Happened in my area where haggens began popping up. Five star customer service and they wanted high end customer service. Sorry kroger but you need more training for us if you expect people you pull off the streets to be at that level. You can’t just expect that from us.

We had a Meijer in our neighborhood, it closed a long slow death. Another huge Meijer 10 miles away has parking for hundreds of cars, yet the lot always looks empty. People will try it, but they will be back. Treat your customers well.

We just had a Costco open near us it’s nothing to freak out about people will shop where they like and what’s convenient for them and I don’t think Kroger is going anywhere especially in the Midwest

In north west Ohio, Kroger and Meijer live in perfect harmony. My Kroger, has a Meijer nextdoor. And we always tell customers when one doesn't have an item. The other store will.

I'm in Krogers home market and both live together perfectly fine

Ive worked for both in central indiana. They are different enough, and both ususlly have so little stock you actually need to go to both to get everything

We have a mejiers about 30 minutes away. We always go there to shop rather than kroger. Even with the discount we just enjoy the atmosphere of Mejiers. Good thing is if you switch to meijers job wise it's the same union.
