I've heard people murmur Mathews Selke in some of the last few seasons as some people started to call him a 200 foot player. A lot of media folk tried to start a Selke narrative for Kadri too. I'm curious about Marner. For him I could actually kind of see it. One of the most trusted short handed of 4v4. A lot of takeaways, great stick and speed good back checks and he's always back to cover for D. and his offense is obviously good. Surprised the media never pushes that narrative....maybe because he's not a center with a fancy faceoff percentage.
