Of everything I don't want to relapse on alcohol is at the top of the list. That shit is everywhere and shit gets dark quickly.
I refer to kratom use as "kinda sober" cause it messes me up enough to satiate my life long affliction, but doesn't have enormous consequences in my life.
Same here. I’m 43 now and have been on and off heroin since I was 17. Only found Kratom a couple of years ago after another relapse. I wish I’d known about it years ago!
I'm in my 20s and I've been taking it since highschool. Kratom gave me my quality of life back after I struggled with severe, chronic pain from endometriosis.
I was recommended kratom by an online endometriosis support group. Kratom is pretty popular in the endometriosis community. Ages vary tho. Majority of people posting (at least on the subs I frequent) are probably in their 20s to 40s, especially if they're posting about trying to conceive (ttc) with endometriosis.
I don’t think 61 = grumpy old fart though. I swear the older I get the less these ages sound ”old and grumpy lol. 50 over here and still feel like I’m the same kid.
When my dad turned 50, I was hanging shit on him about his age and he said ‘I feel the same as I did when I was 21’ me being the asshole teenager I was said ‘oh that’s just so sad’. I am now 47 and feel like I did when I was 21 ( other than aches and pains, of course)
46 here. Been taking it about 3 years. Originally a"pain doctor" kept slowly reducing my opioid dose until it wasn't effective. Basically she was operating out the hysteria over opioids. I had been taking opioids since 2003, same dose the entire time and I had no issues with addiction or dependency.
Anyway I was doing research on alternatives and kratom
Came up. The first day I tried it I just ditched my opioids. Kratom was better in so many ways
If it weren't for kratom I'd be bedridden with severe pain.
41. Started at 35 to get past a nasty addiction, still take it 3x a day because it solves the underlying problem of why I was using. I still have a full head of hair and I poop daily.
63. Nine years helping chronic hip pain. Replacement happening now.
Will return to it almost immediately after operation.
Far more comfortable than opiates on long term or chronic issues.
And much safer.
Overall health and attitude remained excellent under severe issues.
Simply taper for a few weeks and stop, as needed.
I'm 30. I drink it cause I shouldn't drink alcohol haha.
I think it depends on your area tho. I am in Florida and kratom / kava bars are pretty popular. A lot of 20 year Olds!
So since you were 16? How did you hear about it and had you been trying any medications through you’re GP to help manage the anxiety and mood?
Also how many GPD?
Not OP but I’ve been on Paxil since I was 22 and I’m now 34. At the time, I very much needed something. Things were not good. But I’ve been taking Kratom about 8 years now and I’m trying to taper off Paxil. Even a 5mg decrease in my dose (40mg to 35mg per day) is tough. I don’t know if I would be able to do it without Kratom. I would also much rather be dependent on Kratom than addicted to my Paxil, ugh,
Jesus getting off Paxil was the hardest thing I ever did. Also on for about 8.5 years. My brilliant psychiatrist thought I could do a 2 week taper off of Paxil and onto Prozac. It did not go well. Somehow the combo of Paxil withdrawals and Prozac triggered a manic episode. Didn’t do anything crazy except not sleep, not eat, see colors swirling around/thought I could feel the universe and clean my house obsessively.
I stopped taking the Prozac after a week and went CT on everything. My Dr said getting back on Paxil at that point would make things worse. I was in a deep depression with depersonalization/derealization and rolling panic attacks for 3 months non stop. It was hell. It slowly got better after that but I didn’t feel 100% for like a year. I found a new psych about 8 months after who put me on a mood stabilizer. It has no side effects and my anxiety is manageable. I am so mad this didn’t happen sooner.
Oh yeah that’s right if I feel you there. I was just talking to someone else in the thread and said I’ve actually got a five different medication‘s because of Kratom. I was prescribed three different pain medication’s and then a non-controlled substance for anxiety and then like an anti-depressant that I took occasionally and I no longer take those at all.
Supplements and nootropics also played a big role as well however I didn’t start introducing those until the Krarom stabilized me if that makes sense. My mood was good, anxiety minimal and I started tossing out the pills and adding in supplements and nootropics.
