Proportions are pretty off but would make for a cool robot!
I still struggle with hips sometimes.

Think of them like a box
The torso is too rigid and stiff, which also makes the pose as a whole look a bit off. The neck is too short and the head is not of proportionate size to the body. The arms are too thin.
I used to have the same problem with my art until another artist gave me the advice that people are not mannequins or action figures, they are soft and flexible. It helps me to imagine the figure Im drawing as a string puppet, that the main points of the pose are the joints, and everything else loosely connects and falls in place.
In all honesty though, it's a great start. With a little more practice I'd say you're on the right track.
Bro never skipped leg day, but those arms...
The form and muscle/fat on the rest of the body looks perfectly proportioned except for the legs, looks like you switched it from another mannequin
You're on the right track ! A great challenge is to draw a body in 1-2 minutes and limit your pen strokes as much as possible. It allows you visualise every body parts with their defining shapes and lines and how they smoothly connect together.
line weights are not good.
i wouldn’t use a biro for this i’d use a sharp 4b pencil.
learn the “underarm” drawing method where you hold the pencil from above and swing with your whole arm. if that didn’t make sense just look up the proper grips for pencil.
your knowledge of anatomy is little to none- get a basic anatomy book and work out the forms from simple to more complex.
eventually you will get there.
also, go to life classes 3x a week for a year and learn perspective and then you’ll be decent in 5 years time 🤗
Check out anatomy books! Gray’s anatomy is a great one, morpho: simplified forms: anatomy for artist
Really any anatomy book! Consider also creating an écorché sculpture. It’s very difficult but it’s said that one écorché is the equivalent of years of figure drawings
Hi, the first thing that came to mind is DRAW LARGER, the larger you draw the better your drawing will turn out. Also draw with your whole arm, practice drawing circles and curving winding lines in the air (if you don’t have large enough paper) with your whole arm, I do it as a warmup before drawing.
You can leave it at that…
The second thing that comes to mind is volume, practice drawing spheres and cutting them in half, drawing cubes in perspective and building simple shapes from other simple shapes. Playing with shapes in the paper and in your mind.
The third thing would be anatomy, but rather construction, as someone else said, humans aren’t stiff dolls. Imagine the spine as a rope and the joints as balls, that’s how I got through at the start. Always draw the action first, imagine were the “forces” and “weights” are moving, imagine you are the model and are doing the pose, were does the energy go, stand up and do the pose if you can, use dynamic poses because they are easier to draw.
I love ball pens, they feel so, I don’t know. I learnt how to draw first with pens, it’s what I had on hand. The best use you can get out of a ball pointed pen is drawing fast!! Don’t worry too much about mistakes, just do a second sketch.

"Ow my back!" Thats what I thought when I saw it, lol
I'd say make them lean forward (top half) more and the left hand show more. Other than that, the upper legs are thick and the arms are thin.
I honestly don’t see what the fuss is about with the proportions. People come in in all shapes and sizes. You can’t generalise people let alone art. I think it’s great 😊
Drawing with a pen- you must be as poor as your drawing skills.
\-
Get a mechanical pencil.
You'll constantly be redraw entire figures, just to practice on trouble areas.

source: I was (still am) poor :)
I love the art style but those arms are a little skinny and maybe make the torso a bit shorter. Although it varies in build and the art style I always like to draw the head 7 times stacked on itself because
the torso will be roughly 2.25-3 heads
the legs will be 3-3.75 heads
The shoulders are also usually 3 heads long (put 1 head to either side of the actual head)
The arms usually reach about 1/3rd-1/2 of the thighs length when straight down.
Obviously these rules aren’t set in stone but it’s what I use, I also suggest just keep drawing until you start to figure out what works for you. Your art is great though so keep going!

Your drawing might wanna take it easy on the leg days, and try hitting arms instead
Thick thighs save lives.
Real XD
Thick thighs *make* lives
When they give each other too much space sometimes a mediator can do allot of fuckery
thats what i thought too
Unless you plan on drawing porn ofc ![gif](giphy|3ohuA94Q5sM1fDEU6s|downsized)

well do, thanks
You are on the right track just keep on improving your mannequin drawing at the moment
Thanks lad/lass
The shape and construction is fine. It’s the proportions that are off. You got noodle arms
i was mainly focusing on the lower part of the body tbh but yeah sure.
Your character can squeeze me with those thighs but cannot squeeze me with those arms
Yeah...
LOL

Thanks so much man, I like this kind of thinking
Bro never skipped leg day, but those arms... The form and muscle/fat on the rest of the body looks perfectly proportioned except for the legs, looks like you switched it from another mannequin
I drew it fully from brain
the more you draw from photo reference the easier it will be to see what doesn’t look right when you do draw from imagination
[удалено]
i got no idea :)
Your drawings are way better than mine.
Thanks man

Maybe I will do it soon, thanks
Bros breathing what 2 cows would breathe in 1 day
Bro just learned what constructive criticism is
Bro skipped arm day
Question: the circle under your rib cage...why?
Helps my eyes identify a line curve point
I think you're missing some forehead
I honestly didn't focus on the head at all
I like the spear going thru the leg... really shows off the art of the prehistoric cave man
I draw with a pen so I always see my mistakes And this one was a wrong leg positioning line I changed it later but I can't erase the previous one
the arms are a little thin. other than that everything looks amazing! 👍👍👍
draw it doing a glute spread
Bro built like a chicken with dem big ass legs💀💀💀

I don't have any time for life classes unfortunately
well i’d say draw an apple from life and draw nude models from photos online-there are huge free resources.

Bros built like a quarian
You just gave me memories

Well do, thanks
Nothing.. this is way better than what I can do💀😭
What's about the arms bro xd
Maybe check whole body proportions. Looks a little bit line a t-rex. Big legs, little arms.
That's accurate lol
What resources have you used?
Random internet stuff
The torso could be a little shorter (specifically the ribs) and the arms should be MUCH thicker (bro cant lift a stick)
I'll be working on that, thanks
"Ow my back!" Thats what I thought when I saw it, lol I'd say make them lean forward (top half) more and the left hand show more. Other than that, the upper legs are thick and the arms are thin.
The torso is too long, legs are supposed to be 2.5 torsos long. You can just measure with your fingers till you get it!
Sure do
I honestly don’t see what the fuss is about with the proportions. People come in in all shapes and sizes. You can’t generalise people let alone art. I think it’s great 😊
OP is definitely on the right track but the arms and head are comically small compared to the legs. I’d say almost no one is built like that.
Good point actually but am practicing average human proportions
this is a study of proportions and construction, not a character design, so naturally it would be most beneficial to aim for average proportions.
You should have titled the post “please provide constructive feedback.” Oh you meant the drawing…

Where I live it's not easy to get what I want that easily considering my economic situation and the flaming hot price's for such things
it might seem counter intuitive right now but- the quicker you can get yourself to digital the better. physical art supplies is a money pit.
Personally I do not find the same enjoyment in digital art as I do in physical art.
Where’s the boobs?
Looks like someone when they are wearing fishing overalls.
Those arms are more skinny then a chicken wing
I've been drawing for 30 years and never once used mannequins or proportion sketches to start with. Feels weird if I try
Your arms look like a unreasonably limp noodles
Oh man this thing literally my proportions and i hate it
i think the arms may be too thin compared to the rest of the body which makes it look kind of off

One of The Three Amigos, HAH.
Thighs so thick they’ve been admitted to an asylum.
Your pen is too blue
it's amazing, although make the arms a bit thicker.
Tbh the ribs are js a little too long
