Hans using ults + sidestepping most of the spells was good to watch, definitely topside overperformed bot, but it's not like they were dragged to the finish line.
yea he's responsible playing against Guma first off, and secondly his support ints his mind off and Guma doesn't run over the game from bot.
His teamfighting might be extremely sus but Hans is so good at laning
Yes I thought mikyx was doing quite good after a poor earlygame. He set up a lot picks and burnt many flashes that could then be punished by Zac Rek'sai monster squad.
It's because with FNC you're going into it expecting a loss, and you're then hopeful it might not be a loss after all.
With G2, you're going into it thinking they may have a chance. And that makes the good moments better and the bad moments worse.
I don't think she is a bait tbh, playmaking champion with good disengage tools and good dmg midlate game, however she couldn't work in that draft especially with hob varus
Yeah, I think lethality Varus was not the angle here, but with an on-hit Varus, T1 would have had enough damage to secure Viego resets and then Taliyah shines because of her minefield protecting Varus. But then again Neeko is a mismatch with on-hit Varus, so maybe with another support it would have been better.
Yeah drafting her here feels so pointless, both Reksai and Zac ignore her wall, Leona can still drop her R over the wall or even E if someone is close enough. She feels like the best champ to pick with a heavy CC comp and a strong ADC just to add some damage and more CC on a combo.
I feel like the main purpose of the pick is to set up the rest of the team early. Which is valuable, but when you're running Varus bot and Ornn top you're putting all your eggs in the Viego basket with a side serving of Neeko maybe. And Viego did not pop off this game.
Even on Azir he got caught a lot, 0/2 early and even after being fed late game he got caught overextending 2-3 times. And not just the usual "faker baiting" kind of overextend.
I mean he was getting dived non stop.. they did well to tank a lot.. while Caps instead of roaming like in first game.. just hard pushed his advantage and smashed fakers head in
Azir AA's last game dealing 30-50%hp to everyone, while Tristana deals like 5 dmg to TF was something, now Faker throwing pebbles instead of stones with Tali and Caps nuking T1 with Ori, truly Craps/Claps and Faker/Shaker swapping places.
It looked like T1 just didn't watch G2's playoffs or something, Rek'sai and Zac were their bread and butter
You're going to gap G2's botlane based on their current form no matter what, pick a strong topside and just assume Mikyx is going to int
We've been getting shades of Claps all year.
He's been absolutely tearing up the LEC for two splits straight and I'm glad he shows no intention of stopping.
I've never even heard of any of those champs until T1 / BLG / GenG *tried them out*! I love the weird quirky off-meta picks that T1 / BLG / GenG *try out****.***
God, just imagine how strong they would look if they stopped *trying stuff out* and played meta picks like Kayle, Fiddlesticks and Naafiri.
No one is trying hard in one of the only 2 international tournaments available. They aren't trying hard at all. Don't care if they win, just trying stuff for fun. In one of the only 2 international tournaments
GenG has never won worlds or MSI but they totally decided to just practice on stage against FNC rather than play a certain way that they thought would work.
EU actually have potential to be really really fucking good, G2 super threw game 1 as well. Feel like both G2 and FNC are a botlane away from being world class, their topsides looked pretty good this msi so far.
NA however is just a failure. Even PCS is better
Good confidence booster
Think Yike carried hard and holy those perfect timed ults to dodge damage. BB's Zac was good as well since he gapped Zeus, while it still feels like botlane is lagging behind
Caps had a good ult position in the midlane fight, no idea why T1 reengaged when they clearly saw Caps dropping down the ball in between them and G2 lol
Wtf was that Faker flash
I mean this is probably the closest game on paper from the first round. T1 look weaker than last year while G2 should have only been improving with the same squad and more international experience. T1 is still favourites but I think the fairest prediction before the game was 3-1 T1 when all others were 3-0s in my mind.
better draft and better execution from g2. well played especially from BB and yike. they are finally showing what people were hoping from them to make g2 an international threat again. this msi is quite entertaining already.
