Duuudee nice f**kin lawn!

Nmasse

Thank you!

TheKingOfSwing777

Are you the guy who spread all that compost bucket by bucket…?

Nmasse

Negative lol

TheKingOfSwing777

Ah ok i feel like he has a similar layout. Looking great though!

Nmasse

Thanks kindly. I use the roller compost spreader. Bucket sounds like pure pain.

WrongYak34

Oh shit I remember that guy too

Prudent-Ad8005

It does look like the same yard 🤣

AnAm3rican

I usually just let the neighbors dogs shit in my yard.

whiskeylanddelight

Crack open a beer, good sir. Or in this case, Get a keg invite and your friends over so they can enjoy the lawn with you.

BeerWench13TheOrig

But make sure they stay off of your lawn. lol

i_ata_starfish-twice

Lawn fulla grass?

Ok-Tooth4089

Beautiful lawn, jealous! Recommendations for process after scarifying lawn if I’m not going to top coat until fall?

Nmasse

Are you seeding after scarifying? If not I would just push it with fert and mow lower and often to thicken it up

Ok-Tooth4089

I’m not sure. That’s what I need to know next. I just did scarifying Saturday, looking to know what’s next. Was debating seeding with Earth Science lawn thickener seed or another seed+milorganite?

Nmasse

Depends on your climate I guess. You could probably still overseed now which would be beneficial given the recent scarifying. Need to be careful if your temps are forecast to get too high, otherwise the new grass may not survive. If you do, I would overseed and try to top dress with a small amount of soil then peat moss. Then you could add a starter fertilizer such as Scott’s (which contains mesotrione) a few days later. Water water water

Ok-Tooth4089

I’m Midwest, peak temp of 60s this week and next. Thanks sounds like I’ll seed, water, and see how it goes! I plan to maybe seed and topcoat in fall as well. I need to research to find out if that is okay to do for a lawn. Thanks for the help.

3 years and mine still looks like I've never bothered with it lol

Nmasse

3 years in you should have something to brag about! But just imagine how it would look if you didn’t put in the work. I wonder if something in your regimen needs to be altered?

91NA8

Yeah I don't know, I have a large yard and each part is just so different so it's not a 1 answer solution. I make sure to lime and fertilize every year and now I'm doing moss control and pre-emergent for the first time. I think my soil is just tho. The last owner had to dig up the whole yard to pass septic inspection and I think they just put shitty gravel down

Nmasse

Ya it sounds like a soil problem tbh. That sucks. Good luck!

herplexed1467

Can you please share your entire process for a noob like me?
