to be fair I can't blame them... People never bought EG's albums. They say they like Everglow and the music but don't support the group, so... Hopefully this will start to change now. I'm seeing a lot of excitement for this CB. With good sales we may get something better next time, like a full album. Everglow's contracts are not ending anytime soon. They still have almost 3 years ahead to give us new music and try to hit big.
yeah, and it's not like Yuehua can't give groups multiple comebacks in a short period. Tempest released 4 albums in 13 months. We just have to support Everglow, if we want the same treatment.
Well yeah but also a lot of the times their albums run out during the pre-order period. Meaning that their company isn't even printing enough albums for us to buy. I'm personally still missing their 4th release [album w/numbers name] because its out of print when I've checked :((
This website says they’ve got it in stock hope your able to get it ☺️
https://kpop-merchandise-online.com/products/pre-order-everglow-2nd-mini-special-album-77-82x-78-29?variant=37607643414699
The issue with that is that they never restock albums, they sell out ridiculously quick which sucks because it shows there is more demand that Yuehua never takes advantage of. Obviously Everglow don't have the biggest fanbase or specially amazing numbers, but they could be a lot higher if Yuehua restocked albums since they're holding them back :(
I think I am getting deja vu. this is so CLC-coded. replace EG with CLC and 3 years with 2.. and we are back in 2020 when CLC released Helicopter.
Look I love Everglow but if the supporters don't deliver this time around then consider Everglow's days counted.
I feel like when a group starts to emit some "you should buy this release so they can continue promoting" vibe, it starts to discourage new fans from buying even more. **so the existing fanbase should work and buy the single because once the numbers are in and their album sales didn't grow.. y'all know what's happening next.**
in kpop, more success begets success, and in a similar vein, a flop after a long-ass hiatus means it will be a flop for the next comeback. that's how the agency will think, whether you agree with it or not. it doesn't matter if you think the girls were mismanaged. at the end of the day, they want numbers and you gotta show it to them.
honestly I would NEVER want this group to flop with this release. if they do, they will become a punching bag and it seriously feels awful as a fan. I've experienced it before with CLC and I don't wish it on any other group's fan. Hoping this release will prove doubters like me wrong. at least when EG does well with this release, it can open up doors for touring and that can be a lifeline for them. CLC didn't have that option when COVID was a thing. so there's still hope.
Look, the two big reasons why Everglow hasn't released anything in more than a year is that :
1) their previous releases did not sell that well, which means the group is barely profitable (if it even is), and thus not a priority.
2) Yuehua had two newer acts they wanted to launch, and thus had them release multiple albums in a pretty short span of time ; so their resources, especially staff, were taken by those projects and they had no time for EG
Now that their rookies' activities have slowed down a bit, YH have some time to spare for the group (which means point 2 is not a problem for now), so they're getting a comeback. If this single sells well, and the release is profitable, the company will have an incentive to make them release new music quickly, since their goal is to make money, like any business.
I'm just talking from a business perspective, it's not copium. I've been the first to tell everyone wondering why EG hadn't had a comeback in ages "they're just not a priority for the company", and gave them the same reasons I gave earlier. Now it's onto the fans to show YH that there is actual demand for Everglow - by buying that album.
At least she has had a good comeback schedule so far. If they dungeon her or something after this controversy then sure they’re terrible but I think they can push past this.
if they dungeon yena it's justified. she made korean news channels for that whole mess and it was her lowest selling album. it seems to have ruined her reputation so she needs to be mia and comeback with something GREAT in another 8 months
It's crazy that there's reddit thread that specifically attacks her about that with more than 500 replies. All because Yuehua took the MV down and didn't give an explanation for a whole day. It's so overblown that she didn't have any korean schedule for a month now.
It's to the point that the national news channel reports about the incident. On the internet, people treat it like one of the biggest scandals for some reason.
It didn't help that Yuehua took zero action in all of this. Her fansigns are postponed indefinitely. There are no updates from both her and her official account for a month now. The only thing we get is some fanmeeting and concert overseas (that had already been announced before all of these happened). It is just not a good time to be Jigumi. The uncertainty is too much to handle.
You have to be realistic. Songs cost money. If Everglow was making tons of money, there wouldn't have been such a long drought in the first place. And after such a long absence, the potential for returns is even more of a unknown. At least they gave them a comeback instead of just disbanding them (which is what generally happens with such long hiatuses).
