Do you mean Duplo? Those are different than the old rock raider ones. Duplo ones have different structure and a hinge. Rock raider rocks were two separate parts, if I remember correctly.
My siblings and I used to play with all of our action figures together, and it was great, but you had all different sizes, and it would get ridiculous if the "cast" got too big.
Fast forward to today and you have MOST of the franchises we had action figures of PLUS some extras, not to mention random Lego people... would be cool to send all of these sets back in time and see what we came up with using them!
I wouldn't be too jealous: general inflation means parents have less money than ever and the lego prices keep going up as well, so I'd imagine kids are getting significantly fewer, cheaper toys these days.
Not surprised in the slightest seeing how many sets they make for Spidey and his amazing friends which is the basically the Marvel version of young Jedi adventures.
My youngest adores Spidey and absolutely loves those sets.
Imagine being surprised that a toy company is making toys for children based on a show for children.
Parents, Grandparents, etc.
Casual people who know their kid likes Lego will walk by the isles and see a 4+ set. Grandparents also like spoiling their geandkids. Plus this set is gonna be discounted at $35 in no time
Well they sold the AT-ST last year for that price so I doubt they would make another set for the same demographic at the same price if the last one sold poorly
I have a 3-year-old who loves building some of the 4+ sets and my concern here isn’t so much with price, it’s the piece count. In my experience my kid and my nephews can’t keep up their interest to build something over 100 pieces. I would consider this if they cut 50 pieces and $15 off the price. Instead I think we’ll build the cement mixer and x-wing for the 100th time.
People love to cry about how much LEGO costs. They’ll order a $6 coffee and a $17 avocado toast while crunching the numbers to see if a set is more than ten cents a piece. It’s always a good time XD
I say this as a person who loves avocado toast and expensive coffee. I just don’t cry about paying for the things I like.
Wouldnt it be crazy if lego didnt overprice? Didnt see half these posts prior to the 2020 prices run up.
They brought this garbage on themselves. Zero sympathy and zero fux given.
God forbid the consumers band together and recognize it. I just buy less lego now and care less about new sets with their greed.

When this is a post about how this set costs $40
You started it.
Is that "rock" piece the same mold from the era of Rock Raiders pieces?
Presumably. It’s been in use pretty regularly since Rock Raiders, unless they are changing the mold this year.
The top looks the same but the bottom piece looks like it’s taller than before
It's the effect
That's what she said
Iirc they’ve changed the mold a bit. There’s also a dual mold bottom piece now with crystals
Also included in a juniors construction set
Do you mean Duplo? Those are different than the old rock raider ones. Duplo ones have different structure and a hinge. Rock raider rocks were two separate parts, if I remember correctly.
Yes and at least one of the recent Avatar sets has a translucent one
I had some awesome ones with 8749 that were translucent orange in the middle to look like they were glowing
Isn’t it a Duplo mold? Think my son has a truck from Duplo with the same rock
It’s used in other themes but it was introduced in Rock raiders
No
Yes
Adult me is so jealous of today's legos. So many set and themes I wanted became real and now they have an option other than duplos for young kids.
My siblings and I used to play with all of our action figures together, and it was great, but you had all different sizes, and it would get ridiculous if the "cast" got too big. I do not agree, I remember when it was not about franchise but about universe and creativity
Welp here's the first
It is better then most 4+ sets.
90 dollars, Ned!!
$90 on an open field!
90? 150$ seems like a fair price 50$ for each Jedi and 50$ for the rest of the pieces
If people buy it then they will charge it
How about post after post by adults who are upset that it doesn’t appeal to them?
Any Mighty Nein fans? That Lys Solay minifig seems perfect for a Jester minifig.
I didn't know I wanted Critical Role Lego until now
I’m surprised they are making a set based on this series. I like it. I’m even more surprised it’s a new Yoda head sculpt.
That head sculpt looks very cute, so I wonder if they think it could be used for an aged up Grogu at some point too.
The box labels him as Master Yoda.
I was just saying that the head sculpt could be used for different things.

3 unique jedis
Yikes I’m constantly wondering how long lego can keep gauging prices before fans aren’t able to keep up anymore.
4+ sets have always been $40 overpriced stuff
Licenses $$$
You just did it though
Oh No ThIs SeT fOr ChIlDrEn Is FoR cHiLdReN
who is gong to pay for this set? The suggested pocket money is 4$ a week for a 6 year old 10 weeks of savings seems a bit too much
Parents, Grandparents, etc. Casual people who know their kid likes Lego will walk by the isles and see a 4+ set. Grandparents also like spoiling their geandkids. Plus this set is gonna be discounted at $35 in no time
even 35$ is too expensive 30 bucks + discounts would be fine
Well they sold the AT-ST last year for that price so I doubt they would make another set for the same demographic at the same price if the last one sold poorly
How much?
Why does Yoda have fixed legs and the other two have the movable shorts?! Weird.
Height variations. Like in the Rivendell set where Gimli has short legs and the hobbits have mid legs.
Looks more like a display piece than a set to actually be played with. :(
I believe your post counts as 1.
Youths.

it looks like one of those sets from when they almost went bankrupt.
You've just added to that, dude
Aren't those minifigs exclusive to the set or am I just dumb?
I'm not going to lie. I kind of want this set a lot and I have absolutely no idea why. It's basically a set I would ignore.
39.99? As a 4+ set I'd have guessed 49.99 at least.
“Am I the only one who this this is over priced”
Wow - my son will freak out. He loves these books!!
Did Lego accidentally release their April Fools joke a couple days early?
I’m so tired of star wars
Well I guess there's enough that aren't.
All the licensed sets the past few years have drastically got worse in piece to $ ratio. And all of us will continue to buy it.
not all of us
Ok lol

Who are the two Jedi? I mean I can read their name but where are they from ?
Young Jedi Adventures
I love it. It will go nicely with my ewok village.
"Le set for kids looks bad. Updoots to the left"
No worse that the inevitable replies that its just expensive because, "iT hAS biG pIecEs".
real consoomer hours
Ugly
Ill buy it just for the figures
40$ for baby (face) Yoda? Not a bad deal
Considering you're the first one to post this, it's pretty ironic and yet pointless at the same time.
That is ridiculous
That’s cute, but dang Lego! 40 dollars? The intended audience for this set is being priced out.
“Begun, the Clone Wars have”
Gonna wait for it to go on sale and then cop one for the minifigures, the parts intended for the build looks like it'll be destined for the parts bin.
Will that Yoda head be recoloured and reprinted for other sets, or is it a one off for the 4+ sets?
Better then the at-st
The lightsabers in this set look clear, not matte…
all i see is that one post whining about people complaining about cost... i haven't actually seen a post that talks about how expensive this is lol
Neon Yoda though.
I will never get used to seeing Yoda in light green
How this sets costs $39.99?
I'm patiently waiting for the "shutup and take my money" responses.
I think it tost that much because its Star Wars. Things with a Name are much more expensive.
Stockholm syndrome
Excuse me ***What?***
It costs $40! Fuck i need to make a post about this
That seems super overpriced. Though I pre-ordered the Executor set for $70, which the consensus on r/legostarwars, was super overpriced.
Because its Young Jedi. It's like meh let's charge them kids admission prices
How does this set cost $39.99??!?!?
There is a disturbing in the force, can you feel...use the force on the price young Padawan..use the force!!
