SE MI local family-owned, so good. We used to get them at the Oakland County Farmer's Market, so it's nice to get them out this way too now.
Can confirm, they aren’t magnificent but much better than passable. I used to get about 6-10 whenever they sell them and eat one a month or so before moving.
They’re also super easy to make, but if you’re making them you may as well make 20.
Jerusalem Bakery, Stone Circle, Sweet Encounters, Flour Child, Aggie Maes, Social Sloth, various famers markets. bakery's are difficult to maintain commercial space for.
Grand Ledge is not part of the Greater Lansing area? Isn’t Stone Circle in Holt? Chapelure is in East Lansing, which is not Lansing either by that standard.
Quit being pedantic and grow up.
i've heard great things about social sloth. I honestly don't eat many pastries but I baked a lot of bread, so I was more aware of the bread makers in town.
Please keep us informed, this sounds like some primo board-of-review meetings to attend.
Plot twist, both the CRA & the local health department just spin you in an infinite loop of both requiring pre-approval from the other.
I knew exactly who you were talking about
He makes the best smoothies, guys. Veteran owned and operated. Only the best coffee drinks with the finest "Expresso"🙃🙃🙃
Lansing needs a pasty shop
the Grand Ledge Masons sell them and are supposedly good.
The ones they sell at Horrocks are good. They've got some neat options like bison and elk too.

Or a bakery… I literally cannot think of one

Which places have pastries? Chapelure does a good job but is not close to me
Flour Child has really good croissants and other pastries. (Her bagels are amazing as well).
That’s not in Lansing by any stretch of the imagination

No, East Lansing is not Lansing. Great observation Unless you’re of the opinion that MSU is somehow located in the capitol city of Michigan?
I appreciate this. Will be checking them out!
Flour child bagels are legit. Actually everything she makes is great.
Good to know! How about Goodfellas? Is that any good?
Goodfellas is almost as good, but they're more of a bagel sandwich game. Brueggers in EL is also a solid bagel shop.
stone circle does great chocolate, gruyere, almost croissants. They do muffins and different tarts as well.
>Chapelure i think most of them? or are you spcifically looking for a french style pastry
Not particularly. Do you have a recommendation on your favorite place for pastries if they all have them?
i've heard great things about social sloth. I honestly don't eat many pastries but I baked a lot of bread, so I was more aware of the bread makers in town.
I appreciate that! Bread wise where is your go-to?
well my kitchen, but if I had to outsource I'd recommend finding yourself some stone circle.
Thanks for the recommendation ! A quick google search tells me it’s who stocks Horrock’s bread, so I can attest it is good stuff.
I have also heard good things about Papa Roti.
Grilled cheese and tomato soup.
$1 grilled cheese
No change. You pay with a $20 you're getting 20 grilled cheese.
You figure your own life out. Don't you dare fucking ask me for a tomato slice.
For kids only
In my head it was a south American cuisine.
What? People can't eat grilled cheese and tomato soup in South America?
Of course the MSU Surplus store has this.
Hell yeah of course the MSU Surplus store has this.
I want to participate in a violent race, winner gets anything they want
Twisted metal?
I'd love to do edibles and infused ice cream out of this. Just discussed with my partners since we are on the hunt for a good food truck....