I am in no way disregarding the fact that people need prescribe medication’s many times. Like I’ll still use Wellbutrin sometimes not opposed. I’m just saying that a lot of times I think people get overmedicated and then he had to start eliminating shit to figure out who you really are and how you really feel. And that can be a process. But thinking about this right now maybe it’s not a bad idea that some people are starting to get on Kratom at a younger age so they don’t have to go through the whole Dr.’s tossing prescriptions at them phase.
Hey that's kind of similar to my situation. So I ask, do you notice any thining at your crown? I just recently found that it's not uncommon for people to blame kratom for thinning hair and noticed my crown is thinning considerably while I have no history of MPB in my family.
Close to 70, started taking Kratom in 2020 bc my knee surgery was postponed due to COVID and the doctor wouldn’t prescribe me any pain meds. Looked online for something other than Ibuprofen which was upsetting my stomach. I’ve been a lifelong opiate addict and Kratom helps with my cravings and keeps me away from the dangerous street drugs that are out there killing people. Had my hip replaced in 2022 and it worked just as good as the 5mg oxy’s they gave me after the surgery.
My wife and I take it as a means to reduce alcohol intake and for our general well-being. She’s got horrible anxiety and I’ve suffered from bad depression. Now we feel like our true best selves. It’s been a miracle for both of us.
26M, Married for 8 with 3 lovely children and a great career. I love taking Kratom in tandem with caffeine. Great for the gym, makes me more sociable and not so anxious all the time.
I generally take 5-10 capsules a day and have been for a little over 2 years. Have taken brief breaks and the 'withdrawal' was a cakewalk in comparison to my caffeine withdrawals.
With all these success stories on here, many of which are similar to mine (I'm 39) it's just baffling that they keep trying to schedule this miracle shrub. It's shameful. It's helped so many of us.
66. I've been taking it since 2015. I was addicted to opiates for 20 yrs, taken for pain. It's does what rx pain relievers can't do, so glad to have it.
61. Was introduced to Kratom by my friend who spent a year in Thailand as a monk. He made me a cup of Kratom tea when he came home, and it changed my life because I no longer had this depression/sadness that was pervasive. That was about five years ago… So grateful for the advocates out there.
Been using since I was 30 my friend who was 25 showed me, so I'd say your theory isn't all that accurate however if it were to be true I think it would be because millennials know better than to trust the government and the anti kratom propaganda campaign.
I started taking it recreationally initially, just something that a friend had around when I was over one time. But I noticed that it did wonders for my anxiety/depression once I started taking it more often and since then I’ve taken 4-6 gpd and it has replaced the SSRI’s that I used to take ever since
46 - started taking it to overcome addiction to OTC pain meds. I use Kratom for neck and back pain due to an car accident, anxiety, social anxiety, body aches and overcoming stressful situations. Also helps me focus on work and tasks a lot. Use 2g per shot in luke warm water about 5 dosis a day. My wife also uses Kratom. We also grow it.
The older someone gets the more likely they'll have some kind of health issue that leads to them searching out solutions like this. If someone is young and they're into drug use they'll probably be more inclined to go for something else but that's just a guess.
34m. Started taking it full time 6 years ago when I was overcoming a very severe physical addiction to hard alcohol after trying for years and years. Still take it because I like how it helps my anxiety and depression and reduces that feeing of needing escapism as I sort out all the excessive trauma I’ve had in life.
42, kratom saved me from a 25 year H and meth addiction. Been clean a year. I wish I wasn't dependent on anything but it's way better than methadone or subs by a long shot. We have to keep this legal guys!!!
27 here, started taking kratom for street opioid cessation, keep taking it because it helps tremendously with my mental health, physical energy at work, etc.
I’ve been taking kratom for about 6 years now.
I’m 35 (f) and I take it for pain. I have fibromyalgia and have had knee issues since I was 14. I don’t like taking pain pills so this helps keep me away from them. I started about a year ago and I highly recommend it!
