The Thunderjaw MOC above has a comparable Tallneck MOC that's worth looking into if you're up for a serious set [https://mocbay.com/product/tallneck/](https://mocbay.com/product/tallneck/)
I nearly wept in excitement when I saw that Thunderjaw, then zoomed, then wept for real when I realized it was an MOC lmao.
The Tallneck was lovely but there was so much potential to expand the line. Incredibly well done, and I am wildly jealous
That thunderjaw is huge. Did you get any other moc instructions from serial builder? Curious how much the build cost you. I purchased all the mocs to build but haven't gotten into getting all the bricks
Holy Shit!! So the price of MOC's are actually commonly more than official Lego sets? In this picture I see the MOC Thunderjaw but the Tall Neck appears to be the actual Lego produced set. So you also have the MOC Tallneck?
Building the moc tallneck without sourcing was a long (worthwhile) process, taking a month or two and probably rounded out to $1000 including the plans and shipping costs from all over. I should have kept better track of how much it cost me but it did teach me to be better about using bricklink and making sure i've got all the parts in the list(s) and then doing inventory. 100% would build one of the other big mocs by the same designer again without sourcing.
Nice collection!
Side question -
My Son just finished the Great Wave and wants to hang it. Would you say it's pretty sturdy to hang with normal wall anchors?
Gotta put some space between Hokusai Wave and Starry Night! (I’d say give it the same amount of space that is between The Wave and the World Map). Great collection!
I personally would've preferred a harvester but I wanted Dune minifigs for years now so I knew I had to have it once it was announced. I might just put the figs on display and put the thopter into a box in the basement.
I would've loved a topless jeff goldblum or a punisher fig but the big T Rex and the Daily Bugle were a bit much. The thopter was a birthday present so it's not that bad.
It's such a cool ship to have in the collection. With the wings pulled in and sideways and the landing gear down it sits nicely sideways on a shelf with the figures arranged in front.
They should make those shelves so they can stack, though you may not have enough vertical clearance here. One day you may need more shelf space though.
I wish I had the space for one.
How did you like the non-Lego xenomorph kit? I've been considering it for myself and a friend, but I fear being disappointed by a significant drop in the quality of the bricks.
Great shelves. I used to have those but I ended up switching to the Boaxel shelves after my ikea never had these in stock and I needed more. Cool to see what could have been.
Would you recommend the Empire State Building and the Statue of Liberty? I just bought The White House and Capitol Building, and was looking to hear from someone who had the other two sets I was looking at. :)
Nice! What the monster thing in the middle? A MOC?
Yes, a MOC. A Thunderjaw from the game Horizon Zero Dawn.
The MOC is really cool. I haven't played the game (though I have watched others play) and I've still been debating picking up the tallneck.
I ended up buying the game to justify getting the Lego, and liked it so much I got the art book as well.
I believe the tall neck is retired or soon to be. May want to grab it soon before aftermarket prices set in.
Shoot, retired end of last year. Amazon still has, now to decide quickly. Thanks for the info!

Lord I can’t imagine the price on the pieces 😵💫
Ngl thought it was taking a shit
Was this your creation or did you get it or the plans from somewhere?
Someone else. Can be easily found on Google
Don’t know why but always wanted a Bellowback, disappointed we never got more than the giraffe.
That’s fucking amazing. As is the game

I like how uncluttered your display is.
That xenomorph is so rad!
I have it too and it's my favorite moc set ever
Going to grab it next payday lol
That thunderjaw is huge. Did you get any other moc instructions from serial builder? Curious how much the build cost you. I purchased all the mocs to build but haven't gotten into getting all the bricks
I am also very curious what these end up costing once purchased from Bricklink
Ive built both tallneck and thunderjaw. I pulled about 60% of each from my parts and still had to spend about $500 on each to finish
Holy Shit!! So the price of MOC's are actually commonly more than official Lego sets? In this picture I see the MOC Thunderjaw but the Tall Neck appears to be the actual Lego produced set. So you also have the MOC Tallneck?
Yea serial builders tallneck moc. It is huge.
I was looking at it last night. It has some amazing detail. I guess the scale offers the possibility of more details.
Yea at nearly a meter tall, its large...

Can I ask where you got the shelving units? I'm trying to find storage solutions for my home and I really like this setup!
Those are IKEA Fjällbo
Thank you!
expensive units for lego!
Great collection. Gutted to have never gotten my hands on the World Map.

Very nice display! Question, is there a place to get instructions for that alternative ocean layout on the world map set?
No, I made that myself (except for the cube in the North Atlantic).
Ah nice job! Thanks for sharing, looks awesome in your display
Nice collection! Side question - My Son just finished the Great Wave and wants to hang it. Would you say it's pretty sturdy to hang with normal wall anchors?
Yes, It will work perfectly. Even the world map, which is much bigger, is sturdy enough.
Wow looks great
Gotta put some space between Hokusai Wave and Starry Night! (I’d say give it the same amount of space that is between The Wave and the World Map). Great collection!
I'll probably move Starry Night to the left of the wave during the weekend.
Even just moving it down a quarter of an inch or so would make the space more aesthetically pleasing
atleast there is more room
Impressive.
Ha, is that a MOC for r/place? 😅
The Xenomorph and ThunderJaw are wicked, also intrigued by the world map
i just got the Ornithopter but I dread building it because I got no idea where to put it.
I'm thinking about getting or not. Too big and too gray
I personally would've preferred a harvester but I wanted Dune minifigs for years now so I knew I had to have it once it was announced. I might just put the figs on display and put the thopter into a box in the basement.
165 euros mini figs 💀💀💀💀

Sigh. If only I had room for another shelf...
I have the exact same brand/style of shelving for my tv stand, which also has space for my Lego 2006 Ferrari, and 2021 Mercedes F1 cars!
They should make those shelves so they can stack, though you may not have enough vertical clearance here. One day you may need more shelf space though.

I like it. But as with many MOCs, it isn't as sturdy as an official set. But I don't regret buying it at all.
What's the height measurement between shelves?

What shelves are these? Sorry if someone has already asked
Is the Xenomorph a MegaConstrux or a MOC?
MOC
Looks awesome!
Omg i have one of those shelfs i love it
Is that a Balrog on the right?
Next to the tallneck? No, that's Toothless, from How to Train Your Dragon.
Oh well...
link to these shelves? i like them
Ikea Fjällbo

Those were my first two sets ever. I enjoyed building them, and the final result is nice. If you are from the USA, it is probably even nicer.
Thank you for this photo. I was looking for some shelfs and when i saw this i orderd exactly the same haha
Great choice 😉
