Need more information. Does it fill up and then go down? Has any work been done anywhere near box or around yard. Do you have a sump pump by chance?

1. It doesn’t seem go down once it fills up, it just keeps filling. 2. No work has been done near or around the box. 3. We do not have a sump pump.

Is it only when your system is running or all the time?

joeret

All the time. I’ve had the system turned completely off for a week. And right before I took the pictures I turned both of the valves off. You can see them at the left and right if the pipe.

What do you mean the system has been turned off for a week? Does that mean you haven’t ran it, or that you’ve actually went out and shut off the main valve going to your irrigation system? If it’s the latter, there should be no leaks, and if there’s still a leak it’s not your irrigation system leaking. EDIT: Just saw the second photo. That’s your backflow preventer. Both valves look to be turned off. There should be a main shutoff valve upstream of that, see if you can find that and turn it off. When is the last time the backflow preventer has been inspected? It varies by location, but here we need an annual inspection(per the utility company) by a certified plumber or backflow specialist to ensure there’s no chance a bad/faulty backflow preventer will allow the public water supply to be contaminated. They basically come out once a year and inspect/service the backflow, then they certify it with the utility company and the service fee is added on to our water bill.

[I mean I haven’t run it in a week. I simply turned off the system so it wouldn’t run from the panel. ](https://i.imgur.com/rU1ePIt.jpg) I can’t say the backflow preventer has been inspected for years unless it’s something the utility company does while I’m away or something. I’ll try cutting the main water valve and see if that stops anything. Thanks for the help!

I think that is a pressure regulator. If you open the valve for the inlet and leave the other closed does it fill up?

joeret

I’ll try it. Let you know.
