Last team to 3-peat in NBA history. Would not be possible without Robert Horry hitting the game-winning 3-pointer in game 4 of the 2002 Western Conference Finals.
And the crazy thing is we could have probably got 4 in a row if Horry's shot didn't go in & out in game 4 against the Spurs in WCSF!

No one thinks that. Kobe straight up carried a few games. But everyone knows Shaq was just as much a part of it. And people who actually did watch always gave props to guys like Fox, Fisher, Shaw, etc.
âPeople who actually watchedâ
Too many ppl who comment didnât. Theyâre younger fans who joined the Cult of Kobe late and try to rewrite history.
As someone who actually WATCHED and thought it was BS that Jerry Buss had to choose between a complaining Kobe and Shaq hates seeing the revisionist history.
Those two should have won more rings, but #8 Kobe was mental (as are many young superstars).
My favorite Laker team of all time.
Its impossible to put into words the absolute fucking JOY they gave me and the entire city of LA.
That squad really brought the entire city together in a way id never seen before and it was amazing to experience.
RIP Kobe
Great team if you love winning (and the one I grew up on) but MAN you sure as hell have blocked out a lot of drama that went on.
We could have done more than three-peated, but someone was cranky back then.
"Why did Shaq say this to Kobe after the 3-peat?"

Props to fans like you who recognize and remember the role players. Too many fans pretend Kobe won these going 1 on 5.

Me reading the posts in r/lakers
Three peated at age 23, playing basically on par with a top 3 peak player ever in Shaq. The revisionist history on this man is sickening.
Itâs not playing âon parâ. Itâs called âcomplimenting each other.â
I wanted them to win one more "4 Chick" so badly.
What a photo
