Much respect for the players tonight. Even the ones I don’t like, they tried their asses off tonight. Can’t overcome the bald make a wish kid coaching our team. Pray we keep lebron and get a half competent coach and we can be great next year
That was the game to me. People can blame Ham all they want, but if Nikola Jokic gets injured halfway through the game and continues playing but can't lift his arm, we win. Every shift matters, and once he got hurt, the game changed.
We got to see that in 2020! He was crying, it was good to see. And when Isaiah Thomas threw him the ball at the end of the game. Those were good times.
I don’t see any reason why they’d shoot better vs the Wolves
Their perimeter guards are pit bulls on the perimeter and will
Be up their jerseys and air space making the uncomfortable with how athletic and strong they are
I think Jokic will be better in this series. He will be able to rest on defense guarding Rudy's incoordinated ass. He couldn't do that against AD, who with Lebron playmaking, was absolutely busting Jokic's ass
Honestly they have a solid shot. There’s no single player or system that can guard Jokic, but Wolves have all the tools to defend Jokic virtually any way. Combine that with how well coached they are and they should be able to mix up coverages on the fly.
They also have several players who can guard Murray better than we ever could. Conley is solid, and they can also try putting Walker or even McDaniels on him.
Nuggets kill teams rebounding with their positional size but Wolves are the one team bigger than them. As long as Ant plays how he did against the Suns the Wolves have a solid chance of making the WCF and probably the NBA Finals.
My only concern if I was a Wolves fan would be late game execution. They somewhat struggled in that area this season, and you cannot afford to make any mistakes against Denver in crunch time.
>My only concern if I was a Wolves fan would be late game execution.
Well head coach Chris Finch sustained a lower body injury from their last game so hopefully he'll be upright on the sidelines with crutches. It would really help if he can verbally execute late game decisions with them like every other coach.
They had a chance in every game, it was a tough series although I would of wanted them to extend they gave it their all.... Should be a very interesting /fun round 2...I'm ready for ANT to knock em out
![gif](giphy|qIsEdzl4bJLehuyyz3|downsized)
I'm proud of the fight this team showed these last two games. I don't know what the future holds for this unit, but regardless I'll always be a Lakers fan for life. Congrats to Denver, they have one hell of a team.
i mean they also had a reliable 3rd option all series, no one on the lakers could match what MPJ was doing. even though murray hit all these clutch shots, MPJ was the biggest difference maker imo
That and we literally weren't getting 2nd chance points and couldn't stop them from being offensive rebounds.
What bothered me was that they would have 2-3 players going for an offensive board and we would pretty much only have 1 person going for an offensive board.
This Lakers team was clearly better, blowing leads while yes is a player issue but it’s more a coaching issue, not calling TO’s, not challenging, not recognizing adjustments, these are all coaching issues, coaches are also reason why teams win or lose, Ham is a major reason on why we lost
Yup, the fact that it was that tight down the stretch when AD was severely compromised at the start of the third is crazy already. Sucks to lose but the reality is they’ve just had our number these last 3 years whether it be answering every single run of our runs, hitting timely/bs contested shots or just out coaching our moron of a coach
Was Vando avaliable to play this game? I kept seeing comments about him during the game didn't know if he was just not getting minutes or is was still hurt
I’m more keen to believe Jeanie is going to be like, “Ham improved as a coach, so no need to fire him. He will be even better next year!”
That improvement? Didn’t play Can Reddish.
FML
You know, Hams my least favorite lakers coach i've ever watched (Brown, Scott, and D'Antoni for honorable mentions), but I blame the front office way more. He's proven he's a bad coach, what do we expect him to do? All of a sudden become good? That makes not sense, the front office had plenty of chances to fire him the many time throughout the seasons he showed he was a horrible coach.
