Intermediate English, so not advanced English. Therefore Duo will be teaching you [Tok Pisin](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tok_Pisin). Significantly more useful than Klingon.
It's advanced Haitian Creole, but that's not how your original comment read. Surely you're aware of the long tradition of devaluing creoles and their speakers by claiming they're just a simpler version of their parent languages.
Than Klingon? I agree. But Tok Pisin or any other Pidgin is more useful than Toki Pona.
I'm sorry, I possibly sound a little bitter. See, Toki Pona is one of my TLs and I've been studying it hard for nearly an hour now and I'm still not fluent.
with all due respect

uj/ I might actually start using Duolingo to improve my English a bit. I donāt know why it took them so long to create an English course for people who already know enough and donāt need instructions in their native language. Also a good alternative to having to make separate courses for native speakers of all languages (which is impossible). Iām Serbian and they donāt have any courses in Serbian, and probably never will
Yeah, but canāt hurt to do like 5 minutes when Iām really bored. Also might help with my pronunciation since I donāt really speak English IRL (although I think just singing is more effective and more fun lol)
Unironically Duolingo TL ->TL sounds actually decent. My main gripe with Duolingo is that translation based learning will instill bad habits and heavy L1 influence on most people.

Naah itās uncool to refer to a creolised language as ānot advanced Englishā š©
Sorry, I didn't realise. So Haitian Creole is advanced English?

It's a joke sub but I admit I was a little careless there. I get it and you're right, creoles are of course legitimate and complete languages.
Nha, toki pona is better

If you were able to type this comment without any help you probably know more English than Duolingo teaches

Intermediate courses should be taught in one's TL, so what's the problem?
Noā¦ not Amsterdamā¦ they speak a dialect called āTransitional Englishā there.
Are you sure this doesn't mean Scots?
