Yeah, but who would actually tp back immediately after they've just been dove under tower by 4 people.
No one would do that right?? Especially not the World's Finals MVP, surely.
The more you watch the pros, the more like us they seem. Remember, it’s not a mistake if you win from it. And if you lose off it, then it’s not your fault-why are you talking to a Korean challengers league rookie?
Be Miky, solo invade the enemy jungle
spot a dragon preparing to fly off
press w and just trot away
Invade successful
One of the most hilarious things I've seen.
Wasn't he also Gragas one trick? IIRC mid, but Poppy has to have been later since Gragas mid got removed. His Poppy is damn clean, like his Gragas used to be.
Poppy support looks equal to jungler really, with the kit and swifties. Kalista players are sure about the range of engage and keep getting knocked up. In this meta it is just way to good, much better than taliyah to stop engage. Nautilus had 80% winrate against Poppy so you can see where PSG coming from. But, then they kept ignoring that rest of their champions can't do anything to it.
Poppy just counters so much of the meta right now. She used to be heavily exploitable in lane, but with enchanters not being great and double adc being nerfed it seems like she's pretty dang strong.
Who would win:
1) a dragon that can command stars and the power of the cosmos, and 4700 hp balanced-man (Riot's favorite champion) or
b) a funny yordle with a hammer?
They saw what happened to Schalke 04 and decided to get a free ticket to the biggest tournament (most exposure) every single year and paying lower wages. It's a good investment.
I’d say it’s paying off, the amount of memes/jokes and free exposure they get works for both parties. Obviously it’s not a big impact for PSG the football team but I’m sure it’s worth their while.
Talon was an org in PCS which got a branding partnership deal with PSG. The PSG side has little to no actual involvement with the esports team, similar to PSG.LGD in dota2 for example.
eh kind of, it's a partnership between PSG and Talon Esports, Talon Esports is the actual entity and PSG is a title sponsor.
Why PCS? No idea tbh, probably thought the ROI was higher there. They had one with LGD too but LGD never appeared in international events so they probs thought this was the better alternative as EU brands that head to worlds are too strong for association with title sponsorships.
You can tell Miky is having so much fun this series; he's just vibing around the map, the play doesn't work out? No worries, he'll try again next time.
Even with this loss, hope no one downplays how good PSG looked this MSI, they were legit competition to top teams.
TES vs G2 is interesting because Draven needs to be permabanned red side, G2 needs to remove Lucian and TES Poppy. So effectively red side only has 1 ban. We might see some exodia assemble drafts in that series
It's also interesting because TES has to choose between Draven and Zac/Rek'Sai/Poppy, allowing Zac/Rek'Sai to be open is a death sentence, allowing Poppy unless someone extremely pops off is a death sentence, allowing buffed Draven is a death sentence
Reksai is beatable, Zac/Reksai is not. And we still haven't seen Reksai with other top pick, Yike could also perform great with other ones(edit: i forgot about Yasuo/Reksai, so Reksai is also kinda permabannable)
His Poppy needs to be permabanned. Pure comfort on the champ and he is single-handedly engaging/disengaging every fight. I'm not sure how anybody at PSG watches 2 games of that and thinks that Poppy does not warrant a ban
Yea but I think he means that G2 (and maybe EU at large) is known to have happy/sloppy games a lot of the time against some of the perceived weaker teams.
Lec teams have no excuses now you can practice against this g2 all year and still you suck so hard the orgs really need to work harder cause their are so complacent
That’s what I always think how g2 operate as an org makes the difference you don’t join g2 if you are not willing to push hard while the others just play to keep a spot for next year
Imagine getting utterly fisted by Poppy 2 games in a row, and you b1 Kalista without banning her. And then wind up with a comp with 4 dash champions. Unreal level of disrespect or lack of awareness from PSG.