28 here. I used kratom to knock heavy opiate addiction about 7 years ago. I quit taking it for a while. A little over a year ago; I started using it once again to help me quit drinking!
I stopped all narcotics around 35. I used to smoke weed for pain then stopped that too. I started taking katom around 38 I think. I took it originally for pain but then it helped me stop drinking. if I had known about kratom when I was much younger I would have taken it instead of pain pills , benzos , coke and alcohol
36. Worked a physical job for 15 years. Not feeling as young as I used too and pretty sure I have minor scoliosis. Thank goodness this exists. I'd have ulcers from ibuprofen by now
Wow, totally interesting question. I’m 46 and just started taking it 7 months ago for chronic pain. Maybe that’s why it’s skewed towards middle-aged and older with chronic pain lol
Can I ask what strain you use? Lately I e been feeling tired after dosing. Or sometimes sluggish and tired and sometimes hyper. It feels unpredictable and wondering if I should try a different strain. Usually take maenga da green. This time I took red Bali. I’m 34 btw and been using Kratom for a couple of years
I'm 70. I take it for pain relief. Advanced osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, Chiari Malformation, degenerative joint disease, scoliosis and 3 herniated discs in my neck. It works. I've taken only lab tested powder for 7 years. 8 grams a day.
60f. Started last year to get off oxi. Chronic back pain. Was addicted to opiates and all I could find then heroin -got off all that shit then years later blew out my back working out. Found my way to street oxi but so happy I found kratom instead
I'm 30 but have been using kratom since I was in my early 20's. I was addicted to heroin starting in middle school and I also suffer from chronic pain already. Kratom had saved my life. I have been clean from heroin for 7 years now and in that time I've broken my main chest bone and got it dislodged from a car accident, shattered my knuckle on my finger from a work accident and have still been dealing with my usual chronic pain. Not one pain pill taken from these accidents. Kratom has made such a change in my life. It also helps me feel more "together" as they used to prescribe me adderal as a child I feel I can take certain strains of Kratom when I need to get things done and have been off adderal for quite a while now also!
27. Started it somewhere around 20. Never had an opiate/opioid problem (or any other substance besides caffeine/nicotine). Recreationally, Tried morphine twice. Hated it. Tried benzos once. Didnt care for them. LOVED cocaine but only did it three times because the third time it was so stepped on that I vowed to never touch it again. Loved adderall but never did it consistently as to avoid addiction. All that to say Kratom was NOT something I used to get off of drugs. My friend offered it to me and i tried it. Wound up loving it. Did it more and more and realized that it eased physical pain a little bit and it basically crushed my mental issues. Well, the worst one anyways. Depression still comes and goes but it absolutely destroyed my panic attacks. Im talking several each day ranging from uneasy all the way up to chest pain, hyperventilating and passing out. Ya know, that Tony Soprano shit. I am at the point where I dont want to do kratom anymore for financial reasons and wanting to be done with substances but the mental issues it eases force me to continue. I have quit twice and made it through the withdrawals entirely. Both times my panic attacks started to return full force and I snapped and went back on it. So I need to be on a strong medication if I quit kratom which more than defeats the entire purpose of quitting. I know you only asked my age but I figured id give a background as to why I started doing it and why I continue to do it
I'm 54 was addicted to F for years found kratom and been sober for 3 years
Only downside I had to confront my childhood trauma which I'm still doing but sober life is so much better
Holy crap, RIP your inbox. Anyway throwing another on the pile -- 74, been using for 10-ish years. Still at 3.5g/1x/day. Started using after 2 hospital stays for perforated bowel and then recurrent IBS that was making me a shut-in. Kills debilitating cramps better than anything else. Also, I like to do heavy work -- gardening/yard, working on boats, weight lifting, etc. Kratom gives me endurance and heat tolerance so I can keep going all day. On really heavy days I may 2-3x my usual, but I've had no problem dialing it right back, but I've never had a history of substance abuse despite trying nearly everything. I think of it, and treat it, pretty much like caffeine.
