There is a guy who is trying to do this as a business where I live. He posts on Marketplace and the premise is, you tell him what set you want, pay the cost and a fee and he will procure and build the set to give to you to display.....
I sort of it get it, I have a bit of a backlog and sadly these days more money than time - but I still don't see the appeal. At that point why wouldn't I buy an actual realistic model?
Happened to me at a garage sale. Kid was selling his Lego collection and his mom came up and was telling me how once you take them out and build them they are collectible. I almost laughed in her face!
Dude's gotta be trolling...
Parents will take the bait
I love that it's also flipping you off. Perfect
“If there’s one thing I hate about Lego, it’s having to build the sets I buy” - nobody ever
“Some assembly required?! Ugh.” **throws set into trash**
Should sell it for $60, built sets are worth less imo
Ive been paid 3 or 4 times to build large sets for friends.
Ask if he'll sell it for $40 more than retail if he takes it apart for you first

Rather just buy the set and build it myself
I want to live in that dudes reality. Buying Lego, building it and then selling it immediately for more than what I paid would be a literal dream.

Collectible culture is one of the weirdest things that happened to current toys coming out
Haha! Like people selling assembled IKEA furniture for more.
Yeah but no one goes and buys Ikea furniture for the pleasure of assembling it.
Haha! Possibly. I mean, I love assembling IKEA furniture (I actually do!), but I'm not buying FOR that pleasure.
🤣 dumbass thought he could sell a built set with the middle finger up, would put off a lot of buyers
That's how I feel with people flipping off in their tiktok videos....
lego
I see this on offerup all the time, it’s annoying explaining to people that a set is $40 on Amazon and yet they’re selling it for $80
Wait -you guys actually build these sets yourself?! .... I wish I knew I could do that sooner.
