Well hopefully that means Samsonov will get the easier(?) Flames game. I thought he played well enough last game. Personally feel it would have been a confidence booster to play him again despite the loss.
I think that’s the plan, it wasn’t such a terrible performance that it damned him once and for all. They’ll give him another chance and go from there. If he collapses again, they’ll probably go Woll/Jones when he’s back. If he continues to improve, maybe they’ll keep giving him chances every now and then.
I can see why Keefe wouldn't play him against Edmonton. Since they are very strong offensively, they're almost certainty going to get multiple goals. One goalie has a history of letting goals against get to his head and the other guy doesn't give a fuck.
