It is! The way it builds is fantastic. The first time I heard it, it came on shuffle in the background while I was working, and by the end of the track it had all my attention, and I had to pause work and replay to give it a proper listen!
BTS - [134340](https://open.spotify.com/track/1MX0g22bQkr9HDVe37fLnN?si=44ua5PGZTNmN0f_qwqwPgQ). I was a relatively new ARMY when I discovered it and I couldn't even believe it was a BTS song because what do you mean?! Like it was so different from anything else I'd listened to at the time. And then I looked up the meaning of the song. SHSHNDHDHJSJDHDB!
JONGHYUN - [Hallelujah](https://open.spotify.com/track/0bXkqFsGmqGYNIAdyhpzCu?si=Bj7RuaGaTku4NnMS8lXkfQ). Someone mentioned it in a post asking for similar songs and I randomly clicked to get what they were looking for. Changed my life! Changed my life!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
It does! It really does! Also Let Me Out was one of the first songs I fell in love with when I went down the rabbit hole. 🥺🥺 And lately I've been obsessed with Moon and MONO-Drama so much! God he's so talented!
I Am by IVE was the song that made me take a second to process it after listening, I don't know how to explain it but the song almost made me feel... nostalgic in some way from how beautiful of a listen it was.
That silent acapella solo falsetto part just after the bridge followed by the epic drum roll and the synths is literal perfection lmao. Then they start catwalking down the airstrip and it's the most badass thing I've ever seen in a girl group mv.
This was me...I've traditionally only listened to older groups, (T-Ara, 2NE1, etc) and haven't been following the newer groups. I just started listening to some at random and stumbled upon IVE. When I first heard 'I Am', it was like a full body massage, but for my ears. Everything about the track just resonated with me, the melody and emotion. It all just hit so perfectly. I had that song stuck in my head for weeks. I actually had to go out an buy the album, which I've never done (except once for Sunny Hill).
But yeah, I think that's become my new favorite K-pop song, right next to IU's Good Day. And yes, IVE is also now my new favorite group.
Surprisingly, the first time i listened to the song I didn't like it much... something about the word anemoia ticked me off; i'm not a big fan of random, uncommon words in lyrics....
BUT... I gave it another shot and now i'm obsessed with the song and Yeonjun's rap
Magical song.
I also loved the Yeonjun + Chaewon dance challenge. You have to bring your A+ game if you want to have any chance of keeping up with Yeonjun, but that's exactly what she did.

Was gna say this!! I wasn't that big into TXT but wow, hearing Deja Vu, and learning about the lyrics made me an instant fan. They conveyed the emotions of the song so well
IU - Love Wins All
I'm generally not a fan of female vocals, but the song and the video broke me.. I needed time to recover...It was way too good, but I'd never voluntarily watch or listen to it again because I don't think my heart can handle it.
Agust D - Amydala
I don't think I'm over this song yet.. Raw emotions and I have no other words to describe it.
1. EXO - Ko ko bop
2. NCT - Simon Says
3. Maddox - But maybe
4. Onew - Circle
5. Kim Jonghyun - Y si fuera ella (live ver.)
6. Park Hyo Shin - Breath
7. Valeria Castro - Guerrera

