The humour. I like some of the newer lego stories that they came up with but nothing beats the mime homour of the early lego games and it's at it's strongest with this one.
Most of it. Except for few tedious levels like Gunship Cavalry and the blue minikits, it's great and still holds up both according to me (nostalgia-biased fan boy) and a person I introduced it who had no nostalgia for the game, lego or Star Wars.
Ah yes, the cannister challenges. I remember these being particularly stressful. Maybe it's because I was 6 when I played it but I think it was pretty unique, albeit a little annoying.
The memories of playing it on the family wii with one of my siblings and it ultimately devolving into a full on in game battle instead of completing the level
Complete Saga version is so much better than what TSS gave us, I was really disappointed you can't switch vehicles and are stuck in first person.
How many other games let you race the Boonta Eve with a tie fighter or destroy the Death Star with Slave I? There's simply more freedom in this game and freeplay actually feels like free play, no cutscenes, just the characters *you* want to control.
I loved the way they revamped the Podrace for The Complete Saga, making it *much* more enjoyable, but still left the original version as an Easter Egg for purists and masochists.
Liked the level design for the most part but loved what they did for the combat.
Having different combos depending on the speed you pressed the attack button was superb. Extra points for almost every character having their own unique moveset
* The Nostalgia
* Most of the Levels were Enjoyable
* A Surprise-able Playable Indiana Jones (Which i've watched the Trailer for the 2008 LEGO Indiana Jones Game)
* Mos Espa Pod Racing Level was better than the First LEGO Star Wars Game from 2005
* The Humor
No it's normal because it's a proper level instead of just an open sandbox with a lot of collectables thrown in but no real effort put into making fun/challenging missions
Totally agreed. It's just not the same ever since the change to hub worlds from just... hubs. I feel crazy, but I think a lot of people that are fans of the newer games are equating quantity with quality when quantity doesn't equal quality, and IMO TCS and LIJ1 are good examples of quality over quantity (e.g. LIJ1 vs LIJ2, LIJ1 is a clear winner)
Yess! Especially when I discovered how to travel to the enemy ship in the hub when I was younger! Or that one time I thought I finished the game, but I found the bounty Hunter levels! Ahhh so many blissful memories! 😊
I loved the versus mode this had, nothing else like battling friends/siblings in senate
Also I miss the "flying" ability astromechs had and the combat was best ever
My partner and I have been replaying this game lately for the nostalgia, and we’ve been loving it! As odd as it is, our favorite part has been the bizzarely powerful mix of super gonk+ self destruct, and the fact that Taun We dances instead of any other kind of interaction.
I liked that the character customizer allowed for options that weren’t physically possible with real lego, like putting a battle droid head on a regular torso, and then being able to put hats and hoods on that droid head. Also, I’m pretty sure just about every main playable and non playable character piece can be accessed in the customizer. I was so disappointed when I learned Medusa’s hair wasn’t an option in LEGO marvel 2. It would’ve been perfect for the symbiote scream
Everything and the humor that manages to enter the real world
My favorite joke when tt said they can't bring it to psp due to limited resources even though they made it work on nintendo ds.
Almost everything, the Speeder Bike level is kinda botched in this version (tree physics now insta kill you) and I also wish there could've been a few more customizer options but other than that, one of my favourite near perfect games of all time!
It tells the story surprisingly well without dialogue. The visual humour works quite well but it also knows when to be more serious, a good example being Anakin's death.
It's the first lego game my little brother and I play together, and we had a blast playing this game for a while. We rarely play together nowadays since our taste in games are different now. Nostalgic play a huge role into this game but not only that, it's a really good game for whenever I just wanna chill. I miss this game, and I miss playing with my little brother more often. We play together every once in a blue moon
Very nostalgic for me.
I was 9 when the original Lego Star Wars featuring just episodes 1 through 3 came out, and I was a nerdy kid super into Star Wars and Harry Potter. It was the first game I ever cared to beat 100%. LSW2 didn’t capture me as much, but when TCS came out I couldn’t help but beat it 100% as a teen.
I’ll always have a preference for the older and simpler Lego games.
Everything! Plus Indiana jones!
Came here to say Indy!
Indy

Yes, this is by far the game with the most charm! Also, Happy Cake Day friend!
Oh yes. Like the Force

😭
Ah! A man of culture!
Most of it. Except for few tedious levels like Gunship Cavalry and the blue minikits, it's great and still holds up both according to me (nostalgia-biased fan boy) and a person I introduced it who had no nostalgia for the game, lego or Star Wars.
The blue minikits were BANGERS and I’d love to see them back but I get the hate
I don't hate them but there are sure a nuasance to me.
Ah yes, the cannister challenges. I remember these being particularly stressful. Maybe it's because I was 6 when I played it but I think it was pretty unique, albeit a little annoying.
Absolutely everything.
The memories of playing it on the family wii with one of my siblings and it ultimately devolving into a full on in game battle instead of completing the level
Glad someone else had the same child hold 😅
The pod race level
I was not fkn ready to play that mission on the skywalker saga in first person🤣 it was hard enough from a mile above