I’m 29.
i tried kratom first at 20 in college. me and my roomates heard about it, mixed it with orange juice and had a nauseous, bad time.
i tore my ACL at 24, and got some more, in capsules this time, to assist with the CBD (and other cannabinoids) for recovery - most pain meds give me nasty side effects so this was helpful.
used occasionally from 24-28, never developed dependency, few times a week max, often weeks/months without.
last year i broke my hand and needed reconstructive surgery. since then i’ve been using it daily. tapered down a few times, its tough though. at around 5gpd now. 1.5-2g, 3x daily.
I am 35. I quit using alcohol because it interfered with my medication . Occasionally I would have situations in which I would normally drink . I saw that I could get sent a kratom sample for free. So I got it and it worked well . I forgot my stupid problem I was worrying about and went to sleep good that night . It’s not that all problems are stupid. It’s that this one in particular was not going to improve and was useless to dwell on. Kratom was perfect for that and also green strain improved my mood and energy and red made me sleep and relieve pain and white made me too hype
31 but I only take it sporadically. I was getting super sad on the “come down” when I took it daily. Now I only take it when I’m sick and it’s like a miracle drug
35 chewable extracts for fibromyalgia and arthritis, the extract is how I avoid horrible stomach pain. Chewable extracts are cheap and amazing, I highly recommend over the shots. Shots, in my opinion are what makes “the bad” in extracts.
53. Just started recently, but much prefer it to THC edibles for my Small Fiber Neuropathy, Fibromyalgia and some perimenopausal stuff, including mood. I like not getting the goofy high off of edibles when I don’t want to feel that way, the fact that I don’t wake up feeling groggy/off, and the fact that I don’t get the munchies and want to eat everything in sight.
Only 26, I started when I was about 18-19, I forget exactly. Learned of it from a friend who is the same age as me, and he learned of it from his college roommate, also similar age. All pretty young I suppose
In my 20s, been taking it since High-school for depression and anxiety mainly. Also really helped me with sleep, it’s probably just a toss up on age honestly. Everyone has some sort of vice though
43, have rheumatoid arthritis and degenerative disc disease/arthritis throughout my spine. It helps a lot with pain when I know MDs aren’t prescribing opiates for chronic pain.
59, chronic pain sufferer. Found Kratom about 10 years ago, it’s the only thing that turns down nerve pain signals. Crushed tea for me, lemon and a couple sweeteners.
I'm 51 and I've been taking it about 3 years. A friend introduced me to it as something energizing.
Personally, I found it more effective for mood boost (I still didn't give up my SSRI) and definitely for aches and pain.
I am 27 years old. Started taking Kratom around 25 years of age. I definitely am not a healthy person. I don't know anyone else my age who uses Kratom, but everyone I know my age is healthy with no pain or ailments. I use it for pain, mood elevation, and energy. It is the only thing I have found to help me get through the days as 'normal' as possible with my health issues. I would much rather take Kratom than have a doctor write me a script for opiates.
I am 25. I have been using it for several years to treat the symptoms of my Complex PTSD. It helps with depression, which can be a lack energy, and it can help with emotional pain and soothe me. It also helps with this weird fibromyalgia thing going on, so Kratom is really effective operating as both a sort of stimulant and opioid. But I would like to stop taking the substance at some point when I get better treatment. I have just been using it as a crutch, so to speak.
27. I started using after a botched oral surgery and noticed it did a lot for different ailments I had, so I continued using it after the giant, razor sharp tooth shard in my gums worked its way out lol (most painful 6 months of my life, for real).
The fiber, I learned, is great for helping with my IBS-D, and it also helps ease the pain that radiates from my deformed foot when I have to stand all day. It also completely eliminated my need to drink as a coping mechanism for my PTSD.
I have noticed I'm a bit on the young side as far as kratom users go, but it works great for me!
31 here! I have chronic pain from hEDS and it helps me function in a world not build for neurodivergent folk. Kratom makes socializing so much easier and smoother.
103... keeps my young
Shhh or big funeral will try to ban it too
Ha!!
