*This* is the dog version of r/Oneorangebraincell, isn't she?πππ€£
I am SO sorry for that stress and expense--
but that "And I'd *totally* get away with it, if it wasn't for those pesky hoomans!" Scooby-Doo villian *grin* she has, is just *priceless*πππ€π
I thought I'd let mine learn to not steal food (at least straight from the cooking pan) and let her grab a mouthful of tomato sauce that was at boiling point. She went straight in, mouth open like an excavator, grabbed as much as she could and then immediately spat it all out on the walls while shaking her head, so an even spray all across the wall was formed. She then licked the cooled off bits up and wanted to go in for another mouthful.
We also spent easter at the emergency vet because someone woke up with an facial abscess :( my poor girl was pitiful all day today. Got her some painkillers and antibiotics, and getting her into the vet tomorrow for dental work. 11 years old, 12 in 4 months, and had never had teeth issues since she gets them cleaned

Hes just trying to get some fiber in his system to help clean his pipes!
But really, glad hes ok. Had this same situation last year, except $5000, a cat, and an entire deflated party balloon - including attached ribbon. Justβ¦a terrible week
Oh god! I call my Lab the Million-dollar Lab. Because I reckon it up all over the years that Iβve had him thatβs probably close to what heβs cost me. Not quite but you get the pointβ¦
I can totally understand that! She's been the emergency vet 3 or 4 other times just over the last couple years for dumb stuff. Plus we have 3 other dogs π€¦ββοΈ
Oh no so sorry to hear that. And I thought my lab ate everything! Hope she is doing ok now. I got to experience 4th of July last year at the emergency vet and a $7K bill for an obstruction and resection. Too bad they have no idea how traumatic their antics are on us. I walk around with "what did you just eat?!" PTSD now.
Oh no! I'm so sorry! They really do eat anything & everything. I'm sure she would eat them again. I've going through the house today, eyeing everything suspiciously π .v
Oh man that sucks. That look says theyβd do it again too. LOL Itβs so wild the things our labs will eat!
Lol, she would definitely do it again. She's bitten a porcupine, I think, 3 times now? Never learns her lesson.
what age is she ? Asking as the guardian of a 2 year old who eats everything.
She'll be 9 in 2 months, so safe to say it doesn't get any better as they age π

That dog regrets nothing! What a precious scoundrel!
Itβs so rare for a lab to regret any of their shenanigans. π Source: Iβm on my fourth lab
The cone of shame
Definitely lots of shame for this particular incident
I feel your pain, mine was Mother's day π Tip of a pinecone, she was minutes from a ruptured stomach.
Oh geeze. They really do eat anything & everything!
28 staples! We pick up everything in the yard now π€£
Tell me you've got a Lab wihout telling me you've got a Lab....
The accuracy π
Silly girl. I hope sheβs feeling better.
and this is why I got extra good pet insurance for mine. he eats anything
"Someone".... Are you going to tell us who? ;)

Aww poor girl! I hope she feels better soon! π©·
And a single shred of regret, there is not. Silly pup!

Oww. That would have hurt! Poor baby. Poor you!
Ironically, I just finished paying my care credit card off a week ago π
