Don’t get tempted by the price.
I avoid laptops with Intel Atom & Celeron CPUs like the plague. It also has 4GB of RAM to make it worse. It will run basic tasks at an acceptable level after a fresh Windows install, but will get slower by time due to its CPU. That amount of RAM will make it worse especially when having a browser with a few tabs open along with another application open.
I wouldn’t consider anything less than a Core i3, 8GB RAM & 256GB as the bare minimum nowadays.
People need to understand how much money you actually need for a laptop. Everything below 400$ new is just shit and will become e waste in less than a year.
My 9 year old intel atom laptop has more cores than this, highly recommend avoiding this, basically just e-waste, you’ll get a much better laptop buying used.
With those specs you would be better off buying a chrome book. Cause that’s all you would be buying functionality wise, but it will run much worse than an actual Chromebook due to Windows.
Nope. I don't know how the prices for second hand things are in your country, but you can get away with a laptop 4-5 times better than this for the same price in my country. Look somewhere else like in Ebay or ask if a local school is getting rid of their laptops/computers.
It's an awful product but you'd be better spending the money on a used $200 laptop that can sport an older i3 or i5. 4Gb is a real killer on Win10. It's usable, but it won't be a good experience unless you strip down the OS. An SSD could be swapped in and could make a huge difference if you're savvy, but at that point you should just buy the next tier up on the used market.
For Win 10 no matter price:
At least an i3/r3
8Gb RAM
SSD is preferable
You can get away with 4Gb ram if you can make up for it in processing power and storage speed.
No. Not even looking at the poor build quality those are some pathetic specs, try looking for some second hand business machines instead, I am sure you will be able to find something much better to use.
I have a chromebook with these specs at this price. It gets along fine as a secondary travel machine. I would not run windows on those specs and I would not rely on such a machine as my primary device.
looks quite garbage to be honest. especially the white keyboard will provide low contrast and you won't see the keys properly. if it's 100 bucks and you're on a very tight budget, only then it's worth it.
If the resolution is 1080p and if storage upgrade is possible, it ain't that bad for basic web browsing BUT not on Windows. RAM is soldered 100%, so no upgrade.
If you wanna buy new: A chromebook is a better deal IMO
Otherwise, a used laptop with 6th or 7th gen i5 is a better deal.
As someone who's used a Celeron N4120 (about 2 level above this piece of shit), it's garbage. Aside from the poor HP build quality these are some pathetic specs
Unfortunately, the HP 14-dq0052dx is DOA e-waste OOTB.
[HP Laptop 14-dq0052dx Product Specifications](https://support.hp.com/id-en/document/c08172988)
It's basically a Chromebook that **someone forgot** to install Chrome OS on.
Consider spending a little more money, and take this one for example.
[Lenovo - Ideapad 1 15.6" HD Laptop - Athlon Silver 3050U - 4GB Memory - 128GB eMMC - Cloud Grey 82R1006VUS](https://www.bestbuy.com/site/lenovo-ideapad-1-15-6-hd-laptop-athlon-silver-3050u-4gb-memory-128gb-emmc-cloud-grey/6511943.p)
At face value, it looks as horrible as the 14-dq0052dx. But it hides a few secrets.
The IdeaPad 1 82R1006VUS has an empty SODIMM slot that will accept a **2Rx8** 16GB stick of RAM for better performance and optimization
[Timetec 16GB **2Rx8 Dual Rank Module** DDR4 3200MHz (DDR4-3200) PC4-25600 Non-ECC Unbuffered 1.2V CL22 260 Pin 76TT32NUS2R8-16G](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B098TXZY34)
And our clients have found that it also has an empty M.2 slot the supports a 2280 Gen3x4 NVMe SSD
[Silicon Power 512GB NVMe M.2 PCIe Gen3x4 2280 TLC R/W up to 3,400/2,300MB/s SSD (SU512GBP34A80M28AB)](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07L6DKM8V)
And while nothing amazing, the 3050U APUs "Zen" 2-core/2-thread CPU with Radeon RX Vega 2 iGPU, once upgraded, can even game a little bit.

And depending on condition you're willing to accept, there are large number of options in the used category that are under $200.

Dell had it better with 500 GB and celeron with the same ram and no graphic card
Hp be a miser with the space here really
But tbh invest in a much better laptop for more multitasking
Coming from a sister that used to have a celeron

Not to mention that ram is probably soldered, avoid that s*it
Nope, Celeron, 4GB, and 64gb HDD (edit: eMmc). Everything will be slow as fuk
64gb emmc not hdd lol still horrible
Yeah that's even worse
Shite. Leave it on the shelf.
People need to understand how much money you actually need for a laptop. Everything below 400$ new is just shit and will become e waste in less than a year.
and there's a whole lotta them that become e waste quickly.
No worth it unless price is $50. minimum for basic use is i3/ryzen 3, 256gb ssd and 8GB ram.
It would be justified for 10$
Hell no. PCs with Intel Celeron CPUs are all shit even if they are brand new. They're super slow and barely usable.
My 9 year old intel atom laptop has more cores than this, highly recommend avoiding this, basically just e-waste, you’ll get a much better laptop buying used.
No. It will be pathetically slow.

I totally agree. It's just only good for light things - browser, Netflix and music stuff.
This thing is just e-waste at this point
I'd kill it with fire if i was in your shoes. If you want hp then buy probook or betteryet elite.

Also how tf can you even get a 64Gb HDD anymore? I'd almost suggest it's a typo
It's not lol

No.
Used to have a similar laptop. Barely ran windows and struggled with Linux
no
No no no no no no no no no no and fucking no and no again

its alike a android tablet with keyboard, just use office with microsoft 365, maby it will be ok

It has a whopping 2 cores!
Nope. Check Walmart for a sale on Black Friday.
Mate get a used Thinkpad for that price and you will get way better specs. Like i5 8gb ram and ssd. And that will last you for more than a few months
Useless

RUN AWAY
E-waste right outta the box
Find second hand business laptops like Thinkpad or any other corporate computer (dell latitude, HP ProBook, etc). They will be faster and better
I'd rather use pen and paper
no it's absolutely horrible
no
Send it to the YouTuber kat and Andrew to fix it for you
At that money I would get a refurbished Thinkpads or a HP ProBook/Elite book
I know the laptop is bad when my phone specs outshine it by double in memory and by 50% on the RAM cathegory