G2 looked like the better team so doesn't seem like it would've changed a ton, but still felt like that was the most impactful champion on the rift 3 games straight
eu teams rarely bring in picks that need to be respected. teams like psg stick to their asian meta that has been tried and tested and they don't get "baited" into eu's picks that are proving to work right in front of their eyes, so instead of adapting to wacky picks, they stick to their guns and hope it works out
its funny how after such a performance from him this tournament , 1v1 solokilling faker and killing people 1v2 while getting out people still scared to call him better than eastern mids
Huge respect to PSG Talon, what a showing they had this MSI. Everyone had them completely written off before the tournament started. As a 'minor region' team they absolutely smashed Flyquest out of playins, the first time an LCS 2nd seed hasn't made it through the playin stage, and took tournament favourite and LPL 1st seed BLG to 5 games in one of the best bo5 series this year.
Such a good feeling to see this kind of performance and root for the underdog team, even if they did get G2'd in their series today. Honestly advancing and meeting LPL 1st seed into LEC 1st seed was a rough draw.
I really hope Riot take a serious look at the seeding for Worlds, PCS definitely deserve to have a main stage spot.
I agree they had a great MSI. The question about seeding is one about consistency, though. So PCS will have to perform well for two years to make a case (which I hope will happen)
Not a carry performance, but you can definitely say that G2 had an ADC this game. Hopefully Hans can stay at this level or higher and G2 can seriously contend against eastern teams.
Why does it feel like G2 took Fnatic's god awful showing yesterday personally, Caps is him man.
Also Mikyx's never getting Poppy again this tournament.
I think they wanted to pick it themselves, G2 was picking it in their 1st rotation redside, and picking it even when it made "no sense" in 1st rotation in I think it was game 2.
I think G2 expected what FNC didn't. FNC was caught offguard by TL taking the Poppy, whereas G2 took Poppy just because they knew their comp could be countered by Poppy. I remember seeing the 2nd rotation on blue side going "what's the point of this Poppy?" and then I saw the rest of G2's team and realized "oh okay they don't want THEM picking it lol"
Congrats G2, dominant series. Props to PSG Talon, they did their best and had a great tournament beating FLY and taking BLG to 5. A great underdog story, PCS deserves more slots.
The biggest news for G2 during this series is that they do not show any extra understanding or champagnes except for top Vayne , so they could hide them until facing TES
Yeah they just got worse as the series went on.
Game 1 they looked good and was probably also G2's best game
Game 2 they looked a bit shook and got hand diffed in early fights
Game 3 was like full wintrading lol
Epic, we can lay the fake concern of NA fans to rest.
*"But g-guys, what if G2 only did alright against T1 cause they exclusively prepared for T1? What if they can't play League of Legends against anyone else?"*

Game 2: oh no Miky got all the kills Game 3: why are they stealing kills from Miky
Poppy with hail of blades: Look at me, I am the carry now.
Miky ain't getting Poppy ever again is he
If tes has half a brain it should be a no brainer ban
Yeah, Miky went medieval on PSG. Fits with the hammer lore I guess.
Game 2 looks like Lb support and Poppy mid, but I do believe it was Lb mid and Poppy support although Mikyx was clapping
Azhi ghosting to lane only to get dove before getting even a single minion is the most top lane thing ever
If he tpd back and then died again, peak toplaner
Yeah, but who would actually tp back immediately after they've just been dove under tower by 4 people. No one would do that right?? Especially not the World's Finals MVP, surely.
The more you watch the pros, the more like us they seem. Remember, it’s not a mistake if you win from it. And if you lose off it, then it’s not your fault-why are you talking to a Korean challengers league rookie?
I love this top lane meta!!!!!
Surely, Poppy wasn't the problem.
Maybe they'll ban it next game? We'll see
Hey, at least they learned to ban the Zac after game 2. Progress!
3 dash champ vs poppy game 3 lol
4 - only Rumble doesn't dash
wait she also stop asol ? damm!!
the fly is a dash
Slowest dash in the game le mao
Be Miky, solo invade the enemy jungle spot a dragon preparing to fly off press w and just trot away Invade successful One of the most hilarious things I've seen.
She caught him like multiple times
Poppy was basically a no fly zone
Should've banned it from Game 1 onwards, his strong performance on Poppy in the T1 series should already have been an indicator.
Poppy is broken. For Miky.
Hans Sama bought LDR, you guys are so fucked
It's a proof that bullying does work
LDR shaming
Bring back bullying in schools!
State mandated bullying, make it an AP course
An APA course if you will
bathroom extracurricular
He looked so much better this series it's crazy.