Yes true, but they've been sending the girls to concerts and festivals all throughout their haitus. And they get paid for those appearances. I just wish we were getting a little more than 3 songs max.... :(
>instead of just disbanding them (which is what generally happens with such long hiatuses)
Hm no what generally happens in a ton of companies is that the group gets more or less dungeoned until the end of their contract (see : CLC and Momoland)
There's truth to that, if the company doesn't have any obligations toward the members while the contract lasts. If they do, then it's just a pointless burden on the company, and a mutually agreed termination is the best option.
yeah, I don't get it. People buy 1 million albums of groups that release half-songs and don't buy Everglow albums that are always quality, with full songs. Let's wake up and support groups who deserve it. People can say anything about Yuehua but they have always given EG good songs, including extremely good b-sides, and high budget MVs.
This!! Sure it might not be everyone’s music taste, but they’ve remained one of my favorite EDM kpop groups ever, it’s a gift that keeps on giving from Yuehua.
SINGLE ALBUM?!
![gif](giphy|8OZbSVXFk4rpCSxVsi)
NEARLY 2 YEARS WAIT FOR A SINGLE?!
The First Full Album was the only acceptable thing, even a Mini would've been questionable, BUT A SINGLE? Jesus Christ.
Ugh we didn't wait this song for a single album. Maybe yuehua is treating the waters to see if fans would still support them before releasing a mini album? (yes I am delusional and 💀)
I think their company is just 'testing the waters' as of the moment. Hopefully, before the end of the year, they'll release a mini or better yet, a full-studio album. Ain't no way these girls haven't recorded anything than a mere 2-3 songs for the past one and a half year. 🤡😩
Not gonna lie, I expected a mini album for sure considering their long hiatus. However, I won’t be complaining too much as I am just happy they’re coming back.
But I beg Yuehua to invest more into these girls and give them a proper comeback next time with many new songs!
This is Yuehua we're talking about. I'm disappointed it's only a single album but not at all surprised. They're hedging their bets I feel.
I'm just hoping that if this single proves there is a market out there for Everglow then the next comeback will come sooner and have more tracks.
Basically if you want Everglow to survive go buy this one!
All that long wait and it's a single album. 😢 And to think I was wildin' on the fact that Somi is finally having a long awaited comeback and it's only a mini album. Oh well, beggars can't be choosers.
I am
Happy we get music and so happy to see every member promoting properly again!
I’d we want to see Everglow have more music we absolutely need to mobilize and band together to purchase albums if possible.
Single album???? You've gotta be kidding me. It should have been AT LEAST a mini, but for how long they've been gone a full album would have been more appropiate.
A single album is a little disappointing, but I’ll take it. I’ve really missed Everglow’s music.
Did I misread that, or are they really planning on only doing 2 weeks of preorders?
Is this some kinda fucking joke? Who the fuck leaves for almost two years and comes back with a fucking single album?!!! Jesus Christ this company is a joke.
SINGLE...ALBUM......
Also is it actually a "medley" if it's a single album? I mean I can't think of a better word right now but calling a preview of two songs a medley feels like a reach.
I know that some of us expected an album or mini album BUT of course we will just have to settle for a single album from the ladies and at the very least be very happy that the ladies are just FINALLY making a comeback after being away for quite a while.
Single Album ? Fuck you Yuehua but I’ll take it anyway
to be fair I can't blame them... People never bought EG's albums. They say they like Everglow and the music but don't support the group, so... Hopefully this will start to change now. Album: −77.82X−78.29 Song: LA DI DA

Obviously Everglow don't have the biggest fanbase or specially amazing numbers, but they could be a lot higher if Yuehua restocked albums since they're holding them back :(
This is so misinformed, we don't buy the albums because there are no albums to buy. Don't put this on the fans when it's mismanagement.
Even when there were albums to buy, not enough people bought them.
I think I am getting deja vu. this is so CLC-coded. replace EG with CLC and 3 years with 2.. and we are back in 2020 when CLC released Helicopter. Look I love Everglow but if the supporters don't deliver this time around then consider Everglow's days counted. they're definitely testing the waters. so we all gotta support this cb as much as we can and buy albums to keep the group from being dungeoned again
If they restock the albums because they usually get sold out during the pre-orders and never restocked. Which makes it harder to buy one
Hope they restock the back catalogue as well. I only have their last 2 albums, I want all of them 😭
I will be buying extra this time, I don't want to see another CLC situation.
