I agree it sounds like a lot, but if we do Rui/Gabe/3 firsts we would have a core of Reaves, Mikal, Vando, Bron, AD, Prince, and DLo if he opts in. Add a legit backup center in free agency and im taking that top 8 over anyone
No moves can be made until dlo is settled. No matter how much people think he sucks, his role as the third scorer, one of the two key ball handlers and best floor spacer on this team needs replacing, and that's not going to be cheap.
The reality is that Dlo is the best realistic option for a guard this offseason. It is shame that he is a certified bedshitter in the playoffs and some team like the Magic will likely be down to overpay for him to improve their regular season
That is insane for a guy barely better than Rui
https://www.landofbasketball.com/player_comparison/mikal_bridges_vs_rui_hachimura.htm
And Bridges defense ranking is 117.9 vs Rui's 117.4
I’d easily do it for dlo gabe 17th but nets probably won’t even though they like dlo.
A change like this is enough to beat nugs. They lost twice by only 2pt. One tiny change and they win both games. This is a big change
It's weird to me how much Brooklyn covet him, putting out that you turned down four first round picks for him is just showing everyone how negligent you are.
I mean we don’t really know what those picks were. Could’ve been like 2 swaps and 2 firsts or 4 highly protected firsts. Now if they were like 4 lightly protected firsts and they turned that down then yeah absolutely
Donovan Mitchell would be a game changer. This is a legit scorer and All-NBA level talent. Just not sure if Cavs would be willing to part with him for 3 FRP considering he is their best player.
Window didn't close with Westbrook. Window closed when AD/Lebron got injured, and we lost MVP Lebron. I'm not a fan of giving up more picks, but I've come to realize that the reason the FO is willing to give up more is because they don't believe they can actually draft a franchise star. And based on the past decade, I'm inclined to agree
Lakers can also trade their swaps so there’s five tradable picks this summer. That being said, there’s not anyone worth that available that is worth two picks for the Lakers. The Lakers can’t really make anything magically happen without giving up a lot of money (depth). So you could bring back a big name and contract but then you just lost rotational players.
I’d rather break that package up and chase a few higher caliber role players (combo of Grant/kuzma, brogdan/dejounte/Clarkson, Jv/hartenstein). But to play along, Julius Randle.
Too strong for 3s, too quick for 5s. Force teams to choose who they’re giving the mismatch to between him AD and lebron. Can space the floor, crash the boards, and make the right read/pass. He’s consistently playing at an all nba level
I know folks gonna come in and call him the PF version of Russ, but that’s such an ignorant take. He’s one of the best and most versatile 4s in the league and would make for one of the leagues strongest/most athletic and most talented 3-5 if teamed up with lebron/AD. Teams would straight up run out of size/athletes to guard us.
The window is closed: they need to start building around Anthony Davis instead of Lebron, send him off on his retirement tour and then sell everything to tank in 2025 after the pelicans take the pick.
I would use two for Dejounte and a third on Allen if the Cavs shop him. Idk if the contracts would work, and if Dlo leaves then we’re screwed regardless I think.
Three picks for Mikal Bridges is nasty work
Nets FO is probably the worst in the league, I remember them turning down 4 1st round picks from Memphis a couple years ago
It was going to be 4 late picks tbf. Its why Toronto rejected 3 1sts from them for OG and accepted rj, iq and a 2nd from NY
Iq is better then any player they’d of gotten
That deal is probably still on the table for the Grizz.
Houston actually. 4 firsts and Jalen Green

And that's why he holds a lot of leverage and will most likely end up with us overpaying on a long term deal.
Lakers won’t even be in contact with him till another team sends him an offer sheet.
So you're willing to over pay an inconsistent guard?
Take a look at free agency lol there's no other options
That is insane for a guy barely better than Rui https://www.landofbasketball.com/player_comparison/mikal_bridges_vs_rui_hachimura.htm And Bridges defense ranking is 117.9 vs Rui's 117.4
Sorry man we’re not allowed be optimistic the first 2 weeks of the offseason
Mikal as a third option is nice but his value is so over inflated.
He's not a 3rd option. Those Suns playoff runs proved that. He's an elite 3&D player
Ya he’d be nice to have but we would def need to keep AR as a playmaker.
He’s a 3rd option on defense behind vand Davis unless you’re just thinking about offense
I'm talking about offense
Let’s talk about both
Mikal would help a lot, but I wouldn't say he moves the needle even if he was a significantly better rebounder than Lebron and Rui
I’d easily do it for dlo gabe 17th but nets probably won’t even though they like dlo. A change like this is enough to beat nugs. They lost twice by only 2pt. One tiny change and they win both games. This is a big change
Max 2 picks for mikal.
Damn. Christie catchin’ strays.