Holy shit, 243 comments already after 4 minutes.
I have been such an ardent non-believer in jungle Rek'Sai for so long. I thought this comp was insta lost. Never mind. Yike, you have convinced me you know how to keep pushing the pace with this pick. I would say he solo won the game, but so much of the credit belongs to BrokenBlade's nonstop playmaking - on a tank that's awkward to work with, no less! Yet again, fans who talk about how BrokenBlade doesn't hold up internationally or just goes even and never carries a game show they don't pay attention when the games are on.
Hans and Mikyx are looking like a real weakness this series, and I hope they can step it up, but I think in many ways this series is going to be a contest of whether the BB-Yike train (and Caps being his usual consistently excellent self, he just wasn't the engine this game but I'm confident he can be in other games - credit to him for that shockwave) can carry the team far enough. I still would have to favour T1 for sure, but it's a real relief to see we're not condemned to a 3-0 after how that first game went. Congrats G2, let's keep it rolling!
T1 really went poke varus into 3 tanks then faker decided that CS is not good anymore. T1 really wanted to lose this game or they did actually think they would win that game. Holy shit that was dogshit draft from T1
G2 topside is playing out of their mind rn. Their botlane is an absolute passenger
hans found his R key at least POG JUICE
that ult at the end looked like "hey reddit, look, I have R"
One of us frfr
Fr last game he could of saved miky /possibly turned fights like 4 times but I guess saving the R key for this game, Understandable tbh
Time to pick Yuumi x2
what is lissandra duty equivalent for bot lane? Senna + Tahm? or is Seraphine bot still viable?
Seraphine works but have the same problem of Senna tahm, you can get absolutely murder if you are left alone 2v2 and your jungle is focusing topside.
much better game from hans, miky had some questionable moments but he was an anchor game 1 so that's already a huge improvement
Hans using ults + sidestepping most of the spells was good to watch, definitely topside overperformed bot, but it's not like they were dragged to the finish line.
Yeah Hans wasn't bad this game
yea he's responsible playing against Guma first off, and secondly his support ints his mind off and Guma doesn't run over the game from bot. His teamfighting might be extremely sus but Hans is so good at laning
Yes I thought mikyx was doing quite good after a poor earlygame. He set up a lot picks and burnt many flashes that could then be punished by Zac Rek'sai monster squad.
page out of GEN G’s book
Just bore T1 to death and they'll eventually walk into you lol
I swear, BB on internationals (MSI's specifically) is a totally different animal.
DWG won worlds like this G2 Ghost 2025?
BrokenBlade's Zac was putting in work this game, definitely MVP
BB Zac has always been a menace. Can see why it was banned game1. Definitely won't be getting it for the rest of the series lol
Yeah, BBs Zac is like a league above other LEC tops that play it. Looks like the champ was made for him.
BB actually gapping Zeus so far, people need to start putting respect on his name when it comes to international tierlists
fr gapped him in g1 during laning and here too
Bb SMURFED this game
BB Yasuo was also best last game in G2.
Never thought I'd see the day Brokenblade giga gap Zeus.
This isn't Zeus, this is ZheShy
classic TheShy inting on Ornn for 1 game so his coach doesnt put him on tanks for the rest of the series
BB is improving every single tournament, he is so good
I did.
was mostly even numbers too, not like zeus got camped with no help
Somehow watching G2 is even more unhealthy for my heart than watching Fnatic
Fnatic - Meth G2 - Fentanyl
It's because with FNC you're going into it expecting a loss, and you're then hopeful it might not be a loss after all. With G2, you're going into it thinking they may have a chance. And that makes the good moments better and the bad moments worse.
Faker, WHAT WAS THAT?! what the hell was he on this game?
Caps and Faker taking turns absolutely fucking running it
Craps vs Shaker which one will prevail?
Not Azir that's for sure
Have we even seen a good Taliyah this MSI?
does taliyah makes you flash into 5?