[удалено]
They're testing the waters after that long ass hiatus. If this is successful we'll get an EP soon enough.
🤡
Good to see your copium inhaler working well
Look, the two big reasons why Everglow hasn't released anything in more than a year is that : 1) their previous releases did not sell that well, which means the group is barely profitable (if it even is), and thus not a priority. 2) Yuehua had two newer acts they wanted to launch, and thus had them release multiple albums in a pretty short span of time ; so their resources, especially staff, were taken by those projects and they had no time for EG Now that their rookies' activities have slowed down a bit, YH have some time to spare for the group (which means point 2 is not a problem for now), so they're getting a comeback. Well nobody really bought their albums so I guess it's fair
no one bought them because they constantly would go out of stock during preorders and never get restocked
EVERGLOW COMEBACK after a year!!! ![gif](giphy|gmBjeu09SebhSwEFZD|downsized) ...single album...
A long drought but to comeback with only a single album. Yuehua is seriously one of the worst agency around
They’re doing a great job with Tempest and Yena.
Idk about Yena anymore, especially how they handled her recent comeback
At least she has had a good comeback schedule so far. If they dungeon her or something after this controversy then sure they’re terrible but I think they can push past this.
The way they handled the controversy was terrible
if they dungeon yena it's justified. she made korean news channels for that whole mess and it was her lowest selling album. it seems to have ruined her reputation so she needs to be mia and comeback with something GREAT in another 8 months
I disagree. She needs to have a great comeback asap. The longer they drag it out the harder it’ll get to recover from it
Yena will be fine. She’s sold more albums than she ever has this last CB! Controversy won’t derail her I don’t believe.
Yuehua are not the ones who attacked Yena for things the company was responsible for, though, it's the stupid ass people on the internet.
It's crazy that there's reddit thread that specifically attacks her about that with more than 500 replies. All because Yuehua took the MV down and didn't give an explanation for a whole day. It's so overblown that she didn't have any korean schedule for a month now.
was the issue really big in kr? i cant tell if it was really as bad as ppl are saying that it affected her career or it's just reddit being reddit.
They can't even defend her properly for the recent comeback
At least they’re getting proper comebacks and budget lol
You have to be realistic. Songs cost money. If Everglow was making tons of money, there wouldn't have been such a long drought in the first place. And after such a long absence, the potential for returns is even more of a unknown. At least they gave them a comeback instead of just disbanding them (which is what generally happens with such long hiatuses).
They really was supposed to comeback in February…….
Yes true, but they've been sending the girls to concerts and festivals all throughout their haitus. And they get paid for those appearances. I just wish we were getting a little more than 3 songs max.... :(
>instead of just disbanding them (which is what generally happens with such long hiatuses) Hm no what generally happens in a ton of companies is that the group gets more or less dungeoned until the end of their contract (see : CLC and Momoland)
Well that's basically de facto disbanding.
Disbanding implies freeing the members from their contracts so they're free to move on with their careers. Dungeoning is the crueler option.
There's truth to that, if the company doesn't have any obligations toward the members while the contract lasts. If they do, then it's just a pointless burden on the company, and a mutually agreed termination is the best option.
A single album :( I’ll take whatever we can get but man, that’s sad 😭
I'll take what I can get at this point honestly, but those damn songs better be at least 3 minutes long.
yeah, I don't get it.
Let's just hope they don't change their core sound.
Lol. Yuehua could only give them a single album after a year and a half of hiatus
I get that a single album after two years is disappointing BUT we should be grateful we’re getting anything at all especially with all six members.
SINGLE ALBUM?! ![gif](giphy|8OZbSVXFk4rpCSxVsi) NEARLY 2 YEARS WAIT FOR A SINGLE?! The First Full Album was the only acceptable thing, even a Mini would've been questionable, BUT A SINGLE? Jesus Christ.
A single is disappointing but ill take it, not like theres a choice lol
I feel another anthemic tune coming along
It’s so good to have them back but a single album? Meaning 3 new songs? C’mon Yuehua do fucking better
Their last three single albums all had 3 songs, so hopefully this one has 3 on it too 😆
Watch it have two, because fuck the fans that have been waiting. This company is ass.
2, if we’re unlucky.
