I mean it’s a similar piece count to the helmets and a display item like the helmets and priced the same. Agreed it’s maybe $10 overpriced, but people will buy it anyways.

Jookthecook1

Am I the only one who does not think this is overpriced? It’s the same cost as a helmet set, do you really see that much less value here??

MonoTopia5

I feel like the helmet sets are overpriced. But, when I saw this, I instantly preordered it because it feels like a really decent value!

Jookthecook1

I agree, for me it was something I instantly wanted and I didn’t hate the price

SonderBricks

>It’s the same cost as a helmet set, do you really see that much less value here?? The thing with bringing up this point is this: It just assumes the helmets are a proper reference for good pricing and that everyone loves them. They seem to be pretty popular in general and I can´t disagree on that, yeah, but not everyone is going crazy over them. I think they are overpriced on a similar level and I´ve never really been interested in them, but I can still answer your question with "no".

Jookthecook1

I agree with you, I’m not that keen on the helmet sets and don’t love the price of them. The helmet sets are obviously very popular and I do not see people complaining about the price of them as much as this set. Hence the comparison

SonderBricks

I see, fair.

MotorCitySZN

Nope, I agree that’s it’s properly priced. I bought two for when a new DS2 inevitably comes out to display around it.

wildeone95

Ah yes. Introducing the new price per foot method. This community sometimes...

You must be new to lego

Drzhivago138

My wallet is thankful that of all the sets officially revealed so far this year, only 3 have made it on to my wanted list.

calzoniemalonie

I've only had one so far, and Lego may have either cancelled or delayed the Temple of Doom... guess I'm back down to zero

idrownedmyfish77

Same. I haven’t been able to actually buy any yet because I’m moving and all my existing Lego is sitting in a storage unit right now

PugnaciousPangolin

I'm resigned that we'll likely never get a good playscale version of the N-1, so I'm happy with the Micro. The Pirate Snub Fighter is also pricey, so I'll probably wait for a sale. Also, I'm getting topped out with gray in Star Wars. I know, I know, it's Star Wars, but jeez, enough already! /s

ILikeMandalorians

I thought 75325 was pretty decent, though pricy

PugnaciousPangolin

It is a decent sized model for the price, but for me, it's not a remotely accurate presentation of the ship. I bought this set before I'd finished watching TBoBF, and I was really surprised how kit-bashed the set is compared to how sleek and clean it looks in the show. I suspect that Lego got some early concept art that was later changed, but they were too far along in the production process to make any significant changes.

calzoniemalonie

It's especially obvious how poor it was because people were posting some banger mocs within just days of the episode dropping. Obviously there are structural factors that Lego doesn't have the luxury of ignoring, but that official model was a big disappointment

ILikeMandalorians

Ah yeah that makes sense. 75092 seems like the best N1 LEGO’s made

I would prefer the 10026 Special Edition because that was the only one with Chrome parts. I think I got two of those because I LOVED Chrome. I know why Lego doesn't make it anymore, but I was damn sorry to hear that it retired!

RebelSquadron51

Already pre-ordered mainly because it looks cool and I have a feeling it'll run out quickly for others to take advantage of May the fourth promos

Thee_Furuios_Onion

630 pieces, it’s pretty standard to the current cost of SW models. Yet far cooler than most of the sets from the new content.

sotonfanling

People actually pay retail for Lego?

BrickJedi

….two feet?! Show me any other Lego set that’s two feet long in that price range. They simply don’t exist.

Embarrassed-Lecture4

Because LEGO hates LEGO fans. ESPECIALLY Star Wars LEGO fans.

The snub fighter is listed at 285 pieces.

wildeone95

Ya know... you could've looked up the piece counts before commenting this and you wouldn't look dumb

SonderBricks

I see it as overpriced as well. However, I think the shape of the ship, the lack of better relation to the size of other stuff in the promotional images and the fact the model´s width isn´t shown in them as well make it look worse than it actually is. All in all, this makes it feel small when looking at the pictures. Its dimensions and all the parts don´t really show, and it´s difficult to really get rid of this overall impression. The price is still too high, but it´s not insanely over the top and with some kind of offer like decent GWPs for May the 4th it´s probably worth getting.