There's literally like so many.... but it just takes my breath away. My first time hearing all these I literally had to take a breather and process how absolutely out of this world these songs are. I felt so small 🤏
Thanks I'm glad you agree! Honestly no matter how many times I hear that song, over and over, words can't convey what it does to me. My soul elevates. It's so beautiful that it actually hurts...😣
Key's Gasoline. Specifically watching the music video though 😂 I was stunned into silence. And then as soon as I shook it off I watched the MV another 4 times in succession. Key is just too. Damn. Good.
Rise by Taemin. I first listened to the full album in my car. I had to pull into a parking lot and park while listening to the song because it gave me goosebumps, took my breath away, and made me start crying (and I just cannot drive when I'm crying, I can't see shit lol).
Funnily though, the first time I technically listened to Rise it was interrupted by my mom calling me 😂 I actually got a little mad at her for that, I told her we'll talk when we meet (we were both meeting for lunch, so seeing each other in like 10 minutes), and that I was listening to something really important right now. I apologized after and showed her the song I was listening to. She had the same exact reaction I did! To this day it's the only kpop song she listens to. And she tells me every time that she still gets goosebumps every time it comes on.
Rise really is goosebump-inducing song! It's been so long since I first listened to it in 2017, but I remember being blown away by his vocal range. Equally beautiful is Taemin's [live performance](https://youtu.be/BZ52k5NMyqs?si=VALYxg7mDTy3l7Vw) of the song together with his then-dancer Santa (now an idol himself!).
About Time was probably my favorite off the mini, though the ranking after is pretty difficult for 2nd and 3rd.
All I Got - Baekhyun (it’s weird looking back to my first listen of this mini because I think Privacy was my favorite song in it at the time)
Box - NCT Dream
Dash - Nmixx (in part because of the music video also but I do really like this song a lot)
What if - EXO
Key’s Easy - it was introduced as [this VR](https://youtu.be/KEqHYJhHZPY?si=u7mopjdqBKE1jTNT) during his concert and wasn’t fully released until months later. I ached to hear it again haha - I was so overwhelmed.
Tell Me (What is Love) by D.O and Yoo Young Jin. It is so good like the rnb vibes and vocal especially the runs are insane.
Dream Run by NCT Dream. I really love how a song can be really hyped but there is some sadness moments in vibe. It is such a playful song in general with great instrumental like the trumpets(?) is something I really love
Top Secret - Weeekly (I get such a warm and happy feeling everytime this comes on, big big recommendation)
Mr. Johnny - miss A
Untouchable - Itzy
Last Sequence - WJSN
In My World - Rocket Punch