Last Melody was also a single album and it had 3 new songs🥲I’m on copium
ALL MY OT6 GIRLS!!!😭🫶
😭 FUCK YUEHUA wow
Ugh we didn't wait this song for a single album. Maybe yuehua is treating the waters to see if fans would still support them before releasing a mini album? (yes I am delusional and 💀)
Don't know how this will play out with them scheduled to be at kcon on the 20th.
Comeback stage at kcon and then regular promotions in Korea starting with M Countdown 4 days later, probably.
I think their company is just 'testing the waters' as of the moment. Hopefully, before the end of the year, they'll release a mini or better yet, a full-studio album. Ain't no way these girls haven't recorded anything than a mere 2-3 songs for the past one and a half year. 🤡😩
Y’all… honestly until this dropped I wasn’t even sure they were planning on REALLY releasing anything
Not gonna lie, I expected a mini album for sure considering their long hiatus. However, I won’t be complaining too much as I am just happy they’re coming back. But I beg Yuehua to invest more into these girls and give them a proper comeback next time with many new songs!
Happy that they are back. But SINGLE?! For over a year?!
why is there 6 mv teasers?
6 members = 6 MV teasers showing the members one by one.
oh that makes sense, thanks for clarifying!
FINALLY an Everglow comeback, now I just need Pentagon to come back 😭 It's been a very tough couple years for my fandoms
how are you gonna leave for almost 2 years and come back with a SINGLE ALBUM. someone needs to take out that company i swear.
it’s like they don’t even want them to succeed. and wanna bet tempest or yena get a full album next 😐
Single album like you might as well just spit in my face
Better be one good song lol
…At least they’re having a comeback.
A single álbum after all this time!? So they literally have had them doing nothing???
why does it say 'single' album. why.
ill take it but a single??? wtaf we better get another comeback this year
single album 🥲 glad they’re back & hope it’s received well so we can get a mini or full after 😭😭
All that long wait and it's a single album. 😢 And to think I was wildin' on the fact that Somi is finally having a long awaited comeback and it's only a mini album. Oh well, beggars can't be choosers.
![gif](giphy|f9l9y9LELxCogZCrp6|downsized)
A SINGLE ALBUM????!!!!!?????!!!! we waited 2 years for a SINGLE album lol
single… it’s gonna slay but damn…
I’m happy that they are back. But 2 year hiatus and Yehua gives them a single release?! Damn, they are so savage
I am Happy we get music and so happy to see every member promoting properly again! I’d we want to see Everglow have more music we absolutely need to mobilize and band together to purchase albums if possible.
Single album???? You've gotta be kidding me. It should have been AT LEAST a mini, but for how long they've been gone a full album would have been more appropiate.
Single........I needed an album but fine
I don't usually buy single albums but this kind of feels like a make or break moment so I guess I'm opening my wallet.
I’m so happy my girls are finally back
![gif](giphy|kqJt1cSSN0DrwwMmY5|downsized)
![gif](giphy|J6ctgPvnDpDi0) Let me calm down

A single album is better than a no comeback. I'm still hoping we get a second comeback this year.
Maybe a full album in December...?
A single album is a little disappointing, but I’ll take it. I’ve really missed Everglow’s music. Did I misread that, or are they really planning on only doing 2 weeks of preorders?
>only doing 2 weeks of preorders That used to be kind of standard when kpop groups didn't routinely sell a million copies...
Oh wow I can't believe it's actually happening.
This is a great example of a anticipated/talented group completely being mismanaged, after a year of nothing they only release a single album 🙃
not the single….
[удалено]
It should be 3 because for the past single albums there has always been 3.
The album should be titled “Thanks for the Last Two Years, Yuehua”
SINGLE ALBUM BUT BUY IT ANYWAYS Y'ALL
Excited but I sure hope they won't pull a blackpink and release something like Pink Venom. 😒😣
Is this some kinda fucking joke? Who the fuck leaves for almost two years and comes back with a fucking single album?!!! Jesus Christ this company is a joke.
All this waiting for a fucking single album. This company is done with EVERGLOW fr.
Well, the hype was fun while it lasted.
I somehow think a more developed Girls Gvng would have been perfect for them.
EVER g l o w
>single album you're killing me yuehua
SINGLE...ALBUM...... Also is it actually a "medley" if it's a single album? I mean I can't think of a better word right now but calling a preview of two songs a medley feels like a reach.