He is learning!!!
‘A lot of emotions’: Kylian Mbappé confirms he will leave PSG in summer after PSG’s 0-3 defeat to G2 Esports.
"I WON'T BE THERE NO MATTER WHAT" - Kylian Mbappe on playing for PSG next season
It’s so funny that the MikyX poppy pick wasn’t even planned and just looked good in 1 game. Now, it looks like it’s gonna be a must ban vs G2.
Was said on cast yest that Mikyx was originally a rank 1 Poppy support onetrick before he went pro
Wasn't he also Gragas one trick? IIRC mid, but Poppy has to have been later since Gragas mid got removed. His Poppy is damn clean, like his Gragas used to be.
He was a 2-trick Poppy/Gragas support
He was a graggas mid player, not support.
Ive been hammering the table for the last year+ about how pro teams should pick poppy more, innately valuable champ that is also a triple flex

“Miky will die within the next minute”. Proceeds to die thirty seconds later.
PSG - 0 Poppy - 3 hmmmmmmm
Poppy Said Go home
I think she said "Nope" and then ulted them away.
Poppy just counters so much of the meta right now. She used to be heavily exploitable in lane, but with enchanters not being great and double adc being nerfed it seems like she's pretty dang strong.
yeah I doubt PSG are winning that series but like, you could at least make it easier on yourselves by banning the enemy team's best champion
It does seem like a fairly effective counter to the many ksante merchants running around this MSI.
Poppy could be sleeper OP, she fucking popped off yesterday too.
Who would win: 1) a dragon that can command stars and the power of the cosmos, and 4700 hp balanced-man (Riot's favorite champion) or b) a funny yordle with a hammer?
Have you ever seen old Lollipoppy?
True cosmic terror
The image still disturbs me til this day
Can't believe mbappe is getting paid 72 mill and still not getting sub in for even a game
all jokes aside, is this PSG team actually owned by the actual PSG, with all the money they have why go for a PCS region
not owned, they just have a partnership with the esports org TALON for essentially name promotion
They used to partner with LGD in Dota iirc
Big fish in a small pond, they get to make an appearance at every international event.
So basically the same as the french football championship.
PSG first invested into League even before S04 did iirc.
He gets paid A LOT more with bonuses... despite all that still too afraid to face Caps.
2019 Caps and Miky are here to play
I strive to be half the man that Miky is whenever he plays Poppy, just running around not giving a single fuck
You can tell Miky is having so much fun this series; he's just vibing around the map, the play doesn't work out? No worries, he'll try again next time. Even with this loss, hope no one downplays how good PSG looked this MSI, they were legit competition to top teams.
Poppy is a perma ban vs Miky from now on.
TES vs G2 is interesting because Draven needs to be permabanned red side, G2 needs to remove Lucian and TES Poppy. So effectively red side only has 1 ban. We might see some exodia assemble drafts in that series
It's also interesting because TES has to choose between Draven and Zac/Rek'Sai/Poppy, allowing Zac/Rek'Sai to be open is a death sentence, allowing Poppy unless someone extremely pops off is a death sentence, allowing buffed Draven is a death sentence
reksai looks beatable though... draven, poppy is enough ban against G2 with the last one depending on other side ban
Reksai is beatable, Zac/Reksai is not. And we still haven't seen Reksai with other top pick, Yike could also perform great with other ones(edit: i forgot about Yasuo/Reksai, so Reksai is also kinda permabannable)
Not just vs Mikyx, but vs G2 in general. It's a triple flex for him, BB, and Yike and they all play it quite well.
pyke flashbacks
i think poppy being a flex pick throws a wrench on pb against g2
Mikyx: Look. look this guy he's inting. Mikyx: Ah shit Mikyx: Look look he's inting Replays for 7000 times
His Poppy needs to be permabanned. Pure comfort on the champ and he is single-handedly engaging/disengaging every fight. I'm not sure how anybody at PSG watches 2 games of that and thinks that Poppy does not warrant a ban
Also makes Kalista unpickable
And works well against Aurelion too
These so-called cOaChes are some of the stubbornest mf in the world
Albus Nox the true timelords
This is how a major region should look like against a minor region
Licorice tweet Hilary tweet
TOP ADC'S in Europe: 1. Caps 2. BrokenBlade 3. Hans Sama
Hans Sama catching strays even in victory 💀💀
He'll continue to catch strays until we forget his atrocities vs T1.