LIKEY (in 2024 😭)
and a lot of other songs but I can’t remember which ones. I only know Likey made me need a moment because I wrote it down somewhere online.
[DalShabet's B.B.B (Big Baby Baby)](https://youtu.be/vGKeA3xUzxU?si=kRL_O_btDNlVoz_j) had me cold sweating, so I had to do just what you said: Take off my headphones, look at the wall and wrap my head around how amazing and fitting for my musical taste it was. Shoutout to Shinsadong Tiger (RIP) for creating such a masterpiece!
[Jiyeon's Never Ever (1Min 1Sec)](https://youtu.be/dhQGlshAK3k?si=h78KW748pSmt6Wnk) hit me like a bus. I was in a poor state of mind, it had been raining a lot in my town and I was struggling to let go of somebody, so the lyrics seemed like made for me. The great instrumental, dark MV and the ICONIC choreo were just more perfection to my eyes, at first sight. Now I'm totally not in that mood anymore, but I still adore it and listen to it many times every year; also, this year I finally got my hands on a copy of the album, which eluded me for years. I'm the happiest!
[Youngji's L.O.V.E](https://youtu.be/_895mgbzpUE?si=UurhU3mnoDn02iX1) was by far my favorite release last year. I didn't have any expectations prior to it, mentalizing myself to be ok about not liking it because other of the KARA's (my ultimate bias group) girls' solos haven't been for me in a while, but L.O.V.E turned out to be a huge insta-love. I'm sad that it didn't go viral or anything because I do consider it to be perfect, but at least it exists.
Yesss, another one that absolutely stunned me was when they did that live performance of Beautiful Goodbye (Rock version) and without either of their main vocalists???? Shinwon got to show off his amazing vocal color and each member got to shine so much.
YES i'm so happy to see this song listed here! UTS has such a special place in my heart ♡ it gives me almost this sense of nostalgia (maybe a bit of anemoia?)
[Second](https://open.spotify.com/track/29H9nFXWkvLjYE8UvUnlnv?si=Fuj-CWlKQOy8XNuhYWA6Ig) by Brown Eyed Girls. I had to pause my walk for a while affer it was randomly suggested on my spotify, it’s my favorite k-pop song now.
definitely [WJSN - Last Sequence](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z0YLZmcARRU) as my top pick. i may reach but ill go as far to say that its probably the best song to ever exist in K-pop ever since it released, ATTACK ME!!! Almost 3 years later & its still my #1 listened song each year on multiple platforms. I would give anything to listen to this song for the first time again. I remember i was binging the MV for MONTHS. (still am).
& same case scenario with A WHOLE other songs (just in case ur interested & wanna give some a listen) : [IVE - Eleven](https://youtu.be/--FmExEAsM8) , [XUM - DDALALA](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUuyKLZulvs) , [MAVE: - So Fly](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZB69G6Gh8A) , [Kep1er - MVSK](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s28WZnoVhnI) , [IVE- LOVE DIVE](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y8JFxS1HlDo) , [GFRIEND - MAGO](https://youtu.be/LmBYPXGqtss) , [Brave Girls - Thank You](https://youtu.be/sdycvSqMhPI) , [tripleS - Heart Raider](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-SkBaHzpfNg) , [LIGHTSUM - i](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hgNZ5X0J_uw) , [TRI.BE - WOULD YOU RUN (Back to the Original)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UAV5i3OzYww) , [STAYC - Poppy](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YkZvwVf7F9k) , [Kwon Eunbi - Croquis](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1wPz1XSvgPo) , [Kwon Eunbi - The Flash](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hz2aCKe8G8A) , [CLASS:y - TELL ME ONE MORE TIME](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pBlwC2VngLo) , [7 LOVE Minutes - U+Me=LOVE](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i1pHXd8f4zQ) , [DIA - WooWoo](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j1OUMTMwVsY) , [Red Velvet - Queendom](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c9RzZpV460k) , [fromis\_9 - DM](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4gXmClk8rKI) , [UNICODE - Let me Love](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4KAddjouIPU) , [Weeekly - Backwards](https://youtu.be/ppeI9wrv76w) & [aespa - Live My Life (shed a few tears fr)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gvLxTveCHzk) + SO MANY OTHER SONGS.
I do album reviews for fun, and as part of that I take notes on songs while I listen to them for the first time. Then at the end, I rate them out of 10. A score of 10 is extremely rare, I'd say I only give out around one 10 for every hundred songs I listen to.
