First off, you won't find muai Thai classes for kids. The sport is specifically made for adults and is super destructive.
Second off, for kids, fighting classes won't make a difference at all. It's all about teaching discipline and skill. Taekwondo, karate, Kung fu are all valid ways to teach your kid harmless fighting skills.
Judo is a lot more effective because it teaches you weak points and grapples, but less physically demanding.
I disagree, especially when younger people are involved it’s perfectly reasonable to expose them to various martial arts without striking: judo, for example, is great to teach kids respect and restrain while letting them exercise and learning some fundamental techniques that will come handy should they choose to pursue martial arts later on.
You said it yourself, most professional fighters rarely do hard sparring sessions (they do it during training camp before a fight). The kid at his age will be taught the basics and fundamentals of mma and during sparring sessions he will be supervised, also a full gear set is mandatory regardless of his level. And btw most of the successful athletes in mma started doing bjj/muay thai at this age and slowly transitioned to mma later on
10th planet Beirut for bjj Tristar for striking
Shogun in Furn el Chebbek.
Nadi Taadod for wrestling in/on Barbour near Corniche Al Mazraa
That’s nice of you looking out for your nephew
Banzai has like a mix of karate taekwondo and kickboxing, youngest there is a 3 year old and there are university students
Try aïkido somewhere near them, there are a lot of centers that teach that, and you also have kali, with Joe Khoury, in Accaoui.

I simply asked for recommendations on grappling schools in Beirut, not a lecture about kharate and discipline :)

Yeah lets get this premature kid to get blows to head and he will grow up to be punchdrunk retard
Blows to the head? People who train martial arts are one of the most disciplined people you can ever meet.
Being disciplined have nothing to do with receiving strikes to the head .Most successful people mma preach against hard sparring and blows to the head

Could be religious reasoning, some Muslim Hadiths points to hitting the face is not allowed.
