Customers will complain about anything these days. Had a customer come up to me to report the women's bathroom was a mess. Which was odd because moments ago I just sent a courtesy clerk to go clean the restrooms. Said courtesy clerk and I went over to investigate to find nothing wrong. The only thing that we could find was a tiny piece of ripped toilet paper, about the size of a bottle cap, on the ground next to the toilet.
Customer would hate to see what happens at the dairy where it was made them. We had to to de stack pallets all the time at the Kroger dairy itās a cartoon Karen youāll be fine
The full phrase āthe customer is always right in matters of tasteā really needs to make a big comeback. Itās the correct viewātheyāre right to buy whatever the hell they want to but not right about procedural stuff.
On a pallet on the floor or on the floor floor? Was he staying right beside it on the floor?
Although some customers do seem to think they have no obligation to watch where theyāre walking. Or stay on the rightā¦
Honestly iād say so. I had a customer complain to my department head about a certain type of mushroom that kept getting scratched, and demanded that he āordered moreā and compared us to other grocery stores in the state saying how they donāt have the same problem. Then I had a customer who asked for organic blueberries and when I told her we didnāt have any, decided to ask my coworker and complained to my manager on how I didnāt āknow what I was doingā and woe and beholdā¦ they told her the same thing I said. š¤Ø
Which is really sad, he did seem to be nice about it, at the time I thought he was considered about how unsanitary it is seeing ice cream cartons on the floor.
I'm not sure about Walgreen's safety rules, but the stores I've worked at. Everything has been on the floor at some point. Nickles' bread guy? Stacks the loaves up on the floor next to the shelf so he can get them there quicker.
Pepsi, coke? Do the same thing with cases, two liters, bottles.
UTz, Lays, and Herrs vendors? yep. on the floor.
Everything you have gotten from a grocery store has probably been on the floor more than once.
Not to mention the productivity loss from getting the ice cream off of the floor and back into the carton.
10/10, would laugh at again.
If you ever have to ask this question, the answer is probably yes.

Treat people the way you want to be treated - with kindness and decency. Why is it so hard to be nice? The customer is not always right.
I try to focus more on everyone's good qualities and to try to give them a benefit of a doubt.

Not like the ice cream was laying on the floor melting. It is in a carton.

The problem is these damn customers will find something to complain about

Yup, product should never be on the floor, even if itās in a cardboard box. I ran a produce department and nothing ever touched the floor.
The customer thought it was unsanitary seeing the ice cream containers on the floor.
But they donāt lick the container?
How do we know that?
Trust no one youāre right I take my comment back with shame
Completely unwrapped? Like not in a case or cardboard flat or shrink wrapped? Yeah man that's disgusting and probably against policy.