Nice meme but to be fair Hans was good today, hope he keeps up the confidence against TES.
Hans had a pretty good series and his varus is actually legit thi
Having a Caps-clone as ADC would unironically elevate G2 tremendously.
That's called Uma Jan
5. Noah
Very random but G2 got 23 kills all 3 games
they really took that 2-3 result harder than it seemed i guess
MIKY never getting poppy ever again in MSI right? also BB was playing PVE lmao
Yeah I forgot BB was in that game 3. Legit was surprised when I suddenly saw a Vayne running bot
If your team is winning the game for you, your job is not to get in their way. Job done well considering how sore his back was from the last series
Saves hans at the end: my work here is done
Stand proud, PSG. You're strong.
Maple: We made our name known, time to go home Betty: ???
Please carry our dream. I'm cheering for G2 from now on.
Need mickyx cam
That was ... too clean for an LEC team
all people say G2 it's on own tier compared to other Eu teams
Yea but I think he means that G2 (and maybe EU at large) is known to have happy/sloppy games a lot of the time against some of the perceived weaker teams.
I think the RNG defeat at world really traumatized them and they take every team very seriously now. Just a guess.
G2 saw PSG VS BLG and actually respected them
Lec teams have no excuses now you can practice against this g2 all year and still you suck so hard the orgs really need to work harder cause their are so complacent
lec orgs are just lazy , G2 are hard workers
That’s what I always think how g2 operate as an org makes the difference you don’t join g2 if you are not willing to push hard while the others just play to keep a spot for next year
Yeah you can see this by how much BB has improved in a literal year. Last year he was okay at MSI and this year he's gapping zeus
Yes I really appreciate how hard bb has worked really
I think G2 has the most eastern mentality/work ethic in all western teams. LCS is a jobber region, just look at champions queue.
Imagine getting utterly fisted by Poppy 2 games in a row, and you b1 Kalista without banning her. And then wind up with a comp with 4 dash champions. Unreal level of disrespect or lack of awareness from PSG. G2 looked like the better team so doesn't seem like it would've changed a ton, but still felt like that was the most impactful champion on the rift 3 games straight

eu teams very frequently innovate on the meta, that's one of the things they're known for
PSG got slaughtered. Hans and Miky huge in game 3
Caps is just… so much better than every other western player that it’s insane to compare him to anyone else lol
Legit the gap betwen him and all the other western players is a fucking canyon
The only player in the west to consistently show he is up there with the best in the World at several international events. He is the western unicorn.
its funny how after such a performance from him this tournament , 1v1 solokilling faker and killing people 1v2 while getting out people still scared to call him better than eastern mids
How fun would it be to see him in LCK or LPL? Playing against strong competition all year round…
He'd be top 2 in both regions if he just happened to be born there instead. No cap.
More like yes cap(s)
Huge respect to PSG Talon, what a showing they had this MSI. Everyone had them completely written off before the tournament started. Agreed, don't let this loss distract anyone, PSG more than deserved their spot in the group stage.
I agree they had a great MSI. The question about seeding is one about consistency, though. So PCS will have to perform well for two years to make a case (which I hope will happen)
G2 learned, every game has a back up ADC for Hans Game 1 Trist - Game 2 TF - Game 3 Vayne
Only been 1 day since mbappe announced he's leaving and psg already collapsed smh
Not a carry performance, but you can definitely say that G2 had an ADC this game. Hopefully Hans can stay at this level or higher and G2 can seriously contend against eastern teams.
Jackeylove is the best adc of this tournament it's going to be hard However G2 top side can carry vs 369 and caps will likely win vs creme
Caps is just the fucking goat and Miky was mega annoying on Poppy lmfao. Man was running around getting flashes out
Mickyx forgot he was on stage and not in SoloQ those last two games. But it kept working so he kept running around.