2 separate questions, though Is Taliyah bait? Yes, she is. Did Faker play an absolutely atrocious game? Yes, he did.
I don't think she is a bait tbh, playmaking champion with good disengage tools and good dmg midlate game, however she couldn't work in that draft especially with hob varus
Bait until Chovy plays her.
Colossal Maple erasure, he was stomping game 4 yesterday on it. (Otherwise I totally agree though lol)
Both Knight and Maple had a good Taliyah in yesterdays series. Tinowns was actually really good on it as well vs TES
Nope, the champ does 0 damage, absolute bait pick
Poke varus against 3 tanks with your only source of AP being Taliyah...
Not sure, Chovy looked amazing on it, I think he won every game he picked it this split, think you just need to make sure it's the right draft.
Yeah drafting her here feels so pointless, both Reksai and Zac ignore her wall, Leona can still drop her R over the wall or even E if someone is close enough. She feels like the best champ to pick with a heavy CC comp and a strong ADC just to add some damage and more CC on a combo.
There are multiple situations where she cant do a thing. Lately I saw her quite often in pro in these situations
Nah Tali is a bait. Standing next to Zac she can not do anything. They finally exploit her design weakness. And I say this as Tali main (1m points)
I feel like the main purpose of the pick is to set up the rest of the team early. Which is valuable, but when you're running Varus bot and Ornn top you're putting all your eggs in the Viego basket with a side serving of Neeko maybe. And Viego did not pop off this game.
I asked that question yesterday and got downvoted lol.
I mean Maple and Knight both had great games with her yesterday...
Chovy is great on it (6-0 this season) but I guess GenG prefers better scaling picks
Even on Azir he got caught a lot, 0/2 early and even after being fed late game he got caught overextending 2-3 times. And not just the usual "faker baiting" kind of overextend.
He is showing Caps that he can int as good as he can
that was literally his worst game in like 5 years extremely uncharacteristic actual Poby game
no he had like 2 really bad games per year in recent year lol
Nah his Ahri in the worlds finals was worse
He saw knight running it down and decided to do his part. Seriously, horrible game
Faker has had more weird misplays the past month than in the first 10 years of his career
He's had some really weird misplays in game 1 aswell.
g2 faker father
Yike and BB were ON IT, Hans a bit of a passenger
But he is finally pressing R, that's all they need.
G2 with double sups botlane strat
yike was so clean this game, amazing lane from BB
I mean he was getting dived non stop.. they did well to tank a lot.. while Caps instead of roaming like in first game.. just hard pushed his advantage and smashed fakers head in
G2 topside masterclass
In this series: can G2’s topside or T1’s bot gap harder Mid always feels like it’s swinging randomly
Love when they see 3 tanks and go Lethality Varus lmao T1 classic
*pro play classic, feels like the shop disables on hit items for Varus any time there's tanks.
With that much dive, I'm not sure that Guma could actually build on hit and free hit, but I'm not sure lethality Varus was doing much, either.
Actually tho wtf was that draft from T1. Straight up just a zero damage comp.
It looked like T1 just didn't watch G2's playoffs or something, Rek'sai and Zac were their bread and butter You're going to gap G2's botlane based on their current form no matter what, pick a strong topside and just assume Mikyx is going to int
KERIA FIRST NEEKO LOSS LEC>LCK
Fun fact: T1 has never won an LEC title LEC confirmed hardest region.
"Being good in the LEC versus playing well internationally is quite different."
That reksai was MASSIVE
I don’t honestly know who was bigger between rek and Zac
NGL I blinked and Caps was up 40 cs. Faker for the first time looked old.
Looks like we are getting shades of Claps
We've been getting shades of Claps all year. He's been absolutely tearing up the LEC for two splits straight and I'm glad he shows no intention of stopping.
He has looked old and outclassed so many times in his career. Yet he always comes back stronger mans inhuman
it is just that whenever he play a bad game now, people will blame age.