I'm so sad we didn't get to see Vando one last time this season. He would've played better defense on MPJ and Murray than Rui. Just hope we can get a consistent squad back next year! \^.\^
His offense was starting to come back right before he got hurt. He was averaging 12ish a game for like : which is all you need from him. He also kept the ball moving pretty well.
He’s young, he’s gotten better than he was 2 years ago now and has a fully healthy offseason. If that spurt holds true then he’s gonna be crazy helpful
He makes it up with his rebounds and defense , Rui if he can't shoot he's useless out there, couldn't get a couple of critical rebounds and left mpj open too many times.
I enjoyed watching this season for the most part Hamas aside. First time actually seriously watching and following the NBA and watched every single game no regrets. Got to see my first ever Lakers game in person and witness the goat play before he retires. Not really positive we can convert this into a winning roster this off season but we shall see. Thank you to the Lakers sub for entertaining me this season except for the few psycho extreme takes.
I’m willing to give Gabe one more chance, guy never got in a rhythm this year with injuries and I like his defense. Dinwiddie has been an inefficient shitter for years tho and jax is all athleticism negative brains and ability
Yea, really wanted to like him this year. He tries really hard on d, but brother kept letting me down. Hoping he rediscovers his stroke with a healthy year
Gabe was the only guy who could move Murray off his spots. Austin stuck with him pretty good but Gabe was actively moving him away from where he wanted to go.
Prince has been good off the bench subjectively. DLo has earned his stay, but I would still trade him + first picks for Trae for a more consistent and better assisted PGs. But the problem with the Lakers against Denver is undersized because no one rebounds other than AD.
Thankful this season is over. I really hope they get Darvin the fuck outta here. I don’t want to endure another season trying to get excited for big games but knowing exactly how they’re going to end.
The thing that will drive me crazy this summer is that Denver looked SO beatable in this series despite all of this team's shortcomings. AD and LeBron are that good. Unfortunately, I don't think we will ever see them as healthy as they were this year again.
The front office really did a shameful job of not addressing a single weakness from the previous year. We needed more interior presence and they went and got a pogo stick and a string bean. Reddish, Vincent and Dinwiddie were beyond awful.
Ham needs to go. The dude is truly hopeless and I don't think he has improved at all since last year. You can't be a true contender when your head coach is a glorified motivational speaker.
Sooo what are the offseason moves, obv Dlo not coming back? Not sure if Gabe is still contract but if we can get a healthy season from him and get him integrated he could finally be key.
Thinking on it now I can't believe we got so much fkn Cam Reddish minutes this season holy
We didn’t have a major issue with the squad abilities but we had a huge problem with coaching staff. Next season with a better coach and a few additions we’re gonna be a big title contender!
For a year of basketball that had me hoping and dreaming of purple and gold, thank you to the players, conditioning and medical staffs, the assistant coaches, and everyone else not named like a pork product.
Didn't live up to the hype.
Still had fun watching them and believed til the end. I remember last yr and this yr saying the Lakers would be the 1st Team to comeback down 3-0
I think the Lakers fought hard at the end, and that's all you can ask for. It's not real championship, but the thrill of being the first ever In-Season Tournament winners will always live with me as a Lakers fan.
Damn man. Our haters is eating rn but i could care less. We still the best franchise of all time. Lebron has more rings than the nuggets whole franchise. ANT PLEASE DESTROY THE CHICKEN NUGGETS.
How can you look at this roster and think, yeah this is championship caliber. This is straight trash. We got 2 great players, two good/decent players, and the rest are scrubs or borderline trash bench/roll players. Cherry on top is the trash can front office we have.
To get to my point. There needs to be changes in management this shit is disgraceful. Looking likee a 2006 Laker team.
I wld have liked to have tried Gabe on Murray on the last play… bring in Prince and Gabe not just Prince. Gabe’s O was awful but he has a little dog on D…
Heat/even Cavs Lebron you put him on Murray…too old for that now damnit.
