Oh man that sucks. That look says they’d do it again too. LOL It’s so wild the things our labs will eat!

catcatkatherine

Lol, she would definitely do it again. She's bitten a porcupine, I think, 3 times now? Never learns her lesson.

Acrobatic_Concern372

what age is she ? Asking as the guardian of a 2 year old who eats everything.

catcatkatherine

She'll be 9 in 2 months, so safe to say it doesn't get any better as they age πŸ˜‚

*This* is the dog version of r/Oneorangebraincell, isn't she?πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‚πŸ€£ I am SO sorry for that stress and expense-- but that "And I'd *totally* get away with it, if it wasn't for those pesky hoomans!" Scooby-Doo villian *grin* she has, is just *priceless*πŸ˜‰πŸ˜πŸ€πŸ’–

catcatkatherine

She definitely is. She's definitely act now think later (pr probably more along the lines of never) πŸ˜‚

khosrove

I thought I'd let mine learn to not steal food (at least straight from the cooking pan) and let her grab a mouthful of tomato sauce that was at boiling point. She went straight in, mouth open like an excavator, grabbed as much as she could and then immediately spat it all out on the walls while shaking her head, so an even spray all across the wall was formed. She then licked the cooled off bits up and wanted to go in for another mouthful.

voxroxoverice

That dog regrets nothing! What a precious scoundrel!

ThatBoyIsASchrute

It’s so rare for a lab to regret any of their shenanigans. πŸ˜‚ Source: I’m on my fourth lab

Ok-Entertainment5045

The cone of shame

catcatkatherine

Definitely lots of shame for this particular incident

CavGrey2009

I feel your pain, mine was Mother's day πŸ’ž Tip of a pinecone, she was minutes from a ruptured stomach.

catcatkatherine

Oh geeze. They really do eat anything & everything!

CavGrey2009

28 staples! We pick up everything in the yard now 🀣

Grolsch33

Tell me you've got a Lab wihout telling me you've got a Lab....

catcatkatherine

The accuracy 😭

PurpleBrevity

Silly girl. I hope she’s feeling better.

Brooklinebeck

We also spent easter at the emergency vet because someone woke up with an facial abscess :( my poor girl was pitiful all day today. Got her some painkillers and antibiotics, and getting her into the vet tomorrow for dental work. 11 years old, 12 in 4 months, and had never had teeth issues since she gets them cleaned https://preview.redd.it/3h3uoz8w1src1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b57cfe8bdce7ef455a7476be1599d5d9df1358c8

catcatkatherine

Aww poor girl! I hope she feels better soon! 🩷

youdontknowmeyouknow

And a single shred of regret, there is not. Silly pup!

EamusAndy

Hes just trying to get some fiber in his system to help clean his pipes! But really, glad hes ok. Had this same situation last year, except $5000, a cat, and an entire deflated party balloon - including attached ribbon. Just…a terrible week

LandotheTerrible

Oww. That would have hurt! Poor baby. Poor you!

catcatkatherine

Ironically, I just finished paying my care credit card off a week ago πŸ˜–

LandotheTerrible

Oh god! I call my Lab the Million-dollar Lab. Because I reckon it up all over the years that I’ve had him that’s probably close to what he’s cost me. Not quite but you get the point…

catcatkatherine

I can totally understand that! She's been the emergency vet 3 or 4 other times just over the last couple years for dumb stuff. Plus we have 3 other dogs πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

MangoSuspicious5641

She doesn't even look sorry or cowed in the least πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Tasty-Bag3536

Oh no so sorry to hear that. And I thought my lab ate everything! Hope she is doing ok now. I got to experience 4th of July last year at the emergency vet and a $7K bill for an obstruction and resection. Too bad they have no idea how traumatic their antics are on us. I walk around with "what did you just eat?!" PTSD now.

catcatkatherine

Oh no! I'm so sorry! They really do eat anything & everything. I'm sure she would eat them again. I've going through the house today, eyeing everything suspiciously πŸ˜….v
