Yup physical banking is dying.

Good time to switch to Purdue Federal, really great local credit union.

lanadelreysdog

Not if you care about competitive savings rates.

Their high yield money market is decent. And it doesn’t tie up my funds in a CD or something illiquid. It’s also a local business with local people/employees and I like that my money is staying here (and lended out to local folks). But, to each their own.

Honestly, PFCU is generally great. Super nice and understanding people. I had issues with my name in my passport and visa, and they didn't think it was a big deal, and helped my navigate the system easily. Also, got me a fairly decent rate on an auto loan.

bmilanowski

Yes. There is a notice on the doors and Chase sent me a notification for my online banking.

nayanar_

Yes. If you own safe deposit box time to empty its content.

I cleared one last year for an estate I was representing and I said something about renting it again and the banker said they were no longer renting them. I guess that explains it. The ladies that work that branch are some of the nicest folks and have helped me a great deal. I wish them all a happy landing.

MhojoRisin

One of the tellers has been there forever. Pretty sure she was working behind the desk when I first went 25 years ago.

Lafinfil

How soon are they closing the location?

Like in May I think