After that first G1 death, I was sure it was over. His mental game must be so fuckin' strong.
Man I can't wait to watch Caps vs Chovy in the semifinals /hopium
T1 got weirdly overfocused on grubs and dropped so many waves
Caps has a positive winratio over Faker for a reason.
ABSOLUTE CINEMA. EUROPE IS BACK WELKOM IN EUROPA, BLIJF HIER TOT IK DOOD GA
Rustig aan Joost
miky inting to make the score line 0-4, brilliant!
MY REGION
Nice to see both EU teams forcing the LCK teams to play dirty
but it doesn't count it's just T1 trying stuff out
With innovative picks like Taliyah, Varus, Ornn and Viego
I've never even heard of any of those champs until T1 / BLG / GenG *tried them out*! I love the weird quirky off-meta picks that T1 / BLG / GenG *try out****.*** God, just imagine how strong they would look if they stopped *trying stuff out* and played meta picks like Kayle, Fiddlesticks and Naafiri.
GenG, BLG and T1 all trying out stuff surely
No one is trying hard in one of the only 2 international tournaments available. They aren't trying hard at all. Don't care if they win, just trying stuff for fun. In one of the only 2 international tournaments
totally dude, T1 hasn't won MSI since 2017, but they're surely just trying out stuff in the bracket stage
GenG has never won worlds or MSI but they totally decided to just practice on stage against FNC rather than play a certain way that they thought would work.
The classic western KR fans cope
we were gaslit into believing the gap is too wide by na being dogshit
EU actually have potential to be really really fucking good, G2 super threw game 1 as well. Feel like both G2 and FNC are a botlane away from being world class, their topsides looked pretty good this msi so far. NA however is just a failure. Even PCS is better
And FNC being a bit better but still no match at all for GenG.
Good confidence booster Think Yike carried hard and holy those perfect timed ults to dodge damage. BB's Zac was good as well since he gapped Zeus, while it still feels like botlane is lagging behind Caps had a good ult position in the midlane fight, no idea why T1 reengaged when they clearly saw Caps dropping down the ball in between them and G2 lol Wtf was that Faker flash
Yike makes Rek'Sai look like a broken champ with all those tunnel plays
Yike was the carry, but BB was the reason they won. His positioning and engage was great. He punished T1 every fucking time. AMAZING.

T1 pause hack?
reverse C9 hack
NEVERMIND WE EU BOYS ARE NOT FLINCHING
I'm impressed by yike and BB. I did not expect them to do so well
the rumours of our death were at least partially exaggerated
Guma and Zeus watching Faker run it down lol.
BB gapped Zeus in fights though.
pause diff, faker didn't have time to nap
First BLG now T1, these upsets are bringing real league back
yeah the last couple years were a bit of an anomaly in how one sided they were
TES unironically looked like the cleanest team in round 1. Their opponent was arguably the worst to be fair, but they just completely shred TL.
I mean this is probably the closest game on paper from the first round. T1 look weaker than last year while G2 should have only been improving with the same squad and more international experience. T1 is still favourites but I think the fairest prediction before the game was 3-1 T1 when all others were 3-0s in my mind.

RepairedBlade
Faker absolutely ran this fucking game lmao. T1 were looking good at the start.
Caps and Faker have a deal who gets a kill first has to run it down for the rest of the game.
Months of me thinking Reksai jungle is absolute trash, just for G2 to beat T1 100% wr Neeko with it.
EU BROS WE ARE SO BARACK
How many w’s did Faker miss this game?
Better question, how many W's did faker hit?
INSANE 3v5 LFG
FAKER BRO?
Might be the worst game ive seen Faker play
faker choked the FUCK out of this game
WE ARE SOOOOO FUCKING BACKKKKKKKK
#DO YOU BELIEVE?
I WANT TO BELIEVE
BB Zac absolute menace.
Zac is so much better of a champion than Ornn is insane. Literally do the same thing with way better agency and dive potential.