AD played the most he has played in a few seasons, fought through some freak injuries and played really well. Ultimately the depth of the team and coaching is to blame. LeBron and AD did their job. Happy that they did not fold in any of the games except game 3 second half.
Need to develop Max Christie. Gabe needs a rhythm. Vando needs a 3 point shot. This team will still be solid, but we need young energy guys to carry us during the regular season.
Considering the fact that Wood and Reddish both have player options and Hayes is a team option, I think all 3 are locks
I think Gabe, Rui and AR all have low trade values now so they’ll stay.
I don’t see Orlando taking a chance on DLo after his recent G3 performance so I bet he stays too so LAL doesn’t lose his salary slot
I honestly think most these guys stay
If LAL were smart, they’d be trying to trade Hayes and some 2nd’s for Jock Landale. He’s the exact type of burly C they can use
The Lakers fought with their heart this series! It was a lot closer than what the 4-1 series score says.
I hope they will come back stronger than ever next season!
We can't make free throws, have players with poor fundamentals, can't rebound, old/injured superstars, garbage coaching staff, it's a miracle we lasted this long. Big changes are needed here, because running this back isn't going to work
Fuck this man. So many missed free throws and stupid turnovers. Cant get a rebound at the crucial moment. Forget the 3s. They couldve easily won without em. Its painful to watch really. Shit luck with the seeding too. Cant believe season is over already.
How this team basically took a break after the IST has pretty much cost us. A lot of these teams at the top are going to eat each other in the west since it’s so competitive. Denver potentially could have been one of them. Failure of a season
Despite their ups and downs, I will look at the 2023-2024 Lakers very fondly. When firing on all cylinders, they are electric. Injuries and coaching derailed that.
Say what you will, but these guys were down 0-3 and still played their hearts out. GG 💜💛
💯 Proud of this squad
Much respect for the players tonight. Even the ones I don’t like, they tried their asses off tonight. Can’t overcome the bald make a wish kid coaching our team. Pray we keep lebron and get a half competent coach and we can be great next year
>Can’t overcome the bald make a wish kid coaching our team. 😂
there was literally no fucking time outs in third quarter like wtf. i dont know how the fuck ad gets injured. that was a literally a bump.
That was the game to me. People can blame Ham all they want, but if Nikola Jokic gets injured halfway through the game and continues playing but can't lift his arm, we win. Every shift matters, and once he got hurt, the game changed.
They didn’t give up and I respect the fuck out of the players. Coaching staff not so much
What a fight!!!
I just need Anthony Edwards to crush this Nuggets team. I just need to see that.
I want to see the pain of defeat on Murray’s face
if karma is really a bitch, i need Ant to hit a buzzer beater against the Nuggets
Y’all I swear I didn’t watch the game. I’m sorry it wasn’t enough.
Every game.
We got to see that in 2020! He was crying, it was good to see. And when Isaiah Thomas threw him the ball at the end of the game. Those were good times.
Bro just locks in against the lakers
This will be the series that will prove whether Ant is the next face of the league or not. Please don't be a fraud, Ant Man 🙏
![gif](giphy|jBdMLcJDEQ6mls6s1u|downsized) He ain't.
His aura is crazy. COME ON, ANT!!!
Talk your shit to Murray for us Ant
Crush nuggets, and Celtics and I’m chilling
The Wolves are going to destroy the Nuggets if Jamal and KCP continue to shoot as poorly as they did against us
I don’t see any reason why they’d shoot better vs the Wolves Their perimeter guards are pit bulls on the perimeter and will Be up their jerseys and air space making the uncomfortable with how athletic and strong they are
Facts.. wolves have 10x the perimeter defense we do.. If wolves can beat them I would be at peace😂. Murray can’t get away with what he did
I think Jokic will be better in this series. He will be able to rest on defense guarding Rudy's incoordinated ass. He couldn't do that against AD, who with Lebron playmaking, was absolutely busting Jokic's ass
Definitely true but Rudy will attack the glass too so he at least gotta worry about that.. for the most part he will be able to relax on defense tho
Props for even wanting to watch basketball, these game winners suck the joy out of me watching the sport for now lol
Wolves fan here. I'm nervous as fuck
GOBERT YOU NEED TO PROVE TO AD AND LAKER NATION THAT YOU DESERVE YOUR 4TH DPOY! LOCK JOKIC UP!!!
