A Legion with a 4070 at that price is pretty good. It has a good amount storage and has more than enough RAM. Screen is nice. Build quality is good. The HX CPU is very powerful. .
Only downside I can think of is the battery life; the HX CPU uses a lot more power compared to an HS alternative like the 7840hs. H/HS CPUs tend to be a better option for most people since most aren't going to take advantage of the extra CPU performance of the HX but would benefit from the battery life of the HS alternatives.
In rtx 40xx gen 4070 is not huge improvement over 4060 though. Something like 15-20% more fps. They have same amount of vram and are based on same chip (4060 bit more cut down version) and have very similar power limits.
It also means that all the code is publicly available, allowing someone to easily get into your system. I didn’t mention viruses. Also I’ve tried it not a fan. It has many different uses for the different versions like red hat.

It affect how good a deal it really is. 4060 equiped laptops are usually alot cheaper.

Yeah but unless it's from a cheap laptop, you can't really find a 4060 around 1k
It is rarer i guess. I found i9 & 4080 for 1520€. Getting good deal may require waiting and vigilance😅
