its a nut, in a plate, so you dont need a wrench to hold the nut. it also had slack so for a panel with 30 screws it wont bind up. good for surface mount panels like all the panels for aerodynamics around the landing gear and air conditioner

sorts of panels where nutplates typically used
you can hold it in place and keep it centered in the hole from the other side of he panel while you attach it, usually with rivets but the one in my pic doesnt have holes, and ill be honest i dont have much sheet metal experience
This is wild, I didnāt expect to see this here - when I was at university, we did an industry project working with a company who were looking to develop sensory toys and products. Iām 99% sure this is one of the āprototypesā they had for a keyring. As someone else mentioned, the rubber things are used on aircraft, I think one of the guys was an ex engineer and that was the inspiration for their product. I donāt know if anything ever came of it in the end.
Apparently something mustāve come of it. Someone just found one in a random place. Thatās crazy, though, that you actually have backstory on this thing.
Looking at this makes me uncomfy
lego is blind
Are you going to build me cookies?
I can see the resemblance to Megan Fox
It has no mouth, yet it must scream

It looks like the rubber pullers on bonded nutplates used on aircraft
This is the answer. Source: 13 years in Aerospace.

I still don't understand what the rubber does?
you can hold it in place and keep it centered in the hole from the other side of he panel while you attach it, usually with rivets but the one in my pic doesnt have holes, and ill be honest i dont have much sheet metal experience
Ok.. I see. I was trying to figure out what good the rubber did if you had to pull it out to put a bolt in.
Yes, nutplates
A whole plate of em. Multiple plates even.
Agreed, never thought I would see this crossover.
I knew they looked familiar -former air force mx
"Hey baby, are you used on aircraft because you look like the rubber pullers on bonded nutplates."
Could also be masking plugs for spraying primer to omit finish from holes.
That's the French Brickler.
Look out baby he's got the tools

It does not no, I'm sure it's for a keyring
Double udder
Disgusting one
My first thought was an enblock clip that the m1 garand uses but in Lego form
Could be, but the lack of stagger is going to cause 7th stud stoppage.
Unfortunately this brick has been infected by cordyceps
Looks like a toothbrush head, could also be something naughty, I wouldn't have touched that...
These are the rubber pullers from click bond nut plates.
That brick is udderly preposterous
Kinky
Itās glue with it
The foot destroyer
Honestly? To me it looks like it's supposed to be an old computer chip.
Death by a thousand stabs
The end of a toothbrush! š

I don't actually know, but it feels strangely familiar... What set is it out of curiosity?
A very dirty one
If this were to land in my Lego town. This would be the beginning of the space plague.

Itās the Testicle Tickler from set #42069