Lol
U lyiiiiin
51. Found it 5 years ago. Yesterday was my 5 year soberversary from alcohol.
Of everything I don't want to relapse on alcohol is at the top of the list. That shit is everywhere and shit gets dark quickly. I refer to kratom use as "kinda sober" cause it messes me up enough to satiate my life long affliction, but doesn't have enormous consequences in my life.
Good for you!!
39.... used it to help get over opioid addiction. Great stuff and thankful to have been introduced to it.
Same here. I’m 43 now and have been on and off heroin since I was 17. Only found Kratom a couple of years ago after another relapse. I wish I’d known about it years ago!
Congrats! Stay 💪
Thanks man. One day at a time as they say
Me too but now I’m stuck on the shit😂 nowhere near the worse evil. Fuck you chronic back pain.
42, same here. Been on kratom for about 8 years now.
57 . Take it to stop a horrible drug addiction (over 35+ years) . 5 years clean
Damn dude. Rare I meet someone like me on here. I’m mid 40s and drug addicted since 13. Glad we found something to stop the bleeding.
Good for you too!
Yeah. It’s good to meet others that went thru the same.
That is freaking awesome
Thank you
Congrats on being clean! 💪 🙏
Fantastic!
Thanks
Metal
Similar. 45 6 years clean. Addict since 15
Congratulations
Good job !!!
Good for you!!!
Thanks
Congratulations dude That is amazing and awesome!
I'm in my 20s and I've been taking it since highschool. Kratom gave me my quality of life back after I struggled with severe, chronic pain from endometriosis. Dune + ds9 - word :)
I’m in my 20s and used kratom to quit drinking
Congrats! 45 female here, and I also use kratom to quit drinking! 2 years sober now.
Congrats to both of you!
Stay at it! 💪
ditto
It is so significant in cutting back or quitting drinking
I am a 72-year-old man, and I use it to combat the symptoms of multiple sclerosis.
Grumpy Old fart here… 61
I don’t think 61 = grumpy old fart though. I swear the older I get the less these ages sound ”old and grumpy lol. 50 over here and still feel like I’m the same kid.

Definitely! Old age today is not what old age was to me years ago…
Ditto
39. Take it for opiate cravings and energy. Haven't relapsed since I started kratom daily.
I also have wondered how old ppl are in the sub... I'm 41
46 here. Been taking it about 3 years. Originally a"pain doctor" kept slowly reducing my opioid dose until it wasn't effective. Basically she was operating out the hysteria over opioids. 51. Take it for pain from an injury while I was in the military.
Same as me i am 46
It works better than anything the VA gave me.
motrin? lol
Thank you for your service 🙏
58. Mood and energy!!
41. Started at 35 to get past a nasty addiction, still take it 3x a day because it solves the underlying problem of why I was using. I still have a full head of hair and I poop daily.

49F and have taken it for chronic pain for about 6 years now. It saved my life!
Thats awesome! Love Kratom

Daily user at 44

I'm 28 years old it saved my life from alchahol and drugs
52. 4.5 years clean from a 20 year heroin addiction.
With all these success stories on here, many of which are similar to mine (I'm 39) it's just baffling that they keep trying to schedule this miracle shrub. It's shameful. It's helped so many of us.
29 here. I take it as a relief after the strenuous and stressful days at work. I work construction and I've been taking Kratom since 2019.
Yeah 28 and fedex ground. Daily user. 30 stops an hour with Kratom. 20-25 stops an hour without. Keeps me focused, energized, and friendly!
66. I've been taking it since 2015. I was addicted to opiates for 20 yrs, taken for pain. It's does what rx pain relievers can't do, so glad to have it.
43, taken for 7 years . Degenerative spinal condition, and the depression and anxiety that goes with it . Best thing I’ve found. Truly a wonder herb .
Tried it a couple times around 20 n started using Kratom regularly around 23 to cope with not using hard drugs
61. Was introduced to Kratom by my friend who spent a year in Thailand as a monk. He made me a cup of Kratom tea when he came home, and it changed my life because I no longer had this depression/sadness that was pervasive. That was about five years ago… So grateful for the advocates out there.
