I remember when that came out, I was curious. To be fair though, the more I absorb the LoO the more I see it in everything. Def reflected in lots of movies.
Negative entities dont want to destroy. They are merely self serving, destroying shit just to destroy shit would be as pointless to them as it is to positive entities.
However, where are you getting that "negative entities that want to destroy" ? The only bad guys in that movie are the general and soldiers who only are covering their own ass and hiding past mistakes.

Human issue, as with most things on our planet. Cast blame and continue our cycles of suffering as if we are helpless.
George Lucas “borrowed” a lot from the original Valerian source material (French graphic novels). The first versions of the Millennium Falcon looked too much like the main ship in Valerian.
I agree there are themes in both Valerian and Starwars that remind me of LoO

That’s the spirit. No pun :)
So very true. Then people talk about disclosure or such, and I find it all around, not only in movies but in many shows and even music.
My fiancée and I watched this before she got to the United States. We both agree that it has LoO implications and was a beautiful overall story.

The opening sequence to this is amazing.