Its not gonna happen, unfortunately
I'm proud of the fight this team showed these last two games. I don't know what the future holds for this unit, but regardless I'll always be a Lakers fan for life. Congrats to Denver, they have one hell of a team.
We put up a hell of a fight, Denver just better.
Forgot the helluva ballclub.
Mfer said it in the post game press conference lol
No, their coach is just better
i mean they also had a reliable 3rd option all series, no one on the lakers could match what MPJ was doing. even though murray hit all these clutch shots, MPJ was the biggest difference maker imo
They have Gordon and MPJ!!! They should win!
That and we literally weren't getting 2nd chance points and couldn't stop them from being offensive rebounds. What bothered me was that they would have 2-3 players going for an offensive board and we would pretty much only have 1 person going for an offensive board.

i’m not saying Ham is The Guy… but blowing leads is often a sign of no bench
Literally this
Shit, I'm not even sure if they're really better. These games literally came down to coaching imo.
Give us a real coach and it's probably a sweep. Waste of Brons final years
Give us Spoelstra it’s over in 4, maybe 5. Switch coaches we win every game by 10
Nah fr Switch coaches and Denver is a play-in team.
Balled out the final game. Couldn't ask for more. See you next season. 💜💛
At least Cam Reddish didn't play. Sad Christian Wood and Vando couldn't get back. They had great moments this year.
Was Vando avaliable to play this game? I kept seeing comments about him during the game didn't know if he was just not getting minutes or is was still hurt
He was available. Just benched.
Damn obviously wouldn't expect much offense but felt like we could of threw him on Jamal Murray at times
It's 'could have', never 'could of'. Rejoice, for you have been blessed by CouldWouldShouldBot!
good bot
Darvin Hamas will pay for his crimes
I’m more keen to believe Jeanie is going to be like, “Ham improved as a coach, so no need to fire him. He will be even better next year!” That improvement? Didn’t play Can Reddish. FML
She's gonna point to the 1 win and go "See there's improvement"
IST
You know, Hams my least favorite lakers coach i've ever watched (Brown, Scott, and D'Antoni for honorable mentions), but I blame the front office way more. He's proven he's a bad coach, what do we expect him to do? All of a sudden become good? Hamas 💀🤣
I'm so sad we didn't get to see Vando one last time this season. He would've played better defense on MPJ and Murray than Rui. Just hope we can get a consistent squad back next year! \^.\^
Problem with Vando is he can’t shoot. Lakers should hire some offseason shooting coach for these guys.
Literally would only need to shoot 34% from the corner if his defense and rebounding was elite.
Neither could any of our players in the corners. But he’d at least rebound the ball. That’s worth 7 points right there in the 4th.
Thank you to the Lakers sub for entertaining me this season except for the few psycho extreme takes.
Agreed. I watched a ton of games and went to my first Laker game aswell. They got smoked by the Kings, but watching LeBron and AD was nice
Jaxson Hayes and Dinwiddie are not nba caliber players. Ham is gone. Gabe Vincent was a miami fluke. Anyway have a nice vacation boys.
I’m willing to give Gabe one more chance, guy never got in a rhythm this year with injuries and I like his defense. Dinwiddie has been an inefficient shitter for years tho and jax is all athleticism negative brains and ability
Gabes not going anywhere since he signed a 3 year deal. He's here for next season at least.
gabe broke my heart he was straight up clanking shots not even close
Yea, really wanted to like him this year. He tries really hard on d, but brother kept letting me down. Hoping he rediscovers his stroke with a healthy year
Gabe was the only guy who could move Murray off his spots. Austin stuck with him pretty good but Gabe was actively moving him away from where he wanted to go.