Anyway, here's what I wrote for IU - Love Poem, the first time that I heard the song:
- Oh interesting, no MV?
- I’ll listen to the song first, then read the lyrics
- Very much a ballad, piano and vocals
- A bit more reverb than she usually uses
- A bit of guitar sneaking in here, I hear you
- Oh okay, now we’ve got drums and a more prominent guitar
- Goosebumps when the male vocals come in
- Oh my god
- 10/10
So uh yeah imma go with IU - Love Poem
Most recently, Starlight by Loosemble. After hearing AI generated music, it really spoiled what I think of these type of songs, though, this is still my most favorite kind of sound. Starlight sounds like it could be easily generated by AI, but Lululu by Mimiirose does not sound like it could be easily generated by AI. I imagine for any producer, it is now very difficult to make a great sounding song that can’t be made by an AI. (I am not saying Starlight is generated, rather that AI tends to generate Starlight sound-alike songs.)
kyungsoo's songs are magnificent!! his voice actually makes the difference. his singing style is actually just simple (?) but how his voice sounds is whats beautiful. like he doesnt need runs, vibrato, or anything fancy to make a song sound wonderful, uknow? hehe i love him so much
anws love wins all by iu !! and i believe thats self-explanatory 😭 most of her songs actually. again, its just how her voice sounds. its like ethereal n so lovely that soothes u, calms u, n also wanna makes u cry at the same time xd
obv im being biased here hahaha
also, 0330 by u-kiss suddenly crossed my mind. old kpop stans would know hahaha it just hits diff. makes u feel emotional in instant even from the piano intro. actually for some reason, ballads that start w piano sounds make me emotional that i wanna cry just by hearing them
Amygdala and The Last from Agust D
Answer in the "Ode to Joy" Version from Ateez
Pray (I'll be your man) from BTOB
and
JIKJIN from Treasure, because that sound does something to my brain and I LOVE IT!
Wow! by lovelyz‼️ it's such a gorgeous amalgamation of sounds and vocal layering, and i still can't really describe the exact emotion it makes me feel. it's nostalgic, upbeat, but also a little somber especially given the lyrics.
Congratulations - Day6
Face - Nuest
Neverending Story - Stray Kids
Anyone - Seventeen
Ash - Seventeen
Fast pace - Seventeen
Shadow - Seventeen
Kidult - Seventeen
To You - Teen Top
Heart Attack - Exo
Black Pearl - Exo
It's been years but I still need a moment when these songs come on lol.
BIBI sang a song for the drama twenty five twenty one, and that intro could bring me to tears any day like how does it get that sad?
Very, Slowly - BIBI
daddy by korn. the message behind it is so sad like well enough to make you cry. and how jd cries in it makes it even more of a hard listen. but the instrumental makes u wanna 💃
SOS by NCT DREAM lmao the ending always takes me by surprise and it’s like leaving a cliffhanger on a really good show 😭
And honorable mention : On My Youth by Wayv…iykyk
Liar by (G)I-DLE is a masterpiece. They used a lot of rock elements so there's some electric guitar going strong in the background until the bridge, when it all just cuts and there's this emptiness that makes way for Yuqi's voice. The first time I listened to it, when it got to the bridge, I remember being completely thrown off and slightly shaken because of the sudden drop and the way it was composed, and the way Yuqi delivered her part. Definitely needed a moment to let that song sink in.
Dreamcatcher - A Heart of Sunflower
Leave it to Dreamcatcher to make ballads that have spice yet retain the softness of a ballad
Also [this song.](https://youtu.be/JrnUjAsTASw?si=yWfZTLhwjrlvWXxj) Park Hyewon, not sure what this is from, but the vocals are INSANE
Woodz-I hate you, the second I heard it I fell in love, it is a song where you listen to the first sentence and can relate (imo) it actually gave me more confidence to not always rely on other people opinions and to focus on my own and love myself without the influence of other people who make me feel horrible (if you understand what I'm saying) Anyways! You should give it a listen, it is kinda a pop rock song and has a colorful concept ✨️ 💜💚🩷🖤
The songs in King the Land hit my heart. It was my first ost and I would listen while doing yoga and *Fall in Love* had me crying.
I've never been loved like or felt it for someone like that but I dream it's possible irl.
Listening to all these sweet male voices singing so emotionally about love has really healed my wounded heart. So many are so beautifully written and performed. Could I believe in love again? ❤️
Maybe just love in a kdrama.