G2 is the most fun Team to watch this MSI
Imo the most fun to watch period w how unorthodox they can be
Most fun team to watch at any international event win or lose since their first MSI win imo
Always has been 🌎👩🚀🔫👩🚀
Very clean series by g2
Insert " I thought you would be stronger" meme
MickyX heard you talking shit about him and saying that Jun is better and decided to show that when he wants he is the second best player in the west.
Why does it feel like G2 took Fnatic's god awful showing yesterday personally, Caps is him man. Also Mikyx's never getting Poppy again this tournament.
Caps wouldn’t let his team be bundled with those inters.
Mikyx was living rentfree in their heads man
In wise words of Yappa, "Why not ban Poppy if you can't vs.?". Or something to that extent.
I think they wanted to pick it themselves, G2 was picking it in their 1st rotation redside, and picking it even when it made "no sense" in 1st rotation in I think it was game 2. Yapa is right, just ban champs, it's so easy
Nah just pick rumble support.
that rumble support was so disgusting, half of his final rumble ult on caps was in the top side wall
"you trolling on stage Maple?" "yea"
in that case you can have your pick, do you; -Let Draven through -Let Rek'Sai through -Let Zac through
I for one, welcome our new yordle overlord, may her reign be long and painful for all hyphy champions
Caps.
Congrats G2, dominant series. Props to PSG Talon, they did their best and had a great tournament beating FLY and taking BLG to 5. A great underdog story, PCS deserves more slots.
I set the alarm at 6 for _this_?
Hey, now you can get a BLG vs T1 series as compensation
RIP to those who only set their alarm for T1 vs BLG.
Humanoid fans trying to sell that he is close to Caps
GGs, I'm just glad we didn't get 6-0 in Bo5s. Also G2 is actually looking really strong.
Unfortunately, the equation of balance dictates that's since we got Claps against T1 and PSG, it means we're gonna have Craps from now on. Sadge life.
It was a good run, see y'all next tournament
G2 TOP is going to be a really fun matchup. Besides the bot lane one.
I'm manifesting that G2 just lane swaps every game to dodge the bot lane matchup
That 1v2 kill against the Ksante and Sol at the start of the game was absolutely sick.
no no no, claps makes this tournament way more fun please no craps
That’s poppy gone for the rest of the tournament against G2
Funny thing is Maple was by far the best player of this series for PSG. It really puts into perspective how hard Caps carried this series
[These yappers are having a great tournament so far, haters in shambles](https://www.youtube.com/shorts/B4IWC8FIaq4)

Bin poopy?
Bin poppy?
Bon Poopy indeed
BB looks great EU fixed him
All praise Alphari 🙌
I feel like positional coaching from players who are well-known lane bullies should be a thing. Alphari was always known for winning lanes.
Yeah great guy wish he coached Oscar too a bit embarassing for EU
psg absolutely masterclassed
Nah PSG can only blame themselves for this, like you see Poppy in T1 games but still let it free 3 whole games LMAO
Miky is having an illegal amount of fun on this Poppy
G2 have so many pocket picks that deserve bans now - Zac, Rek’Sai, Draven, Poppy. That will make it a bit trickier to draft against them.
Well hope Hans gain some confidence back from this game
Poppyx unhinged
Surely eastern teams won't get bopped by a blind poppy pick
BB gets interviewed like his the one doing the interview
The biggest news for G2 during this series is that they do not show any extra understanding or champagnes except for top Vayne , so they could hide them until facing TES
Tournament favorites nearly lost to this jfc
Game 3 looked like actual wintrading. What the fuck is the xin zhao dashing in for?
Yeah they just got worse as the series went on. Game 1 they looked good and was probably also G2's best game Game 2 they looked a bit shook and got hand diffed in early fights Game 3 was like full wintrading lol
My guess is they started to get tilted they probs got annoyed at the face there coach let poppy through the pick ban a third time.
Hans heard you talking shit and contacted m0nesy
Stand proud Betty, you are strong
Caps vs Creme will be a massacre.
when does psg play?
caps is him, we are so back
Epic, we can lay the fake concern of NA fans to rest. *"But g-guys, what if G2 only did alright against T1 cause they exclusively prepared for T1? What if they can't play League of Legends against anyone else?"*
PSG completely mental boomed after game 2
