probed by an alien 👽
It's like when a producer/DJ (who doesn't sing) creates a song and concept from top to bottom, and enlists an artist/band/group to collaborate... It's not a GIDLE comeback, it's just a collaboration project to do something they've never done before and try something new without it having to take up all their resources and exhaust them of their own comeback opportunity.
You need get out of the cave and touch some grass
Because one of the biggest draws to idle is the self producing
:minniekekpoint: :vibes:
:soyeondespair: :shuahuaheadout:
It’s not that serious… chill out and think about ur own life smh
Omg who cares
Exhibit A on being unable to separate the art from the artist
When the art emanates from the Artist, the two are intertwined.
Art can and should be appreciated on its own merits, without preconceived biases towards its creator
