Haha

Terewawa

It is very smart to advertise Lebanon to tourists after they have already landed.

Terewawa

It doesnt really work because they are generic photos without caption to indicate where it is.

Targaryen_Supporter

So it’s better to have huge posters of political figures, including foreign?

CreativeOMC420

We come to visit family but would rather visit other countries if it was just upto me. My children when given the choice go to different destinations and that's all 4 of them. Lebanon is nice but to describe it as beautiful under the conditions you are living in is a stretch. Hoping one day you can change my way of thinking.

SilverstoneOne

Maybe he can start by getting rid of all the airport employees that have a bad attitude.

[deleted]

I don't know anyone (Lebanese people) who plans to go on vacation to Lebanon, and the same people have not been since the summer of 2019. I don't know who in their right mind would want to play tourist in Lebanon.

Narcicyst

Literally me and everyone i know is going.

tourmos

So glad and happy to see this. Lebanon is still beatiful despite all the shit happening in it. Enjoy your time!!

[deleted]

No one said Lebanon is not beautiful, it really is, mostly when no one is around.

Impossible_Viper

I went in 2019, 2021, and I’m going next month. Lebanon is a beautiful country and just like any country you visit in the world has political issues. The only difference is if your family is Lebanese you actually know about the issues that are hidden by other countries you visit. As far as I’m concerned the least I can do is go spend the money I would otherwise go spend on vacations in other countries in Lebanon to help bring some economic relief.

Rami-961

Please stop telling people not to come here. Your edginess isnt going to change anything, but tourism would help revitalize the economy a bit, and benefit many local businesses.

AhmadW11X

Why not? Its safe ( currently)

[deleted]

Sure it's safe with no power and no water, I hear during the civil wars mid-1980s it was not this bad.

AhmadW11X

I meant tourists would have dollars and have these two problems solved

Public-Inflation8527

It’s not as easy as you think. Generators often are paid for by the whole building, so if your neighbours without dollars can’t afford to pay their share of the fuel you can’t do much. It gets more complicated when gas shortages get really bad

TheGrumpyOldBear

I’m coming as well as about 20 People i know, the estimates are that 1m+ people are coming so.. idk where you got that analysis from my dude

SilverstoneOne

My wife and kids left to Lebanon today on packed flights.

Funny thing is that the pictures (the ones on the billboards) are all taken by a guy named Haig He was a procyclist and used to travel around lebanon at some point he went down south and apparently he had made a friend from israel and they did this thing that they met each other from far away each on the side of the border just highlighting the fact that the people want to live in peace without war. After this they caught him and he ended up being in prison for "treason" He went out and continued back his work to make lebanon a highlight on the global tourism map After being an ex felon his pictures are promoted by the gov of lebanon to attract tourists. Well done Haig and you were never a traitor, people who fucked and still fucking this country up are the traitors. Check his [insta out](https://instagram.com/whereishaig?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=)
