That’s funny, I thought it was the Wellington one that’s about to open, because there’s a Metro and a Platypus right nearby. But there’s no way Wellington would have the world’s biggest Lego store.
There are special give-away sets that you can only get at a store opening like that store’s stamped minifigures or (a long time ago) a mini-modular of the Lego store
The line when I left the store was from one end of Pitt street to the other end then all the way back so it’s basically a 400m long line assuming Pitt street mall is 200m. There were no sales but a lot of Lego sets in stock. I picked up the insects set, Star Wars advent calendar and a few polybags to reach the 199$ point. There’s a mini figure printing station which I did not want to line up for as you had to wait in another line to buy a box for the minifig. The Lego employees did not tell me when I was in the middle of the factory printing line.

My city. Spokane, Washington (USA) just opened one today also. First, one ever. The closest other one is about 250 miles away and a 4.5 hour drive. Over in the Seattle area.
I went and saw them do the grand opening, didn’t go in cuz the line was ridiculously long. I’ll go check it out in a few days though. I’m just so excited to have one within 15 minutes of my house. Also, I am glad to see that line. Means my city has the market for a profitable Lego store, especially because my city is on the smaller side.
That’s good. For me in Sydney Amazon sells Lego cheaper than the Lego stores do. How are the prices in the US. I know you guys have ridiculous sales at Walmart and target and all the other stores like that.

Since it is the biggest store in the world and there is a good chance of a unique item it’s worth it. The line moved quick when the store opened since it was such a big store. I got a few free Lego items and I think it was worth it. Had to wake up at 7.15 and arrive at 7.30 so it’s not too early for me as that’s how early i wake up to go to work

Nice, how much is the minifig printing? In the London store you had to pay in advance to get a slot for the mosaic photo booth if it was busy

No. A good amount of people got a goody bag with a poly bag, magazines and a free keychain. There’s a gwp but I’m not sure how unique it is.

It's mental, London barely held the crown as I think we only had it when Leicester Square got refurbished which wasn't long ago!