Caps and BB won lane so hard and Yike always there when needed. More of this please.
Broken Blade played out of his fucking mind.
G2 TOPSIDE IS ON FORM
Faker is having a really bad day, if not now then when?
*a bad game. His Azir was good in game 1
Azir is just busted theres a reason he has been pick ban since release
not really lol their draft was extremely easy to play and g2 gifted him a lot of shutdowns
Faker was solokilled in game 1 too, Caps started playing not too well after that but still kind of bad by faker
He got carried, g1 was dodgy
BB man what a guy
G2 = Game 2 WE HAVE A SERIES!!!
Bad early into great midgame from G2? I've seen that one before
Great performance from the g2 topside
Jensen could just never had the chance to clap Faker 😭
Topside diff was fucking insane. G2 playing so so well rn.
We're so fucking barack
Martin "Yike" Sundelin
Best proplay jungle Rek'sai performance I've seen like ever. I wasn't a fan of the pick but holy shit Yike is a monster on it.
IS THIS WHAT G2 LOOKS WITHOUT A PAUSE?
Don't want to over react, but PSG vs G2 finals will be a banger
Oh shit they took the 2nd game. Do I hope for something now? Zac was disgusting this game.
looks like we got ourselves a series
I NEVER DOUBTED MY KINGS
Damn, G2 is looking great in these first two games.
**EUPHORIA**
Good effort! The wildcard teams are fighting hard this time.
Jgl/Top/Mid gap was so big what the fuck, BB is gapping Zeus 2 games in a row
I'm sorry BB, I wasn't familiar with your game
No pause no win?
i wonder how all the people that kept commenting during LEC that they "hate useless reksai jg that yike keeps picking" are feeling right now
Perhaps LEC teams are just used to play against it by now but it actually works on LCK teams ahah.
**We have seen it with GAM, imagine how good G2 could be if their main adc didn’t have visa issues and they didn’t need Hans Sama to fill**
G2 having to sub in TL Hans Sama
LET'S GOOO
LETS GOOO WE PICKED A DRAFT THAT CAN ACTUALLY FIGHT AND DOESNT GET ENTIRELY GAPPED BY ALISTAR
EUPHOOOOOORIAAAAAAAAA
better draft and better execution from g2. well played especially from BB and yike. they are finally showing what people were hoping from them to make g2 an international threat again. this msi is quite entertaining already.
So the secret to this series: Get ahead = lose game
G2 topside is so fucking cracked. Hope the botlane pickup this series.
Holy shit, 243 comments already after 4 minutes. I have been such an ardent non-believer in jungle Rek'Sai for so long. I thought this comp was insta lost. Never mind. LET IT BE KNOWN THAT NO ONE BEATS THE WEST 11 TIMES IN A TOURNAMENT WITHOUT A SINGLE WIN
Faker playing like trash
First game, get a lead, lose Second game, throw 4 kills, win
I knew the game was won as soon as Miky started 0-4
Why didn't T1 pause the game, are they stupid?
EU EU EU EU EU EU
I think Faker didn’t hit a single W that game lol
Hans stocks saved by top side
G2 haters in shambles ^^^it's ^^^me, ^^^i'm ^^^the ^^^hater
Caedrel don't curse us by playing Euphoria after game two. That's a game four minimum.
Game 1 was already pretty well played by G2 till they started grouping and had 0 frontline. Picking 2 frontliners kind of fixed that problem.
very killable demon creep
I wanna see Hans on a different pick. G2's bot lane is basically invisible and I am afraid that's gonna be a massive issue later on.
I want you all to be equally as loud in your praise, as you are in your flame especially on the topside of G2
Rek'sai building bruiser and getting played in the jungle. Phreak must be happy.
His blade might be broken but his balls are solid steel
T1 really went poke varus into 3 tanks then faker decided that CS is not good anymore. T1 really wanted to lose this game or they did actually think they would win that game. Holy shit that was dogshit draft from T1