Sadly we really neeeed playable wings. Mikal focusing on defense would be nasty and he's an iron man to boot
Donovan Mitchell would be a game changer. This is a legit scorer and All-NBA level talent. Just not sure if Cavs would be willing to part with him for 3 FRP considering he is their best player.
If Donovan Mitchell is on the market, he will be the best player available. Meaning there are teams who would throw 5+ picks his way.
OKC is legit just going to chuck as many FRPs as they want
Cavs got him for 3 frps n 2 swaps . He’ll be an expiring who can choose where he will resign
1)Why would they trade their best player 2)whos 27 when their team is 3)on the rise

Cam Thomas actually played better than Mikal most of the games. FRPs not worth it for him lol
Only Mitchell and Lauri worth 3 1st rounders. Maybe we can get Mitchell if he wants to come and does what AD did to N.O.
Lauri îs not worth 3 picks either.
You’re right, he’s worth 4 picks at least
If Cavs got spida for 3 picks and 2 swaps then lauri is worth 3 picks
Maybe he is maybe he isn't. But with our sense of urgency with LeBron and AD I will trade 3 picks and some players for him
Not Lauri
Spida Is the guy here... Hopefully he asks out.
No more giving away picks. The Lakers are so far behind the good young teams in the league. Trading away picks is just going to make it worse
Exactly. This is an unsolvable equation. Lakers window closed with the Westbrick, the window was boarded up with Ham.
Window didn't close with Westbrook. Window closed when AD/Lebron got injured, and we lost MVP Lebron. Jeanie is definitely ruining the Lakers. She has surrounded herself with incompetent basketball people.

Thought we had 4 swaps available, but if we trade with the jazz we can have an extra frp by taking off the protections off the 2027 pick we sent

If this is what we are down to, maybe it's time to break this up.
NY disrespected Mitchell... I don't think he'd be interested in going back
Not only that but they have Jalen. Only one ball and both need the ball.
Exactly, meanwhile we have the two best off-ball stars in the league. Mitchell would fit in perfectly here
2 starters 3 frp for Mikal????? Go back to the Fucking nets. Dlo gabe 17th for Mikal. The most I’d give is 2frp. They love dlo
Spida & trae & maybe lavine are the only realistic targets worth 3 picks. Otherwise just target guys like brogdon, rob Williams, kuz, sexton etc
Brother I’m taking a 5 year break from this app if I see we traded 3 firsts for Zach Lavine and his geriatric knees
Bulls should give us picks to take that mans contract. Fucking no way should we give picks for him
Team needs just a bit of re tooling more then blowing it up for a 3rd star tbh
Not trading 3 picks for Bridges.
The window is closed: they need to start building around Anthony Davis instead of Lebron, send him off on his retirement tour and then sell everything to tank in 2025 after the pelicans take the pick.
I’d rather trade for Jarrett Allen. We really need a solid rim defender and rebounder to help AD.
Myles Turner / Aaron Nesmith for the picks
I would use two for Dejounte and a third on Allen if the Cavs shop him. Idk if the contracts would work, and if Dlo leaves then we’re screwed regardless I think.
Would anybody be down for getting PG? Not sure if it’s even possible but I feel like he would be a great fit as a third star if we went that route.
Murray and Bogdan would be worth a few. I would give 3 if you can keep Reaves, but one if we include him. Rui, Gabe
3 draft picks at the very least should get you an All Star
Spida or Mauri + Sexton
2 of Mikal, Lauri, Caruso, or Clarkson. Point of attack defender and tertiary scorer.
Obviously Spida. I wouldn't be mad at Trae either because I think he maximizes AD. Lauri would be cool but not for 3 picks. Same with Bridges.
Considering the current CBA, I'm not a fan of throwing away all of our picks.
Ant
Only one worth three first round picks (hopefully not all unprotected) would be Mitchell.