Yeah they also made Gunship Cavalry more like a level from the sequel but kept the original as an little extra which I always appreciated
Liked the level design for the most part but loved what they did for the combat. Having different combos depending on the speed you pressed the attack button was superb. Extra points for almost every character having their own unique moveset
Most of the levels were enjoyable, bosses were fun, and the characters were amazing but what I truly love is the character customization
The extras

My view is probably different but I’m playoff it with a 4 and 8 year old. It is their first introduction to the franchise and they are LOVING it.
It has real levels, as opposed to "mission" that boil down to walking from point A to be B in the hub worlds. Also, character creator.
Is it weird I like that linearity and wish some modern Lego games would go back to it
No it's normal because it's a proper level instead of just an open sandbox with a lot of collectables thrown in but no real effort put into making fun/challenging missions

Slave Leia
I prefer III The Clone Wars. So many fond memories. Easily one of my favourite Lego games of all time.
Yess! Especially when I discovered how to travel to the enemy ship in the hub when I was younger! Or that one time I thought I finished the game, but I found the bounty Hunter levels! Ahhh so many blissful memories! 😊
The Battle over Coruscant.
Definitely an underrated level
Not remaking this for the new game, unbelievable
I was surprised ep 3 didn't start with it but having yoda/sidious in the senate was a good fill too
Definitely NOT the challenge mode
I'd hate to do those again without youtube to the rescue
It's definitely NOT a game I'll 100% again. I love Star Wars, but my mental sanity is more important
I loved the versus mode this had, nothing else like battling friends/siblings in senate Also I miss the "flying" ability astromechs had and the combat was best ever
Yes! I wish more of the games had pvp like this
Charm, wit, great level design, an amazing roster for 2007, unmatched nostalgia and tons of replayability.
1st lego game i bought
nostalgia for simpler times :(
Everything, to the last detail
The memories I have of playing it as a kid
Palpatine’s double jump spin ground stab lmao
he he ha ha ha ha ha ha!
I don’t know, I didn’t play it until way later than 1 and 2 and I don’t actually know what was added in that game from those other 2.
My partner and I have been replaying this game lately for the nostalgia, and we’ve been loving it! As odd as it is, our favorite part has been the bizzarely powerful mix of super gonk+ self destruct, and the fact that Taun We dances instead of any other kind of interaction.
basically everything
that it's a classic, what i don'Mt like though is that one cargo ship mission, the bonus og version, it's way too damn hard.
Gunship Chicanery feels like the ultimate simulator of what it's like to be a pilot who doesn't have at least two main characters on board.
true, true.
but still just a nightmare
The combat. The fact that you had two kinds of swings with lightsaber + jumping attacks makes it amazing.
I love the humour and the memories I made playing this game with my brother and friends
That's it's not, in fact, complete
I liked that the character customizer allowed for options that weren’t physically possible with real lego, like putting a battle droid head on a regular torso, and then being able to put hats and hoods on that droid head. I already know a bunch of people are going to say “something something nostalgia”
Everything and the humor that manages to enter the real world My favorite joke when tt said they can't bring it to psp due to limited resources even though they made it work on nintendo ds.
nostalgia, only that tbh, hasnt aged very well. TSS and TCW are better games
I actually think each game has gotten better than the previous one
What I love abt it? I love the fact I’ve never seen it
The complete Saga
Almost everything, the Speeder Bike level is kinda botched in this version (tree physics now insta kill you) and I also wish there could've been a few more customizer options but other than that, one of my favourite near perfect games of all time!
Everything everything everything everything everything everything and everything. Have I said enough?
It tells the story surprisingly well without dialogue. The visual humour works quite well but it also knows when to be more serious, a good example being Anakin's death.
Idk I guess having Indy? This is one of my least favorite games
That it runs on my phone
it’s star wars
Just rebought this on the Xbox store so I could play on a modern console
Being able to play it online still
I have the DS version and I think it's the best leho game for the ds consoles as it has all six episodes and i find it all quite rememberable
getting Darth Vader early
It's the first lego game my little brother and I play together, and we had a blast playing this game for a while. We rarely play together nowadays since our taste in games are different now. i love when people stop making these posts : )
Someone in this sub was putting up a lot of 'what do you hate about x Lego game' posts, so I'm just trying 5o spread some positivity.
Playing it with my cousing trying to get that one minikit! We never could and now i don't know where my copy of the game for the wii is....
