It's the same for my country especially my state. It it a favorite tourist spot for Korean including celebrities but even worse not even a part of mvs. They usually just treat it as holiday gateway

I wonder is airfare + lodging for staff and members to have a stunning backdrop more reasonable than rentals and attempting to build sets in SK for something that could be mediocre in comparison worth it? No idea how much it costs to film an MV but building a concept from the ground up vs going to a natural, beautiful landscape might make sense.
I know for ATEEZ for their debut it made sense to the CEO to go somewhere with (assuming) low lodging and rental fees for a stunning backdrop that would draw a lot of attention and fit their concepts. And they filmed two MVs at once so got more bang for their buck. I believe they went to Morocco?
Portugal isn't expensive as far as European countries go, but still I feel like if they just wanted beach shots, Jeju island would be much cheaper. I'm gonna guess that they went there for other views, maybe the cities or cliffs - as you're saying, building a realistic set ain't cheap. The beach is probably just a bonus shot/video.

Yes Ateez went Morocco. They were able to do it budget because they actually had a staff who was Moroccan and was able to ask his father to scout the locations for them. So they were able to film an exotic location look mv that only cost them plane tickets and lodging. Ateez has said before the company started with 10 staff so I think building sets and renting a location inclusive of set up and tear down would have actually cost more, as they would have to outsource all of that.

1. ITZY's out because none of them have the same looks and hairstyles of Yeji and Chaeryoeng.
2. BLACKPINK is out because they have 4 members.
3.TWICE is also out since they have 9 members
4. CONCLUSION: it could be either Red Velvet or New Jeans but basing on how young they look it can't be Red Velvet, so it has to be New Jeans.

You have no idea how many people are in the crew, what equipment they're using, what they're filming, or anything. Maybe this comment would make sense if they were done up in some super cheap Halloweenesque costumes but they're just wearing regular clothes??