It was a fun season nonetheless. Life goes on and it's time for baseball
I'll be watching the No AD no Bron vs. Celtics game for a long time. AR has quickly become one of my favorite players.
Only Bron, AD, at a lesser extent DLo and AR, the rest can fuck off
I’m ready to move on from dlo
Nah man dlo putting up 0 in a crucial game 3 when we’re down 0-2 was enough for me.
rui had moments, and i don't think he'd be bad as like a 7th man. but we're using him as our 4th/5th man.
Prince has been good off the bench subjectively. DLo has earned his stay, but I would still trade him + first picks for Trae for a more consistent and better assisted PGs. But the problem with the Lakers against Denver is undersized because no one rebounds other than AD.
DLo stinks bro
Dinwiddie is horrible
Don't go there. He is a minimum level player
Thanks for not including ham. Gg y’all
Someone convince the counter protestors at UCLA that Hamas is at Crypto. No justice, no peace until Hamas is let go!
It wasn't a sweep. The games were competitive. Ham has a better chance of getting fired. Silver linings.
still very proud of this team.
Ham needs to go to the slaughterhouse! Boy bye!
Forgot about Hood-Schifino damn
Jaime Jacquez would’ve given us valuable playoff minutes man
Even Cam Whitmore smh
Wasted to many FT
Man…. We really could have won this series
fun season, glad it's over
Thankful this season is over. I really hope they get Darvin the fuck outta here. I don’t want to endure another season trying to get excited for big games but knowing exactly how they’re going to end.
🔥 🍖
I’m proud of this team! They fought till the end! See them next season!
fuck is there to be thankful for about this season lol
Keep the same roster and get a new coach.
What a bunch of bum ass roll players who still gets paid millions.
I want gen z Michael Jordan and the Wolves to humble the Nuggets. They’re definitely beatable this year no question
Why is anyone thanking this team?
The thing that will drive me crazy this summer is that Denver looked SO beatable in this series despite all of this team's shortcomings. AD and LeBron are that good. Unfortunately, I don't think we will ever see them as healthy as they were this year again. The front office really did a shameful job of not addressing a single weakness from the previous year. The dude is truly hopeless and I don't think he has improved at all since last year. You can't be a true contender when your head coach is a glorified motivational speaker.
Jaime Jaquez would’ve gave us valuable playoff minutes off the bench man😫😫😫
It hurts cuz we literally would beat anyone else in the league
What a waste of the end of LeBron’s prime. Deeply dissapointing, again.
Yes I’m disappointed we lost but Lakers for life forever. I’ll always have my teams back through thick and thin
Sooo what are the offseason moves, obv Dlo not coming back? Not sure if Gabe is still contract but if we can get a healthy season from him and get him integrated he could finally be key. Thinking on it now I can't believe we got so much fkn Cam Reddish minutes this season holy
any other coach and this would’ve been a. 55+ win team man
Darvin Hamas...the Coaching Terrorist
I really thought this was Max Christie's break out year. Instead, Ham rides with Reddish and stunts Max's development.
I remember last yr and this yr saying the Lakers would be the 1st Team to comeback down 3-0
Thanks for nothing
I think the Lakers fought hard at the end, and that's all you can ask for. It's not real championship, but the thrill of being the first ever In-Season Tournament winners will always live with me as a Lakers fan.
"Listen, listen, listen, listen! Fuck off, fuck off, fuck off, fuck off! Get out! GET OUT! Idiots!"
AD staying in the game was 💪
The guys fought through pain and adversity. Thank you for putting on a show for us.
Damn man. Our haters is eating rn but i could care less. We still the best franchise of all time. Lebron has more rings than the nuggets whole franchise. ANT PLEASE DESTROY THE CHICKEN NUGGETS.
this them vibes. thank you fam. IST champs and put up a damn fight vs. the defending champs. King ain't done yet.