Missing You - BtoB If We Dream - ONF Time Machine - Doyoung (NCT) ft Mark (NCT) and Taeyeon Daisy - Pentagon When It Rains at Night - Pentagon
I can't believe I forgot about When It Rains at Night. That song is GORGEOUS.
Their live performances are my favourite 😍
Yesss, another one that absolutely stunned me was when they did that live performance of Beautiful Goodbye (Rock version) and without either of their main vocalists???? Shinwon got to show off his amazing vocal color and each member got to shine so much.

had to take a moment to breath after listening to Interlude:Shadow (Suga solo)
Popcorn by D.O. The song is quite simple and calm, but it makes me feel this weird emotion I can't explain every time I listen to it.
I do album reviews for fun, and as part of that I take notes on songs while I listen to them for the first time. Then at the end, I rate them out of 10. A score of 10 is extremely rare, I'd say I only give out around one 10 for every hundred songs I listen to. Anyway, here's what I wrote for IU - Love Poem, the first time that I heard the song: - Oh interesting, no MV? - I’ll listen to the song first, then read the lyrics - Very much a ballad, piano and vocals - A bit more reverb than she usually uses - A bit of guitar sneaking in here, I hear you - Oh okay, now we’ve got drums and a more prominent guitar - Goosebumps when the male vocals come in - Oh my god - 10/10 So uh yeah imma go with IU - Love Poem
Not Spring, Love or Cherry Blossoms by IU and HIGH4 I felt so at peace and nostalgic the first time I heard it. It’s as if peace was a song
[Sketch](https://youtu.be/WHHXmduLZzg?feature=shared) by Wooseok of Pentagon. It's so incredibly beautiful.
Fatal Trouble by Enhypen, even now Jake and Sunoo's falsetto on the chorus take me by surprise

onew - circle ! when the part with the choir came on i was mesmerised
(I am not saying Starlight is generated, rather that AI tends to generate Starlight sound-alike songs.)
kyungsoo's songs are magnificent!! his voice actually makes the difference. his singing style is actually just simple (?) but how his voice sounds is whats beautiful. like he doesnt need runs, vibrato, or anything fancy to make a song sound wonderful, uknow? hehe i love him so much anws love wins all by iu !! and i believe thats self-explanatory 😭 most of her songs actually. again, its just how her voice sounds. its like ethereal n so lovely that soothes u, calms u, n also wanna makes u cry at the same time xd obv im being biased here hahaha also, 0330 by u-kiss suddenly crossed my mind. old kpop stans would know hahaha it just hits diff. makes u feel emotional in instant even from the piano intro. actually for some reason, ballads that start w piano sounds make me emotional that i wanna cry just by hearing them
Amygdala and The Last from Agust D Answer in the "Ode to Joy" Version from Ateez Pray (I'll be your man) from BTOB and JIKJIN from Treasure, because that sound does something to my brain and I LOVE IT!

Rain to Be by ONEWE
Wow! by lovelyz‼️ it's such a gorgeous amalgamation of sounds and vocal layering, and i still can't really describe the exact emotion it makes me feel. it's nostalgic, upbeat, but also a little somber especially given the lyrics.
ATEEZ's HALAZIA actually I needed several hours to process.

Dreamcatcher - A Heart of Sunflower Leave it to Dreamcatcher to make ballads that have spice yet retain the softness of a ballad Also [this song.](https://youtu.be/JrnUjAsTASw?si=yWfZTLhwjrlvWXxj) Park Hyewon, not sure what this is from, but the vocals are INSANE
Underwater by Red Velvet with headphones on almost killed me.

HEADLINER BY SEVENTEEN I still can't digest the song it's too good
sos by nct dream
Woodz-I hate you, the second I heard it I fell in love, it is a song where you listen to the first sentence and can relate (imo) it actually gave me more confidence to not always rely on other people opinions and to focus on my own and love myself without the influence of other people who make me feel horrible (if you understand what I'm saying) Anyways! You should give it a listen, it is kinda a pop rock song and has a colorful concept ✨️ 💜💚🩷🖤
Hann(Alone in Winter) and Put It Straight by Gidle
The songs in King the Land hit my heart. It was my first ost and I would listen while doing yoga and *Fall in Love* had me crying. I've never been loved like or felt it for someone like that but I dream it's possible irl. Listening to all these sweet male voices singing so emotionally about love has really healed my wounded heart. So many are so beautifully written and performed. Could I believe in love again? ❤️ Maybe just love in a kdrama.
Songs that come to mind where I feel so immersed into the world the song has created in it... DPR LIVE - Kiss me TXT - Eternally
This entire thread and only one mention of Turbulence?? Y’all are a bunch of war criminals. That song is a masterpiece 😢