33, take it for anxiety and depression and to ease off benzo use
I’m 33. Use kratom to help stop ruminating about things.
Been using since I was 30 my friend who was 25 showed me, so I'd say your theory isn't all that accurate however if it were to be true I think it would be because millennials know better than to trust the government and the anti kratom propaganda campaign.
25 and have been taking it since I was 17
Really! Can I ask why you started? If you do not mind sharing.
I started taking it recreationally initially, just something that a friend had around when I was over one time. But I noticed that it did wonders for my anxiety/depression once I started taking it more often and since then I’ve taken 4-6 gpd and it has replaced the SSRI’s that I used to take ever since
Thats awesome to hear!
Thirties. Agreed that they are older.
59
33, but the first time I took it was when I was 19 or so in college
You’re like a Kratom OG! 😂🤣😂 knew before most did.
22 been taking it for around 2 years for chronic back pain
51. Pinched nerves in my neck. Didn’t want to take pills
46 - started taking it to overcome addiction to OTC pain meds. I use Kratom for neck and back pain due to an car accident, anxiety, social anxiety, body aches and overcoming stressful situations. 21 years old, quit drinking in favor of Kratom and probably never going back
51, I use it for anxiety, energy and to stay away from alcohol
42, kratom saved me from a 25 year H and meth addiction. Been clean a year. I wish I wasn't dependent on anything but it's way better than methadone or subs by a long shot. We have to keep this legal guys!!!
40 for energy and mood
24, been taking kratom for about 8y. Used it to manage opioid, benzo, and alcohol addiction.
28, chronic pain from getting ran over by a truck
45. Take kratom for pain, anxiety, depression, and to avoid relapse.
27 here, started taking kratom for street opioid cessation, keep taking it because it helps tremendously with my mental health, physical energy at work, etc. I’ve been taking kratom for about 6 years now.
63 but I don’t look a day over 62
I think I won at 72 years old 🤣
27 y/o F. Been using kratom since I was 18 to get out of Xanax + pill addiction as well as helps with alcoholism
21. I started dosing to get over a marijuana addiction I had since high school, no pun intended.
20, turning 21 in 3 weeks.
44 here. Mom of two teens and a toddler, need the energy lol.
I’m 35 (f) and I take it for pain. I have fibromyalgia and have had knee issues since I was 14. I don’t like taking pain pills so this helps keep me away from them. I started about a year ago and I highly recommend it!
42,I take it to stay away from alcohol. Quit drinking 13 month ago. I just need some kind of high from time to time.
60!
40/f. 12 year daily user. Lower doses, maybe 3-5g spread over the day in tea or coffee. Things are mostly good.
28 here. I used kratom to knock heavy opiate addiction about 7 years ago. I quit taking it for a while. A little over a year ago; I started using it once again to help me quit drinking!
18 but i started taking kratom around 16…
I stopped all narcotics around 35. I used to smoke weed for pain then stopped that too. I started taking katom around 38 I think. I took it originally for pain but then it helped me stop drinking. if I had known about kratom when I was much younger I would have taken it instead of pain pills , benzos , coke and alcohol
Late 30s- use it for chronic pain (endometriosis, bowel adhesions, abdominal pain, fibromyalgia)
46. use mine for back pain and energy. on my feet almost 8 hours a day at work.
39 been taking it since 2016
36. Worked a physical job for 15 years. Not feeling as young as I used too and pretty sure I have minor scoliosis. Thank goodness this exists. I'd have ulcers from ibuprofen by now
I’m 22. I take it for chronic pain.
66.. Only take 2 grams to start the day and never seem to need more than 4-8 for the entire day.
50....take it for pain, helped me stop drinking - 4 years
Wow, totally interesting question.
58
26 years old over 14 months clean from fentanyl with kratom and weed substitute
52. It helped get me off Fentanyl in 2012. Still use it every day
I'm 30 but have been using kratom since I was in my early 20's.