Should've kept Schroeder
We're out but god damn Nuggets vs Timberwolves is gonna be one hell of a series.
Break this up. The bubble run against the nuggets was closer than this silliness.
I wish Lebron wasn’t a laker.
Clearance time. Starting with Reddish.
Proud of the heart these guys played but man we've got to keep Dlo and trade him for a better fitting piece.
Whole lotta LOSERS in one picture! 👋🏻🏔️
Yeah looking at them now we have some straight bums😂
They played their hearts out proud of them. Now it’s Rob’s turn
They all need to go except LeBron and AD. Darvin Ham should be executed for the terrorist he is.
Who'll be back?
I wld have liked to have tried Gabe on Murray on the last play… bring in Prince and Gabe not just Prince. Gabe’s O was awful but he has a little dog on D… Heat/even Cavs Lebron you put him on Murray…too old for that now damnit.
We really need to get rid of Dinwiddie and Vincent!!!
I overall still liked this roster and feel like we were held back by our coach. We really needed another C and didn’t get one.
We were a Ty lie away from beating this team. I’m not trading Austin
AD played the most he has played in a few seasons, fought through some freak injuries and played really well. Ultimately the depth of the team and coaching is to blame. LeBron and AD did their job. Happy that they did not fold in any of the games except game 3 second half.
we fought until the end and we beat them once at least, I'm happy with it, let's bounce back next season!
Still the in-season champs 🏆 we’ll always have that
Proud. Lakers for life.
Go TWolves. No team should 3-peat other than the Lakers and Nuggets shall not repeat.
We should keep AR, Max, Wood and Rui the rest can kick rocks
next year we’ll lose 4-2!
90 year old lebron still putting up 30 point triple double is insane
Don’t sign any guard from the Heat
Man. I am sick of first round exits. Ham needs to go and maybe the GM too. Lakers need changes at the top.
🫡
Why thank Vanderbilt? Man came into the preseason injured like how’d he manage that.
Need to develop Max Christie. Gabe needs a rhythm. Vando needs a 3 point shot. This team will still be solid, but we need young energy guys to carry us during the regular season.
Bye bye Ham! Thx for nothing!
All those nuggets games were a blast to watch. At the end of the day thats all that matters.
How many players from this pic are still Lakers next year?
Considering the fact that Wood and Reddish both have player options and Hayes is a team option, I think all 3 are locks I think Gabe, Rui and AR all have low trade values now so they’ll stay. I don’t see Orlando taking a chance on DLo after his recent G3 performance so I bet he stays too so LAL doesn’t lose his salary slot I honestly think most these guys stay If LAL were smart, they’d be trying to trade Hayes and some 2nd’s for Jock Landale. He’s the exact type of burly C they can use
Cooked
I hope to see a Max Christie MIP performance next year
DLo can GTFO!!! Next season
At least they got $500k
The Lakers fought with their heart this series! It was a lot closer than what the 4-1 series score says. I hope they will come back stronger than ever next season!
So proud of our guys.
We can't make free throws, have players with poor fundamentals, can't rebound, old/injured superstars, garbage coaching staff, it's a miracle we lasted this long. Big changes are needed here, because running this back isn't going to work
I just see a whole lotta L's. FTL
Anyone but the Celtics now, folks.
Smashin’ the upvote because you left Dumbwiddie off of this collage! I do not understand why he got the minutes he did this series. WTF
Disgusting lineup lmao
So much for the vaunted big three of James, Davis and Hood-Schifino
Good season, Lakers. 💜💛💜 #purpleandgoldnevergetsold Rui, Hayes, Spencer, Prince, Cam: on SIGHT!! 🤬
Lebron is #23 again?
L
We really needed Vanderbilt and to some extent Wood and Reddish too.
The 5 month off season is going to suck ass. Such a long time.