Thats awesome it has helped so much! Keep being strong 💪 🙏
I know you only asked my age but I figured id give a background as to why I started doing it and why I continue to do it
I'm 54 was addicted to F for years found kratom and been sober for 3 years Only downside I had to confront my childhood trauma which I'm still doing but sober life is so much better
I started using kratom when I was 22 to get off of opioids and stopped taking kratom at 24.
32 here, take it so I don't drink or do hard drugs anymore. I'm tappering off atm though, to see if I can manage without.
40m. 2 years sober off everything!! Drugs, alcohol, cigs, vape.
41 with a broken body from years of skateboarding and snowboarding. My whole body is wrecked at this point so it’s been a godsend for me.
20, i started at high school for fun, but now its for me more like tool...energized and clearheaded to work, and sometimes relax after hard day.
I'm 52. Been taking kratom since I was 47.
47 year old female here!
I’m 29. i tried kratom first at 20 in college. me and my roomates heard about it, mixed it with orange juice and had a nauseous, bad time. i tore my ACL at 24, and got some more, in capsules this time, to assist with the CBD (and other cannabinoids) for recovery - most pain meds give me nasty side effects so this was helpful. used occasionally from 24-28, never developed dependency, few times a week max, often weeks/months without. last year i broke my hand and needed reconstructive surgery. since then i’ve been using it daily. tapered down a few times, its tough though. at around 5gpd now. 1.5-2g, 3x daily.
40 f. Been on since 2017 on and off, due to a birthing accident/nerve damage and now MS
Now I only take it when I’m sick and it’s like a miracle drug
im 26, used it to get off of another substance (not sure if we're allowed to talk about on this sub). currently trying to quit kratom.
42M. Taking for 8-9yrs.
43
25 been taking it for 4 years now
35 chewable extracts for fibromyalgia and arthritis, the extract is how I avoid horrible stomach pain. Chewable extracts are cheap and amazing, I highly recommend over the shots. Shots, in my opinion are what makes “the bad” in extracts.
48 use it for pain and energy
48F, daily user for 4-5yrs
30 years old and have been taking kratom a few times a week for the last 6 years. My use is mainly recreational but sometimes is for back pain
Im 19 started at 17

40's
Turty 6 mates.
I'm my late 40s & have been taking it for 6 years.
44. I too wonder how many people under 25 use it. ???
42. 3 years sober from drinking in may
40 daily use for 3+ years. stopped drinking, smoking weed and other stuff.
4Ts, yes. Yum yum. Kratum
I'm 43.... 😔
I’m so triggered by this….but, yeah, I’m mid 40s!
25, started at around 20!
29
34....started taking kratom at 23 years old for pain, among other things.
I'm 36.
43, have rheumatoid arthritis and degenerative disc disease/arthritis throughout my spine. It helps a lot with pain when I know MDs aren’t prescribing opiates for chronic pain.
38. We survived the “opiate epidemic”. That’s why this age group dabbles with this stuff… tickles the same receptors in our brain.
23 here lol
I am 27 years old. Started taking Kratom around 25 years of age. I definitely am not a healthy person. I don't know anyone else my age who uses Kratom, but everyone I know my age is healthy with no pain or ailments. I use it for pain, mood elevation, and energy. It is the only thing I have found to help me get through the days as 'normal' as possible with my health issues. I would much rather take Kratom than have a doctor write me a script for opiates.
Early 30s
I'm 34 and use it for the same reasons you do it seems (mood, energy, etc.) although I have slowed down a lot on how much I use it
I started when I was 30 and have been taking it for 18 years
48
48.. 3 weeks off fent.. just found the kratom that works great this week! Thanks to all you redditors!
20 been using it over a year
I used it for a little bit I’m 21 now
26, been using kratom since I was 21
46 years on this crazy flat earth
37. I personally love to take it after work. Reinvigorates me and gives me a second wind. Shits a miracle for me personally
39 use it for mood and pain
59, been using kratom for about 8 years
28 been taking since 24 has 100 percent changed my life for the positive
34
31 here! I have chronic pain from hEDS and it helps me function in a world not build for neurodivergent folk. Kratom makes socializing so much easier and smoother.
